@@forkless Having played it and Rock Band a fair amount myself, don't worry about any offense. It was a joke because trying to keep up with the harder songs is exactly like what you said. That said, have you seen the guy do it at 160% speed? It's pretty insane, and there's a video of Herman Li trying to do it with that video and he fails about halfway through. It's fun to watch and listen to Herman getting pissed about it.

Yeah, Angra has always been a big influence to DragonForce, especially to Herman Li and Sam Totman.
They should react to Make Believe or Angels Cry, both are great Angra's songs for starters.

Dragonforce is nonstop over-the-top fast catchy fun guitar riffs. Great reaction once again! It makes me happy to watch you both discover all these different metal bands and genres. Brings back fond memories of going through that journey myself. I'd love to see you do a reaction to this video, one of the best live performances/crowds and a very unique band: "Blind Guardian - The Bard's Song & Valhalla - Live at Wacken Open Air 2016" (It's actually two songs, but the combo of them is incredible)
Have been at two Dragonforce concerts 2005 & 2016. Highly recomended!

Hard to believe ( Besides them never playing it live ) Herman barely even remembered the song until he posted the reaction of it from twitch to RUclips . It was hilarious and weird to see one of the main guitarist to question one of their own songs like that lol .

So it appears melodic power metal is up your alley))) Dragonforce is more of a next-gen, but I suspect you'd really enjoy the likes of Stratovarius (e.g. Black Diamond), Helloween, Hammerfall, early Nightwish (e.g. Stargazers), Kamelot (e.g. Forever) are just some that come to mind right away. Hey Gabby! We reacted to Road of Resistance by Babymetal before! unfortunately , it was blocked by RUclips! IT was a great song that we loved to react to !
@@danasfaith5738 Herman Li and Sam Totman (the two DragonForce guitarists) wrote the guitar arrangements and played on the Babymetal album version. DragonForce also played Road of Resistance live with Babymetal at an awards show in 2015.
There is an excellent drum cover of Through the Fire and Flames by a Japanese girl called Junna on RUclips - she is really good fun if you want to see her and during the guitar solos she takes a drink in her video just as Sam Totman did in this.

If you guys enjoyed this then you should REALLY check out Operation Ground & Pound! The guitar solo is even Better on it! They Guitar Duel because in most groups use Rhythm & Lead they have Duel Leads. At times they are playing exactly same thing at exactly same time. Not easy with that playstyle.

I'm glad you appreciated the music. Every time I show this video to any of my female friends, they seem to completely ignore the intricacy and technicality of the music and just spend the next hour commenting on how nice the band's hair is, especially Herman and ZP. Not a single comment on "Wow, check out those guitar skills!" or "Those drums are amazing!". Pretty much just "Look at how shiny his hair is! I wonder what conditioner he uses!" and "How does he get his hair so perfectly wavy like that?"
They wasted all that time learning guitar. All they needed was the hair.

I always like seeing DragonForce reactions. I'm always loling. Very talented band with their own unique sound. Some say it's pop thrash. I can't say one way or the other. I am a Megadeth fan and I also like the guitar solos

I've been listening to Dragonforce for years, and still can't get over how intense and fast they play.
"Fury of the Storm" is another good one to react to.

This was one of the hardest songs to play on Guitar Hero.
Dragonforce is unique in that their guitars carry the lyrical power of the songs (the actual lyrics are superfluous, really). The guitarists that founded the band decided to use their guitars to mimic the BGMs of 16 bit video games from the '90s. The genre is European power metal, just slightly different from Unleash The Archers' North American power metal.
How do you expect like 14 year old kids to know what the fuck superflous means. I'm in my 20s and had to google that shit

If you listen to Babymetal Road of Resistance, you'll hear the DragonForce influence as it was co-wrote by them.
What an amazing song right? When i first saw this years ago, i was shocked for the guitar work.
The last really social gathering I went to in March before the world closed was go to a concert in San Francisco with Dragonforce and Unleash the Archers. It was epic.

Saw these guys live. Probably one of the funnest bands I've seen. Not the *best* (to be fair to them they're not really my scene), but they were a lot of fun. Great stage presence, good showmanship...I'd actually rather see them live than just listen to their music...
