Douma was emotionless person but at same time he like to keep gentle manner towards humans until he become a demon, he is not pschopath but he was manupulate by his parents at past to hear the God voices when he was kid and he got so much mistreated by his own parents because Douma was force to be mature before his age for hearing his parent's cult follower everyday about adult problem (before his parents dead), no wonder when he grow up he never felt what the true feelings like normal people did
Douma was origin the good person that never killed and harm humans before he turn into demon by Muzan blood when he was 20 y.o as human
In the series, Douma is the only one person who was good person before demon than any other his comrades

This is masterpiece. Totally showing Douma's personality and inside darkness through sounds. I'm sort of 'sound person' so for me genuine representation of reality is the sound and this is most important thing for me. And this just epic. Bow to you, kind Sir!

I can see this playing during Shinobu's fight with Douma. She knows that she not going to win, but she is going to take him down with her. That is why she is going all out against him. It's not Muzan that she wants to destroy; it's killing Douma that is her life's mission. And she is going to make that happen; even if if costs her life. It's a fair trade in her mind.

It's fitting to his character because in his cult he is "helping" the people who visit him as well
His parents made him do that since his childhood, so him helping out Gyutaro and daki was the perfect introduction to his character!
