Is the o/p transformer on the back of the speaker, or is all that just the magnet? Putting the transformer on the speaker was a thing in the 50s, yeah?
Yes, but those transformers are visible, and they usually have an electro magnet rather than a permanent magnet, so they have 4 leads going to them. I think they just put the output transformer on the board. Thanks for watching!

Growing up i remember seeing speakers with the transformer on the back .. At the time I had no idea how any of tht worked .
