This is part 1, excited as we continue to improve and share how we not just implement these tips, but truly master them! Leave a like to let me know you want more!! Told you this season we will aim to take things up a notch! There is some "sparks" no pun intended of brilliance. But that is not enough. We need high level of consistency. I've played no fill for a few games cuz I don't have people to play with most of the time and I really like watching these videos. I only started playing with a few weeks left in season 10 and I have watched TGM play a lot solo but I still really like these breakdowns.
I love the timing of you making this video, especially since i just restarted doing no-fill again last night. This time I'm just going with the goal of landing close to a hot drop, picking one fight, and creating distance while playing around a structure closeby and so far it is going better than my previous sessions when my goal was just "try to win the match"
I will say some of the best nights I had playing with friends was after playing an hour or 2 of solo duos, not quite at trios yet, before they would get on. I would feel more confident holding off 3rds or even starting another fight while they finished off the other team.
I'm console masters for the last 2 years. Everyday when I first get on I do solo no-fill for an hour or 2 to warm up. I can confirm, at least from my experience that the sbmm this season feels very sweaty. My pubs lobbies are actually sweatier than my ranked lobbies are right now which feels wrong tbh. Your videos always give me good content to listen to in the background while I do my own no fills. Don't get discouraged and good luck this season!
I recently find my self playing catalyst a lot, and playing her solo no fill is so hard, yet so effective way to learn her fundamentals. Only way I can beat 1x3 is get to the building and play around her utility, or put her wall and play in and out the wall. I find myself shaking facing teams then I solo no fill, but I believe experience will do good for me. Ty Dazs!
If you can find a building with one door and the glass wall with an opening on the opposite side (like the ones in energy depot) you can put a spike strip behind the glass wall to make it so they can't push in and seal the door so you can play off both sides. Really effective way to ensure u dont get aped
I started Solo no filling last season and it has really helped me overall with my teammates and with my overall awareness. There have been many games this season where I make my friends rotate and not fight a fight that have resulted in us either winning or getting the final game because the fight we were about to get into was gonna be third partied or force us to play with our backs on zone. It also helps clutch some 1v2 or 1v3 if your teammates go down. Great way to learn.
been missing these, glad to see them back! Can't wait to see how the updates go. I like doing no-fills on occasion and I tend to have a lot of fun despite having never won a match that way. Tho I'm not exactly doing myself favors when I no-fill with catalyst
Your intro made me feel so much better. I am currently watching this guide AS I’m loading in between matches, and I decided this would be my season to get better as well since last season landed me in masters (which I didn’t feel was quite deserved). It helps so much knowing im not the only one struggling and that I have a chance😅 (not to mention I’m a Wattson main as well and I want to get that offensive fence down too)
Always played only duos no-fill... when you started mentioning about being in fights and trying to make the teams believe i belong to some other team, I queued for trios and landed a 2.5k 9 kill game first try. It's such a good tip and I honestly dont think many people realize this. I position myself so both teams cant shoot me and only push in for finish and reset. I play Octane so I have an easy time dipping in and out of fights. I just wish Octane's stim took a bit less hp...
I am a fairly new player and went from Sniper girl to octane. I solo queue in duos a lot and I have gotten close to victory. I find that one trick is that people push aggressively when they see you are solo, and if you are ready its an easy way to get a win over a team. They usually try and run after they get low and you can chase easily to finish. I also think that choosing fights and specially where you fight from is key. Its always good to have a spot where you can charge shields if the fight turns against you.
Great video as usual. I am newish to Apex, I only played ranked in S15/16, I ended up in D4 in S16 but it was hard solo queuing to it, It actually totally burnt me out and so during split 2 I only played 5 games of ranked. I've noticed this season, as you said in the video that the sbmm is crazy, it will pair me with two level 20-50 players but put me against 20bomb/4k/masters players, and It made me realise that my mechanics are still lacking, In terms of improving raw mechanics (gunskill/movement/fight under pressure 1v3 etc) do you think pubs is the way to go and to just fight as much as possible? Looking forward to part 2!
I am actually feeling you. I am even getting demolished without nofill. So i thought to myself like, did i really played this game for 4k hours and havent learn anything? Because i got died so many times in no time. This season, matchmaking is really harsh on people. It was giving some bot lobies to reset yourself when you got so many losses earlier season but not this season
A common problem i am running into is teams instantly sticking rez. (lifeline, newcastle, bangalore) and then taking another 1v1 (cause they are split) but the teams are smart enough to know to either ditch rez and help the fight or stick it and reset a 2v1 against me. any tips? sometimes i get cracked but most of the time I’m full health and its hard for me to counter team fire. Thanks for the series i bet you’ll get a big win soon ;)
I usually try to finish the person by shooting them if their teamates aren't camping them. If they are then i usually use a thermite to kill the downed or i try to cut the teamates off or distract them somehow
I play a lot of solo matches, heck I almost prefer them, but I'm also aware of how different my strategies are than when I'm with a squad. I can experiment with different landings spots. It's generally a far stealthier approach. I'm not running top speed to keep up with randoms, so I'm able to keep my gun out far more often as I move around. I always carry a sniper rifle. I'm aware that enemy squads identify you easier as either a solo player or the last member of a squad. I prioritize ammo, evac towers and ult accelerants over health, shields batts, mobis and knockdown shields. No fill duos can present different challenges than trios because it seems like duo enemy squads are tighter and frostier whereas enemy trios can get complacent and too relaxed, especially when looting. (I get more kills in my trio games) The list goes on..
damn i was dropping hottest games last season, felt like literal god, and now i feel as bad as i started with no knowledge of game. also i feel like my aim sucks(i really need to improve, but they finally learned how to strafe) i started introducing more movement like wall bouncing, and superglides(still not 100%), but damn if i dont turn mic on, and coordinate with teamm8, this season is hard compared to last or previous where i could as well go solo(i h8 it :) )
I started no filling this season to improve my aim/positioning as well as to try to get rid of some of the panic that ensues when im the last one standing in my squad and I have to take a 1v1 or 1v2. I have been doing solo duos and hot dropping every game. My KD has plummeted as 9/10 games I drop and instantly get rushed by a team or get one knock and the other teammate is close by to finish me. Do you drop hot or do you usually try to avoid the initial chaos and land somewhere nearby? Landing hot has definitely helped improve so far but it's a very frustrating experience especially with rng and what not.
recently all my games have been: Fill trios, bad teamates dying off rip onto solo duo's, im not personally good enough so I cant actually win then i move onto ranked, and realize its nothing different since im only rookie 1 rn then i just have no more will to play anymore
Im ngl, ive done no fill trios...its so annoying. Knowing u got 2 out of 3 and the last guy is one tap and you barely lost. Ive done it quite a bit and tho it all...ive obtained 1 win and thats it
As this game so called apex legends keeps changing none of this guide will always work unless it’s an update guide and it’s unpredictable by any guide to guide you to the rank pred.
Is it best to start off in duos first? Also how do you isolate enemies in a 1v1? I heard the best way to solo no fill is to isolate people. I once shot at a Seer and he had a revenant and both started firing at me lol. It just feels like the moment I focus on one two teams look my direction

