It's my favorite song. I've heard a lot of covers. At first I heard the inept guitar playing. But the voice made all the difference. The song is sung so sincerely that the imperfections in the guitar don't get in the way and become part of the artistic event. Like the playing of the old black bluesmen - as it is, from the heart. Thank you!
Inept is an improper description. This artist uses his thumb and forefinger and effectively arranges songs in a manner that captures all the changes/beauty within the arpeggios. And that arrangement enhances a soft vocal accompaniment in a delicate illustration of musical artistry.
@@leepryor123 Inept means having or showing no skill; clumsy. You are so far from that description. He knows nothing. That was a great rendition my friend.

“We skip the light fandango”, borrowed from Milton’s poem…a reference to effortless dancing. Your voice is angelic, capturing the pathos of this song. It seems nobody has really figured out what this song means except, like all great art, it has the quality of having always been. As if it fell from heaven. Gary Brooker is now gone and I think he should have this version of yours played at his funeral. I know I would like to have it at mine! Thanks man!
It actually evolved from Milton’s “to trip the light fantastic”, which might have been inspired on Shakespeare’s “tripping on his toe”. Fandango came around in a 1945 recording of the song “South America” which Procol Harum would borrow to make it “skip the light fandango”. It’s beautiful really.
@@mvara98 - If you haven’t already, check out Procol Harum’s “Whiter Shade Of Pale, Live In Denmark, 2006” performance. Brooker’s voice is sublime, richer, fuller than his original version as a young man. The full orchestra also lent a dynamic to the song which wasn’t there before, apparently an homage to Bach’s Air on G String (some say “no”). In my frantic, shallow youth, I did not have time for such music. Of course, now, I get it!
