@@jeffpadgett8269 yes, it’s not until you really listen to the lyrics that you realise that it’s actually an erotic love song. Thanks for your comment 😊
Yep, I love it, the sound track to life for those of us of a certain age. Many people have never really listened to the lyrics, it’s a deeply erotic love song.
Beautiful guitar playing and singing there, Lee! And if I may say so, you are sporting an authentic Arlo Guthrie look here to boot! Keep up the great work! Thank you for sharing your talents with us! :)
@@leepryor123 You're welcome, Lee! And I also might add that Wasn't Born To Follow is one of my favorite songs by The Byrds. Carole King is one awesome composer!
@@munimathbypeterfelton6251 as far as I’m aware Carole wrote the music and the lyrics were written by Gerry Goffin....which kind of explains a lot as to me this is very much a love song written by a man and seems very much about the female form....in an trippy kind of way haha. Always loved it since seeing Easy Rider in ‘69 :-)
@@leepryor123 Ah yes, that's right; Goffin did write the lyrics. I remember reading that in the liner notes to The Notorious Byrd Brothers album on which Wasn't Born To Follow is featured. And I agree with your description of the song. Such articulate lyrics with the perfect melodies backing them up all the way through.
Thanks for the compliment. The acoustic is a Faith FV12TB - Venus 12 string. The electric is handmade in the Strat style and I’m afraid I don’t know much about it, sorry. My acoustic amp is an AER Compact 60e, i used it for both guitars. DI straight out of the back of the amp into Pro Tools DAW. :-)
She tells me all the things I'll lose that really have no value in the end she will surely know I wasn't born to follow. Beautiful cover.
