Will (Toro part number 144-6377 traction assist handle kit) (for new Toro Time Master mowers) fit on new Toro AWD 21472 mower? Both have same mounting holes and shape.
G'day mate I searched up the part number you supplied, it should my only concern would be the dimensions length width which I haven't been able to find yet, a lot of toro part numbers do fit other mowers
My new awd Toro lacks traction so I pushed the 2 cables further down towards the motor with no better results. How does pushing the casing down with the cable inside the casing do any thing? What else can I do to help traction? ......many thanks good video!

So here is how to fix it. Up on the handlebar look for the personal drive cable. Loosen nut and gently pull that cable until it has tension and tighten it back up. Honestly I don't suggest awd mowers. Rear drive mowers have plenty of traction. As for Toros motors I truely hate them. They utilize a throw away engine not only that but torque they claim is not accurate aswell the compression is weak. You can have a crap load of torque on a mower but if you do not have rpm your mower will just beat the grass and not truely cut. You see vids all the time of owners complaining about decks getting plugged especially in wet grass as well as grass catchers not filling up.
Hey Smithie, What's your thoughts on the Toro a year later? I'm tempted to get the Honda HRN216VKUA1, but the Toro's all wheel drive would be really nice. I've used the Honda before and it got bogged at times, but it's nice and fast and I like to run behind the mower sometimes to get the job done quicker and get a bit of fitness in. Cheers
@@Blue-Lady The HRN216VKUA1 are a good mower but not without the issues, the blade brake model is substantially heavier which you do notice, if your in a wet environment all the time the clutch on the blade brake won't last long. The Toro AWD system is brilliant once you get use to how it works, the model after mine they've not changed much if anything, may I ask what your mowing size of yard ? Is it undulating? Muddy ?
@@smithiesoutdoorequipment It's a bit shakey, never muddy though if I can help it.. I always try to mow dry. I mow a lot of peoples lawns, but don't think I can afford a full on commercial mower. I'm hearing a lot of issues with Toro compared to Honda, so I think I'll try grab a Honda.
G'day mate from memory the drain bung is on the sump of the engine if you look underneath the mower you should see it, personally I use the mightyvac oil extraction system because of the amount of engine's I work on but if you wanted something cheaper and does a similar job google the briggs and stratton oil extraction system
G'day mate self propelled still going strong I mow my 1000 sq house yard every weekend and my mother-in-laws 800 sq yard every weekend so it gets a good work out been doing that for about 6 months now
Hey mate. Just used mine for the first time today. Must say I’m happy but noticed it was a bit jumpy and had a tappet ting sound when under power. Did yours do the same?
G'day mate yes it does make the occasional sound when under load, I actually re powered mine with the new honda GCV170 made a huge difference in performance I must say

Is there a drain plug for changer your oil? If not how is the oil change done?
I too believe in fresh oil to make product last!
Thanks.

@@smithiesoutdoorequipment thanks from central Florida. Loved your country played the Australian open tennis 3 years in the 80’s.
Straight handle is better with blue traction assist handle
how long does the self propelled last before it is broken

Onya Mate picked one up today
How do we raise the rpm is that safe to do ?
@@Shaynephie Hey mate yeah can increase the rpm to 3000 safely, do you you have tachometer to set it at?
Knowing it's sold and built by Toro, I would say it will last a very, very long time. My 2 Toros are over 30 years old and still run and cut like new.
