I think you have confused talent with cue power,he is right up there with or even slightly above Neil Robertson, Stephen Lee, Steven Maguire and even Shaun Murphy maybe but the most naturally gifted in my opinion are Ronnie, Jimmy and the hurricane.
@@Darth_Sai thanks, in Canada we don’t see much Snooker ever. I’m old and am a Hendry fan for years! I have watched the rocket now for 3 years on and off when available. I like trump and thought his semi-final at the worlds this year was excellent! Clearly watching the final he was just out played. I’m not an expert though
What Judd does bring to the game, are shots that NO one else ever dares to play, and most simply can’t play! He may not ever end up being considered the best, but there’s no doubt his talent and ability
Judd trump playing is as natural as it gets makes the most difficult shots look easy he’s the real deal and think this year he will be world champion again in April 2024.
OK, the first shot seems so unnatural to me. I've never seen anything like it. I assume it's real, but it doesn't look real. I've played snooker for years and can honestly say I've never seen this before. The footage almost looks tampered with. Crazy.
He really needs to play more 9, 10, and one pocket. His ability to feel out the necessary power and get a sense of the felt is unmatched, better even than anything I've ever seen from Ronnie. Granted this yankee doesn't get to watch much snooker so there's that.... Ronnie still has him with procedure, tactics, shot planning, and the like, Ronnie's unmatched there just so smart, but if Judd learns to be better at that, wow.
9:25 Hendry’s comment is so dead on. Ronnie’s skill is his overwhelming positional ability, not in using exhibition skills in regular play, as Judd does. (I am not saying Judd is intentionally showy! Someday soon there will be a kid who is a mix of Judd and Ronnie.
While yes Ronnie has the mkst world titles and no question, INCREDIBLE mastery of the sport, i do think Trump is a *very* close contender and may even be a better player, he just hasnt been in the game as long as O'Sullivan. Saying that, when Ronnie retires im sure Trump will take his place.
Of all the greatest potters in the history of the sport Trump is better than a prime Williams, Robertson and prime Hendry imho.For imagination Trump has only 2 true competors in prime Alex Higgins and Ronnie O'Sullivan who may be the greatest player of all but his long potting does be quite poor at times but outstanding when the form hits but imagination wise O'Sullivan is the closest to trump.Long potting there's been a few outstanding long potters of which i put Hendry at the top but not because he's a better long potter but i feel he was the best long potter under pressure I've seen.Either way i believe Trump is so good he could go on to challenge O'Sullivan for the greatest ever someday because i definitely think he will win more ranking tournaments i just hope he can win at least 10-15 Majors to get into the argument because he is such a special player
