Search “Michael Manring Adhan” to hear the amazing things you can do with an ebow and a fretless. He’s a master of the fretless bass. He also does advanced slap, tap and other techniques in other songs. Mainly a studio player so a lot of people don’t know about him.
How do you tune it?
Tuning done at the end knob of the saddle bridge. It is very easy for string replacement and tuning
I like to play the guitar.
We're all waiting for a good demo with more effects, faster playing and only highest register, if possible. This was close, but not perfect
And don't forget looping several tracks at once and using an Ebow. I don't want some crappy demo where I can hear what the bass actually sounds like.

This particular bass doesn't sound very good to me. I myself play fretless and surprisingly, I have never yet found a better fretless than Stagg Fusion so far..
Bass seems to be great, but what's the point of this kind of demonstration? There are way more standard-playing bassists than Ichika Nito-style. Regarding the bass itself, I will gladly try it, but I'm almost sure that I'm not going to like it more than my SRF705. This EHB is probably lighter and smaller due to having chambered body and being headless and for some people it has more interesting color, but it probably sounds worse and as someone here mentioned, it doesn't have a piezo, like it should.
Yeaaaa… gotta learn how to play a fret less in tune.
They feel amazing to play regardless. Don't fear the fretless.

Nice. People need to understand microtonality.
Some people understand micro-tonality and can tell the difference between it and bad intonation. There are others who can't, and think that bad intonation equals micro-tonality.

What happened with presenting the instrument and its sound, action, playability?!?! This is the advertising for a player and not for a bass. I wanted to preorder it but now.......no thank you, I still have no idea how the bass even sounds ,let alone other important aspects.

Jaco Pastorious, Victor Wooten and many other great musician ( incl. Keith Richards, of course) would say "Your ears are out of tune" to deferrent styles. ha ha ha.
Otherwise, presumably they don't know the notion of "Outside" phrasing with polytonality or atonality in Jazz/Jazz fusion.

This is absolutely out of tune-he sounds like he typically plays a fretted bass and is playing things he’s used to playing on a fretted bass. Claiming this is intentionally “polytonal” or “atonal” is a bit embarrassing.. it is very clearly not on that level.

@@fibonacho All of that is a very reasonable explanation! I tend to agree. No shade towards the player at all, only disagreement with the idea that it’s an intentional display of microtonality. It’s clear the player has chops! Thanks for that, I appreciate the reply!
There's a fretless bass player who endorses Ibanez. He doesn't do any out-of-tune bass tricks. Instead, he is a master musician who plays the bass, and his name is Gary Willis.
There are also videos available of Hadrien Feraud playing fretless - now.... that's a bassist to admire!!!!

I'm a big fun of Ibanez guitars and basses. This video is awful. Yuki Atori for sure is a very good musician, but this isn't a good demostration. Ibanez shouldn't upload a video like this one. It's my humble opinion

I’m sorry, but that’s some of the worst intonation I have ever heard on a fretless.

@@yuki_atori 全体的に音程悪いけど、バッキングの音が下がるところ（特に高音側）、半分辺りから入ってくるソロとか特に。
音程とか目を向けずに音楽を楽しみたいけど、これは酔いそうになるくらい音程悪い。ガチで目が回った。
紹介動画だから見に来たらこれだった、なので「聞かなくていい」は違うかと。
でもこれを素敵と思えるならその方が幸せかも。
目が回って悪酔いしそうでした。

@@yuki_atoriギターとバイオリン弾いてる者だけど、ピッチが悪く聞こえる原因として、正しい音程より低くズレるところと高くズレるところがあるのが大きな原因だと思う。特に低くズレる時に？？ってなるから、本来の音程より少し高めを狙って出すことをおすすめします。そうすれば高くズレててもあまり気づかないし、低くズレることはまずないです。あとはスケールの練習をたくさんして、指の間隔を体で覚えましょう。タッピングとかハーモニクスの技術はさすがですね。確かに僕も音程のことを指摘されるのは耳が痛いですが、先程のコメントはさすがにダメですよ。言葉を選んでください。言うなら僕もインスタあげてるのでそこでボロカスに言えば？
