    Couple of interesting changes from the TC07 in your review to the current version, that I purchased a week ago.
    Both USB connections have been upgraded from mini USB to USB-C. The charging current from the USB charger is only 500mA, quite low for USB-C.
    The image downloaded from the camera using the USB-C seems to be faster than USB 2.0. The camera can actually be used as a flash drive.
    The user manual has an added page that is not in the downloaded version from their website. It states the internal battery is rated at 5000mA/h.
    The microphone input level is still quite low, and for videos I needed to raise the audio track level using aftermarket video editing software to get the wildlife sounds up to a reasonable level.

      Thank you for that interesting update.
      I really wish they’d increase the audio volume and also put the microphone on the front of the camera to increase clarity.

    Good morning sir Paul.
    Another great trail camera review.
    I have the TC06, great camera and great sound. Two things I didn't like about the TC06, the 10s delay in video recording and the lack of an external battery input. At the time, I almost bought the TC07, but there was a design error in the microphone on the TC07. This is easily corrected by the user, he just has to buy another microphone and adapt it with a hole in its plastic case. There are even videos on RUclips teaching this. sorry for my english, it's not my native language.
    Regard’s.
    Erik from Brazil.

      Hi Erik - hey, your English is just fine!
      I would like to try the TC06 as I’ve heard about the audio.
      Thank you for letting me know about the microphone - I’ll check out the videos about it.
      I certainly really like the solar panel - I agree, I’d prefer a 1 second delay rather than 10!
      All the best,
      Paul

    Great review, Paul! Is this your favorite Campark? I am thinking of getting one.

    • @paultreviews
      @paultreviews  Год назад +1

      Thanks Dave, certainly it’s my favourite by far for audio. As it’s ‘no glow’ the night footage isn’t as good as the ‘glow’ cameras. If stealth or security is important then it’s a good choice but as I only use it in the garden it’s not so important for me.

      @@paultreviews Thanks, Paul! I ended up choosing the TC08. I am guessing it is very similar. Can you tell me if of these Campark cameras put the timelapse together for you or not?

    • @paultreviews
      @paultreviews  Год назад +1

      I have the TC08 / T180 and like the form factor - it charges up well from the solar panel - it's certainly one of my favourite cameras. I have just shot a time lapse on the TC08 for you and it only shoots a series of images and doesn't put the time lapse together. The minimum interval is 5 seconds. I also like the T300 / TC02 a lot.

    • @CharestStudios
      @CharestStudios Год назад

      @@paultreviews Thanks, Paul! Like you, I wish they would make the interval down to one second. It would also be great to have the timelapse put together by the camera. I do have some that put it together but they all seem to have that 5 second interval minimum. The quality is excellent and it is nice to see such improvement.

    I just received mine in the mail and have spent all afternoon with it. The motion sensors seem to not be working and have emailed the company and they are out of the office now. I was so excited about this but sadly mine is not working.

    • @paultreviews

      I am sorry to hear you’re having a problem with your new trail camera Tina.
      I am sure they’ll respond once in the office on Monday.
      I presume the internal battery is all charged up and showing 100%
      To test the sensors have you tried setting it up in the house and walking past it.
      Check to see that it is set to operate and record at all times.
      As it has two lenses try it daytime and nighttime.
      I am sure you’ve done all these - I am just trying to come up with suggestions to try and isolate any problem.
      In the dark when you walk in front of it do the red lights come on?
      Is the SD card a class 10 U3? Have you formatted in the camera?
      Try re-setting to factory defaults.
      Set it to take both photo and video and check on the card if it’s done either.
      Please let me know next week how you are progressing.
      I am away on holiday right now but back home from 8th May.

    Awesome review! Though can you please explain what you mean by it having a 13-megapixel sensor, when it’s advertised as having 60-megapixel sensor?

    • @paultreviews
      @paultreviews  Год назад +1

      Thank you - glad you found the review useful.
      Your question is a really good one.
      The camera’s sensor is a native 13 megapixel sensor.
      However the software has a facility to interpolate up the pixel count as high as 60mp
      This means it takes the 13mp and creates new pixels from the existing pixels. So the 60mp image doesn’t give better image quality - just more pixels.
      This can be handy if you want to print an image to a very large size such as A2 or A3 - but otherwise 13mp is good for most uses and indeed can be interpolated up in various software at a later date if required.
      Each company likes to have a software facility to interpolate pictures because it sounds as though the camera is better.
      I hope that answers your question and in my opinion I take no notice at all of the biggest photo size - it’s the amount of pixels the sensor can produce ‘natively’ that counts. Just about all of this type of trail camera has the same size sensor,

      @@paultreviews Thank you for taking the time and effort to give me a really in-depth reply to my megapixel query, as the way in which you explained how it all works certainly helped me to understand everything clearly. 10 sec interval seems awful, it lost me right there. But what is the maximum vid length? is it the 30sec as shown?

    • @paultreviews
      @paultreviews  2 месяца назад

      It’s a lot more than 30 seconds - I’ll let you know when I’m back home in 5 says.
      However you said ‘it lost me right there at a gap of 10 seconds.’
      I too would prefer a much smaller interval between videos (it’s 5 seconds for photos)
      That’s why I set to longer videos (60 seconds) so there is no interval.
