Alibi, Fuze, IQ, Jackal, Mute and Rook got nighthaven themed skins, based on the description seemed like a "hey you got cool toys can i play with them" kinda idea. and then in at least one battle pass we were getting nighthaven themed stuff too, and idk what all operators got stuff off the top of my head, but one i remember is echo so non-NH folks were getting stuff. i think that was multiple seasons, i figured everyone was just getting NH gear, but they probably didnt get through everyone I assume.
Kapkan should've been on GhostEyes, he's the definition of hiding in the shadows and letting his technology do the talking, at least in the lore, anyway. When someone says the word "Rat", Kapkan pops into mind, I'm sure he's next to it in the dictionary, too - so I'm disappointed but intrigued to learn more behind Ubisoft's reasoning for this squad assignment, especially considering the fact that RedHammer is supposed to be about brute force, yet Kapkan is about patience, precision and causing people to have to "watch where they step", so to speak. Anyone else realised this, or am I thinking too much into it?
i agree but i think their intention is more like kapkan has no regards for human lives, his gadget is brutal, injecting people with explosif nails is kinda too much, so they put him in the gunz blazing category
While Viperstrike is considered a flex / versatile/ support unit, there seems to be a heavy focus on technology skilled operators They also interestingly seem to have an almost defensive positioning focus, with good area control This kinda highlights the 4 Rainbow squads into the Medic-Recon-Engineer-Assault quaternity seen in a lot of class-based shooters
Lion is in Wolfguard because he is very humanitarian and wants to save lives, he's just better at accepting when there is no other option. With him and Doc to contrast each other, they can get any clean job done well
The moment I saw Wolfguard, I already knew Lion gonna be there. Lion lore pretty sad but one of the most heartwarming story. He become elite force and build that drone just for his son, so he can be the best father for him. No wonder his life mission is for humanitarian task
I'm so glad that they're finally building on siege's lore more consistently now. It feels like they're actually trying to make the storyline make sense and I kind of hope the White Masks make another appearance later on because it seems so silly to just outright get rid of them. I'm a really big fan of the (admittedly still small amount of) lore in r6 and I really appreciate the videos you make! Thanks so much for updating us and putting all the new info out there easily.
Same here, I think they’ve forgotten the threat the white masks posed after nighthaven became known to them so I imagine their dedication to stop might haven will give the white masks enough time to prepare a all out assault at major city’s or locations and they may even work (somewhat) with nighthaven but eventually betray them for their own personal gain
Your forgetting the first squad to ever exist in rainbow, the og’s that only consist of 5 or 10 members and that’s the recruit squad, they are so op that they were kicked out of the competition because they would wipe the floor in matters of seconds. In all seriousness though I wish recruit had lore something about them is intriguing.
The lore is a great touch to the game but I wish they’d do something with these 5 squads. The game feels stuck in its place and these squads could bring additional content to the series but I’m sure it’ll add nothing more than a few cosmetics

He’s even the one in charge of training new Rainbow operatives and he’s the most trusted. Right now he’s easily the most fit for the job.

Honestly, I feel like Zofia would fit more in Redhammer since her ability is to concuss enemies with her launcher. I don't really see the covert operation in her, but more of the push on-site while they are concussed. She could also be in Wolfguard since her equipment is safe in a hostage situation.
Still, I can't believe Zofia in Ghosteyes squad... Her gadget so destructive and her gun are versatile... Hopefully she move to Redhammer squad AND KAPKAN in Redhammer? He literally hiding in shadow... Both should be swap :D

But if it's an intel or a takedown scinareo Ghosteyes is on deck. And the scenarios are all random and procedurally generated
Brava is the new operator. She has a drone that can hack into electronic devices and steal them. For example, she can hack a Kapkan wall denial device and have it explode when a defender runs through the doorway. She needs to be within 10m of her drone and she needs to keep the beam on the device for 3 seconds
I think with Lion it wasn’t a matter of get the job done, but something like letting the people in the quarantine zone regardless of infected die rather than let it get out and kill more.

I thinki a good way to remove the need to use real-world special ops as all the base cause now rainbow can recruit new people into the sub-group and train to be the spacial ops. Also it allow new operator to come in from varied background that doesn't need to be they are the best special-ops soldier from some special ops team.

Considering the Rainbow Operators who have left the team to join Nighthaven, I'm surprised their in-game character bios haven't been updated to include this. What I also don't understand is why non-Red Hammer members got RH colourised armour sets as it would have made more sense to just release them for the squad members.
I beleive that lion is a humanitarian and was already characterised as one, the conflcit he had with doc was due to an operation in africa involving some desease, many doctors got sick, to stop the exposure Lion quarantined them which all but guaranteed their death, but kept many others safe, doc is the type to try to save everyone and had personal relations with some of the doctors that died, while lion tries to save as many people as possible but understands sometimes sacrifices have to be made to save as many as they can
So the statement on lion not minding collateral damage compared to doc is not likely. I pit it up to lions CBRN mindset of containing an outbreak before it spreads to the larger population, limiting casualties which is what he did. Docs medical humanitarian mindset has the double edge sword of wanting to save everyone but is willing to take unnecessary risk. Also doc lost a close friend due to lions decision. So I say lion is and always was a humanitarian like doc, but due to circumstances he had to make hard calls that follow him, and he was right.