"But if you've got the Avengers chasing you, you're not gonna survive" is the funniest thing I've heard all week
i pray for a long series i just love watching you play whether you do good or bad your attitude towards the game is the only reason i still like apex.
Future episodes will be way longer, promise! First week trying was pretty rough. Clear I need more time. Aiming for another episode next Thursday!

Did your KD drop a lot from doing this? not that it matters but definitely is hard on the mental.

Ah yeah solo 3s... i mean just Regular 3 at the start but 1-2 mins in the game you have a 80% you be a solo :)
First and can you do a rampart guide?
recently all my games have been:
Fill trios, bad teamates dying off rip
onto solo duo's, im not personally good enough so I cant actually win
then i move onto ranked, and realize its nothing different since im only rookie 1 rn
then i just have no more will to play anymore
what do you think of octane for solo queue no fill? (I play duos rn so its quite a bit easier)
what is the music specific i cannot find it under ost apex ?? xD thanks for vid will try to get better at solo in this game seems FUN!
Will update, it is Mega Man x password screen, donkey kong country aquatic ambience, and map - waterworld SNES.
Im ngl, ive done no fill trios...its so annoying. Knowing u got 2 out of 3 and the last guy is one tap and you barely lost. Ive done it quite a bit and tho it all...ive obtained 1 win and thats it
YIPPEE

I actually aim better nowadays
Im listening to this because my whole team dies and then i need to solo que
SBMM is trash, in duos I was set up against the number 1 horizon in the world.
Can't lose if I only care about improvement instead of clawing my way out of bronze
Call ME crazy cause I'm grinding no fills Crypto.
I enjoy nofill. DO NOT enjoy the sweaty matchmakimg
Why is this dude playing at low graphics 720p 😂😂 this isnt 2015 anymore.

Most of the players like 80% of them use CRONOS ,Xim Apex PC PS4 XBox, and NOBODY from EA do nothing

I once shot at a Seer and he had a revenant and both started firing at me lol.
