Christopher Arendt If you show no signs of disease that affects wrist, fingers, perhaps elbow you should be fine. If you are 45 and not taking lessons on the guitar or are a proficient player that may be a problem. Good luck. I'm 58 and have played 50 years. Give me a couple of weeks and I could be somewhat proficient at what he's playing. He wrote it, not me. It's not difficult and covered up with foot pedals. I'm sure if you had the time and the commitment you could make a fine guitarist.
+Raquel Perrier Ma,am with all due respect , Music soothes us and its far different from meditation . if you would really like to go in deep follow these 2 steps . 1) When you breathe in through your nose while your mouth is closed Say "Wahe" Pronounced as "Vahay" in your mind . whilst listening to it internally, focus on it . 2) when you breathe out Say "Guru" . Repeat this while breathing normally , don't speed up your breath . let it flow . if you are doing this bit fine . you will instantly find your mind being distracted by all sorts of thoughts . but you have to still focus on listening Wahe - Guru internally . After some time of practise you will find that you know longer have any sorts of distractions . after that your concentration will build up to a level where you would find yourself completely immersed these words . Have a good day ma,am . And if you wanna try it some time it will be tough but stay steady .
+Johnny Beastly, agreed. To me meditation is a state of the heart. Yes, words, sounds and positions may help us achieve that state, but those are just a means to an end. More and more we are learning, or should I say, remembering ;) how to sustain this state throughout our every thought, emotion, word, and action. Ah, the beauty of living!
