ACFI South India Summit 2024 : Inaugural Session

Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI) organized its South India Summit on 2nd February 2024 at Taj Bengaluru Airport. The theme of the Summit was ‘South India: Connecting Horizons.’
The event was graced by the Chief Guest Dr Shalini Rajneesh IAS, Additional Chief Secretary cum Development Commissioner, Government of Karnataka, along with Guests of Honour - Ms. Kajal Singh IRS - Principal Commissioner Customs ACC & Airport, Bengaluru, Mr. Bhaskar Anand Rao - Chief Financial Officer, Bangalore International Airport Ltd and Mr. Pradeep Panicker - Chief Executive Officer, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd. The key note address was given by Mr. Dhruv Lal, Partner - Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
The power packed event witnessed participation from over 150 industry delegates and leading media personnel as well as industry's decision makers.
The event revolved around three strategic Business Sessions which were orchestrated by senior names in the Air Cargo Industry like: Mr. Manish Agnihothri - CEO, Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), Ms. Reshma Zaheer - Chief Operating Officer, TT Logistics and Cargo Private Limited, and Mr. Satish Lakkaraju - Global Head Air Freight and Pharma, WIZ Freight.
A powerful fireside session conducted by ACFI President Mr. Yashpal Sharma & ACFI Vice President Mr. Sanjiv Edward was a key highlight of the event that focused on how South India is set to become the powerhouse for the growth of Indian Air Cargo Industry, connecting it to the globe and bringing the produce to the doors of consumers globally. It also focussed on how ACFI is set to pivot from being a facilitator to a ‘Business Developer’ role for Air Cargo.
