- Fibre Channel (FC)
Stores virtual machine files remotely on an FC storage area network (SAN). FC SAN is a specialized high-speed network that connects your hosts to high-performance storage devices. The network uses Fibre Channel protocol to transport SCSI traffic from virtual machines to the FC SAN devices. To connect to the FC SAN, your host should be equipped with Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs). Unless you use Fibre Channel direct connect storage, you need Fibre Channel switches to route storage traffic. If your host contains FCoE (Fibre Channel over Ethernet) adapters, you can connect to your shared Fibre Channel devices by using an Ethernet network.
Fibre Channel Storage depicts virtual machines using Fibre Channel storage.

Does Single LAN shared to ESXi and Created Datastore over FC SAN, Its shows same datastore to other ESXi connected with FC HBA to each Host. but does it work simultaneously? does it not required metadata controller? if i am writing data over on same FC LAN simultaneously to each host does it work fine or chances to corrupt the LUN Volume?
SIr, it may be a dumb question from my side, just a doubt. You said 64 hosts have 64 HBA adapters and 2 HBA adapters from both storage controllers , All are connected to switch 1(64+2 = 66 HBA adapters , which means 66 WWN numbers). So Switch 1 should have 66 HBA adapters too(64 from 64 hosts and 2 from each controllers) ?. cable both end should be connected to HBA adapters. 2 from Controllers and 64 from Hosts. Correct me If I am wrong.
You're correct - FC Cabling diagram is bit difficult to understand in one go ! :)
@@maverickcloud Like you told we will buy SAN switch with empty ports, we have to buy separate adapters (15gbps speed) which cost around 500$
Sound quality is so poor.
sound quality are not so good, hope you are India guy bcz india guys never make video with proper sound quality.
