The one thing that Kevin had beat into my head before I succumbed to Prima Luna love was bandwidth of the power supply. What he says is the gospel truth.My old, tired LaScala Ones..yes, the old ones you saw on stage at every concert in the 70's..My 1978 LS-BR's no longer require subwooferication to 'make bass'. They now 'reproduce bass'. I kid you not. It's all about the bandwidth.

Has it ever broken or had to be shipped back?
To be perfectly candid, I've always thought it interesting how an audiophile will fret over the smallest thing in their rig, spend unbelievable amounts of cash on small sonic improvements only to listen to the worst music available. The tune at the end of this video is a perfect example.
You have a very biased and narrow view of what an "Audiophile" is. How many do you personally know? You don't know me, do not know how far I take the hobby, nor the type of music I listen to. A lot of us don't fret, don't buy into the snake oil, and listen to a wide variety of artists, including mainstream.

A matter of musical taste perhaps? However, I beg to differ with you on the choice of what you refer to as the "worst music". Not blowing smoke or calling you out. I would be hesitant that listening thru your computer or other devices would do this presentation any justice?? But the Female voice & the Grand Piano are the two of the best instruments to evaluate any piece of audio gear. Just my opinion Mr. Rich. And JFTR what type of music & or instruments would you have preferred? I'm encouraged that our dialogue is more about the music than the electronic gear. Agreed Mr. Kevin Deal may have some snake oil in his pocket too! But his "schtick" plays well? Wonder what Prima Lunas return policy is? Suppose I spend 3/4 grand for a piece of gear & it sucks. Or it breaks constantly? Am I screwed, which is exactly what Mr. Deal preaches against? Shipping a 50lb. piece of gear back & forth could get costly? Again just my opinion. Regards. Ps when you get to be an Old Geezer like me you no longer sweat the small stuff. So much hype, bullshit & crap meisters in the Hi-Fi & Stereo ranks these days I could puke. Julian Hirsch would roll over in his grave. But like most things in life if you last long enough you'll hopefully master the hype from the bullshit. Are theses the best amps in the world?
Subjective, but they are excellent, and offer incredible bang for the buck. I'm an owner, and have had several tube amps over the years. If you're into higher fidelity, I'd say an audition is warranted.
I believe for the money, they are a steal. Build and sound far far exceeds their price point.
