this is why when I was livin in sydney i just said stuff it and went to Ebisu instead. All up when I first went in 2015 it was about $10k for the trip including purchasing a C33 Laurel and drifting it for ~6 days. A bit more than a matsuri weekend here, but still cheaper on a dollar per lap compared to trying to enter events in NSW. Plus you get to experience Japan. Bit harder these days, but worth considering still I think.

My group had the camping spot for Matsuri on the back straight, just after the start line.
Walking around near pits, I noticed you driving around in the s13 was badass.... !
funny thing about seeing this video is that i put together a small list 2-3 days ago to get an idea for an afternoon sesh Cost at QR playground, tho one thing you can add to the list is the AASA licences Cost $150 for 1 year.
Very informative video, I was amazed at how much it costs you each event, lucky you have sponsors, hopefully that helps
It’s quite a lot for a matsuri, other single day events aren’t this much which is nice! And yes! The sponsors help massively!!

I did my tally for the costs of Matsuri just gone. I did it as conservatively & cheaply as possible, my actual cost amount was $1434, not including the extra tyres I didn't use as it was raining. In that amount is $250 for a new fuel pump that died on Saturday night.
Otherwise usually between $1600-$1800 for me. I do it budget style 😂 my car doesn't put on an epic smoke show like yours does although i wish it would. Epic driving btw 🤙

There is only two of these matsuri events a year thankfully! The single day events are about half the price of these! 😌

Sell it, get a low powered car and streeto, reinvest that $3500 into a holiday! every so often
Streeto still costs alot depending on the car
Not bad but well worth it. More wheel time the better and those black wheels look great. Cost me over 5k for new head , timing chain and tensioner, new water pump and decked block with all fluids flushed and replaced on the 3rzfe.
But my ls400 only paid 900 for it. I like to shred old used tires in the parking lots of abandoned industrial parks. Only drag strips out here in Pennsylvania where I live. Not sure if Pocono speedway has drift events.

@@MikaTatjanayou're very welcome. Drifting is more popular out west, lots of dirt trails in the east to drift dirt bikes though, but I got my Forza too. I gotta get a passport. Australia has some awesome muscle cars.
And wow you handle 700hp like a pro! I would honestly be a little scared.
