I have tons of memories of that place. I went there the other day and took some shots on my Polaroid. It’s as dead as a doornail if you don’t count Boscovs (still has the neon from the 90s too!)

Ranking these three malls from best to worst:
    1. Cherry Hill
    2. Moorestown
    3. Deptford
Moorestown may be dead with a just as many vacant stores as open ones but it's a much nicer looking mall to walk around, not as crowded, and it has a better lineup of sit down restaurants than Deptford. Moorestown has Yard House, Maplewood, and Firebirds, all of which are better places to eat than Deptford's lone sit down restaurant Red Robin. Deptford does have the best food court of the three by far. Cherry Hill is still better than the American Dream Mall up north.

Am surprised the malls aren't fully decorated with Holiday stuff by now. Perhaps in a week or so there will lots of X-Mas stuff everywhere. Sailing along ...

    A few thoughts:
    I loved that song!
I really miss seeing fountains in the malls. Oxford valley used to have several all throughout. And Neshaminy also had a fountain by Boscovs . Its cool that Moorestown still has them.
I think food courts suck! It was better when the food places were scattered around the mall and you could go in and eat. By having them around the mall it forced people to walk through the mall to get to the restaurant, thereby increasing mall traffic and more potential sales for the stores. Neshaminy mall had at one time , Friendlys, Café Riviera , Strawbridges restaurant, Roy Rodgers, and some other family restaurant next to Woolworths. It was fun walking through and deciding were to eat. Food courts had their time . They had the advantage that everyone you were with could get something different , But that novelty I feel has gone away.

Hey Philly Captain ... You're from Philadelphia ... Why can't you pronounce "Moorestown Mall"? Even RUclips's closed captaining translates it to "Morristown Mall" when you say it. If there ever was such a place, Morristown, New Jersey is about 100 miles north.
If you really want to see dead malls, too bad you missed Burlington Center. It was closed for about 10 years until they recently tore it down. Or how about Echelon Mall in Voorhees. Its so dead that, except for the one remaining Boscov's anchor, they now call it Voorhees Center and townhall moved in. There's a dead complete Strawbridge & Clothier store there. They're also building apartment townhouses in what used to be the parking lot.
Enclosed malls might have been cool when Cherry Hill Mall was the first one I ever saw 50+ years ago, but, since I moved to Cherry Hill about 45 years ago, I doubt if I've been there more than a dozen times.

Hey Captain! I used to hang at the Deptford Mall when I was a teenager. It’s like 5 mins or so from where I live. They changed it a lot in the early to mid 2000s. Not nearly the same to me now. I don’t go there much anymore.
