You're a few controllers, chains and motors away from a monster CNC there - pop a camera on it to watch remotely, a frame around it to keep out curious "creatures" (includes kids!) and you can walk away to do other tasks while it's flattening!
An absolutely innovative idea, mate 👍🏽 This is definitely a game changer as far as work efficiency, ease of access and being ergonomically positioned goes. 👌🏽 Cheers Andy.
Where did you find a 4 meters extrusion? The longest I found was 1.2 meters and its very expensive.. did you connect multiple together? If so how are they holding up a straight line?
Hi Andy nice video again thank you why don’t you post the information for the companies and the hotel maybe we can apply a little pressure to help you maybe get your money back
Hi Andy What a great video. I'm from Australia, new to your channel, and I have subscribed. If the router carriage is from TOT, where are your rails and fixings from. Do you have any links to where I can purchase them. Cheers.
Hey Andy, great video again, this is some job, it moves live butter man, that’s shit about not getting your money back.......I stocked up on timber myself but the phone has stopped ringing, I think I’ll upload a video on fire wood lol, great job again, take care man.....👍👍🇮🇪☘️
After seeing the Woodpecker router sled, but then seeing the price and shipping they want to freight to Australia, I’ve been looking for something that matches it. I reckon your product does just that (so excellent job), but before I pay to download your cut list I’d like to know: 1. The carriage for the router, is that something that’s readily available from extrusions etc., or are you selling that pre-built? 2. The angled brackets etc. that you’re using to bolt everything up to, are they commercially available, or do you get them custom built? Thanks in advance for your help. 👍
I am shocked that the exhibition centers would treat clients in such a poor way. After we come out on the other side of this crisis they will be wanting exhibitors to book for future shows and this could cost them further down the line with the amount of bad will. Great sled!
If you booked by credit card you should be able to get your money back due to goods not delivered. I am not certain due to the unique circumstances but it’s worth ringing the card company to check. Good luck.

@@ManorWood mount a hand planer in the sled and then plane the slab. I am guessing the finish would be much nicer and it might be much faster. But I don't know. All of you woodworkers seem to use routers. Maybe there is a reason.
No idea how you would mount and fine tune a plane , I move the router in all directions with no worry of grain direction . Maybe it would work I am not sure .
I have spent the last few months researching how to build an expandable sled and now I've found it. Thanks a million from the land down under.
What a great sled you’ve come up with Andy! 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Manor Wood think I’ll have to buy your cutting list and make one myself 😊
Andy I just wanted to thank you for your videos , as I sit here in New York City ,God bless Jim
Hi James , good to hear mate :) cheers
IF both the NEC/Hotel combo and the ExCel London don't pay anyone there money back, A BIG Boycott should go into place. OH great build
Fabulous bit of kit there. I think I think I have sled envy. 😜
Keep safe.
Lol :)
Fantastic video as always thanks for sharing and remember#stay safe and make. 🍺🍺👍👍👍👍
Thanks, you too!

Hi Andy
Can you recommend an aluminium extrusion supplier in the UK? Many thanks
Hello Andy how much would it be for exactly what you have there? Can you clamp any make of router on it? I need one of these
Do you have any information on the wheels and router tray that you used?
I sell them there should be an inquiry form for a quote if you’re in the UK sorry I can’t help if you’re overseas
Disregard question on previous post...lol...this video answers my question...
Hi Andy, How much would it cost to get exactly the same size of the router sled you have? Thx in advance
Not sure at the moment as everything has gone up plus new import tax.

awesome
How much finish sanding is required after the slab is flattened?
No simple answer my friend , but you can finish with a very slow small cut with the router to help with a fine router finish to save sanding time .
@@ManorWood Thank you

👍🏻
Why do they always use a router and not an electric hand-plainer?
not sure what you mean? do you mean use an electric hand planer or do you mean mount one in the sled system ?
