Hey Alberto thanks a lot for the nice words! 😊 We are very fortunate to be able to live a life doing the things we love, and can't take it for granted!
You two are so cute, I love watching you channel, back to back episodes, I just stumbled upon your channel and it's so cute how Matt speaks english and Youjin speaks Korean. Thanks for your vids. Much Luck on your channel....
Thanks so much Helen! 😊 Really appreciate the nice message! Haha usually we speak Korean together (with English mixed in here and there) but decided it'd be best for the videos for me to speak English!
❤❤😍Your channel is literally my comfort place. You make me so happy. Love you 🤗❤ I love to go to Korea🇰🇷. I love BTS ❤Jjajangmyeon🍝, Tteokbokki, noodle🥤, Kimuchi, Samgyeopsal🤤❤
Prolly already tried this route, but here goes: check if there are any replacement filters for yr washing machine! Mine's pretty ancient too, but the manufacturer still sold new replacement parts!
Thanks a lot for the tip Kijoon Bae! 😁 We just checked online and they are about 22,000 KRW or so. Going to try a super clean of the one that we have already, and if that doesn't work we'll have to ask the landlord to replace the filter entirely!
Nice! Simplified, essentials you only need, the less to worry about and more time to enjoy life outside the box. Your refrigerator may have maintenance issues or mechanical. Ice inside refrigerator- check thermostat if it's set too high, Inspect the door seal that its sealing properly, for a small unit try not fill it up so much that air flow is restricted causing some food to spoil quickly. If ice builds up and reoccur inside freezer the defrost thermostat is burn out and needs replacement. This can cause ice build up to restrict cold air into the refrigerator. Most refrigerators have an access panel inside the freezer depending on the model make and this part can be replaced. I hope this helps otherwise you may have it repaired or your refrigerator almost due to retire. 😁👍
Wow thanks so much for all the valuable information Jason2Wheels! 😊 We're going to start by clearing out space and getting a lot of airflow in it to see if that fixes the problem, and if it doesn't then we will have to contact the landlord to send some people over to repair it if it's actually a mechanical issue. The fridge could just be on its last legs haha we'll see! Take care eh! 😁
Hello! Thanks for the video! I had a fridge that built up frost inside too. It turned out that it was because it was overfilled and the air couldn't circulate properly, like if it is overfilled at the back and the vents are blocked, maybe give that a try?
Oh actually we didn't give this proper consideration before as our fridge is absolutely jam packed. Thanks so much Shredward we will try making some more space where the vents are and see if it works out!
Wow you guys have a\such a lovely cozy home! The best thing is you are sooooo close to everything its super convenvenient! You can reach the kitchen in one step from your bed and how handy is the fridge its right next to the desk! Oh with the fridge try having less stuff in there and leave the back clear especially in the freezer. Also on your terrace you could put some raised boards so the water runs underneath and you keep your stuff dry.
Thanks so much John Chia! 😊 We are really lucky to be able to live in this area, and love the positivity! Grabbing a drink from the fridge while watching a movie without pausing is a luxury indeed! Thanks a lot for the fridge/freezer tips too! We definitely have to clear out some space inside to get the ventilation going. I didn't realize how important that was. The raised boards on the terrace is a really good idea too! Will have to see if there is a budget solution for that as we won't be living here forever.
Wow those are great tips, John! That would make our home even better! Thanks for sharing your opinions! Also the way you think is so positive that I got inspired by your positivity! Amazing! Thanks for your support and hope you're doing well too! ☺ (From Yujin 🤓)
Good to see Yugin back. Thanks for the exposé. I guess for most people life is a bunch of compromises. The main thing is to find some happiness as both of you exhibit. Regards
I live in a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in Seoul (highly desirable to Koreans), but we still have problems with the washing machine and damp. We got the washing machine deep cleaned recently but still got white streaks. And the windows provide terrible insulation. If you can afford it, you could buy a dehumidifier. We have one by Winix and it's great. The building quality here is far lower than in the UK.
Thanks so much for this information Stevo! 😊 I guess at this point the washing machine probably just has to be replaced eh? We will definitely consider getting a dehumidifier too!
@@lostthenfound It depends what is causing the problems regarding the washing machine. Is it the inner drum of the washing machine spreading dirt into your washing loads, or is it the pipes from the building sending in dirt? One affordable method to check is to get someone to come to your house and clean the washing machine. They will take it apart and clean the inner drum with a pressure washer. It cost us 70,000won. Good luck! :)
i used to live in that exact area! but my apartment was better haha just a little though. i also agree that i'd rather live in a nice area than in a gorgeous apartment in the middle of nowhere. especially as a foreigner! that would be really isolating TT some advice: i think it's worth it to speak to your landlord about replacing things. i was able to get my entire toilet replaced because it sucked. or at least get them to send maintenance workers!
Oh that's awesome Angela! It's a really nice area to live in eh? Super close to everything but so quiet and peaceful when you want to avoid the crowds. By far the best area we've lived in in Korea so far! Also that's great advice! Our landlord is quite cheap when it comes to replacing things in our house unfortunately. He's in his 90s, so that could be why he doesn't care as much about keeping the place maintained and replacing things. Will keep asking and see if we can make things a bit better at least! Haha
This 100% Abhishek! Recently Yujin and I talked about this. Right now the only thing we have to fix in our life is "making money", but everything else is actually really amazing! And making money is something we can learn to do overtime. If we weren't "happy," it's a lot more complex to fix that problem as it can stem from so many variables. Hope you're doing well and staying happy too! 😁
I was also living with my wife in Sinchon in a shitty studio 22m² half underground for 350 000won +50 000 charge and i had the same washing machine ahah and then we moved to Gunpo for same rent but it was a 2016 building and only 17m² 4:30 i do not agree because u will be more likely to spend money outside 😅 6:35 and also u can't watch sensitive content on your screen because she can watch all, while with my wife we are each other opposite side of the table what about having a lh social house for ridicule amount of rent or a Jeonsae which cost less with a small interest fee?
Haha the washing machine is terrible eh! You guys had a super cheap place though! Agreed that it can get expensive eating out, but we have adapted and eat most of our meals in our place now. As far as Jeonse goes, there are a lot of scams these days so we are really hesitant to do it. Even if you study real estate every day in Korea it's still possible to get scammed and lose all of your money so it's a big risk for sure!
Always think it's so great when people figure out what's really important in their life, and do what they need to make it happen.
Life is so short, so I agree and think it's so important to spend as much time as possible enjoying it, no matter what it takes!
Your honesty and life philosophy are truly refreshing. Keep up the good work! ;)
