THANKS for posting a highly interesting product video. For a couple of decades, I did a lot of chainsaw work, gathering fireplace wood and campfire wood. I used bow saws. Lately, I have been impressed with PORTABLE ELECTRIC POWER technology and tools. The power saws are quieter than the gas ones. Batteries are easier to carry into the bush than gas cans! For bushcraft, at my age, RESULTS count more than the 'purity' of ancestral technology. With the types of power packs on the market, vehicle campers can get out in the woods and 'go electric' for days.
You could recharge with a solar panel and battery pack as well, meaning you would have less need to leave for more gas
We have the Stihl electric saws in the SES here in NSW
had one in car for work on some land but i had use it when a branch fell onto road was very handy,
That is quite impressive for its size. 👍
This looks like a great tool, and the best mini electric chainsaw I've seen.
I do see, that for only a little more money - you can get Makita's smallest chainsaw. If you already have Makita tools and batteries, the Makita may be worth the few extra dollars. With a significant discount, I might get this anyway - as a handy tool.
I was going to mention the makita chainsaw with the top handle and break. We use it for cutting back overgrown hedges, and some tree work. Really impressed with how these tools work.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022 trailer was just released today. Great timing 😁 😋
😂 maybe ill get some extra clicks
Writing before I even watch this. Man, I needed a chuckle after reviewing current events worldwide and your title and snapshot did just that. Andy, you are a gem. Now, back to the show.
Ive been using a dewalt battery powered reciprocating saw for years. It packs down smaller than that chainsaw.
I use a Makita cordless reprocating saw, too - they are a fantastic tool, and can cut almost anything.
I use a pruning blade to cut branches, and a demolition blade to cut roots. Switch blades, and cut metal. Works great!
Seems like it’s upto the job, very handy AndyAlso not as bad on the environment. All the very best 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🏴🏴🏴
looks a handy bit of kit ,,good for most jobs sawing
With your "cherry popped" haha! Did not expect you to say that dude, looks good though. I'm on makita and I'm interested for roofing purposes.
Just picked one up for $70 on sale, thanks for the vid 🏕️🤌
What a wicked piece of kit
Thank you for the review. 👍
I have a twin battery Makita saw,as well as a stihl 023 and a ms661 for milling.Really rate battery saws ,love the fact you can just press a button and be able to make cuts in peace. When im in our woods coppicing,i feel a bit rude to ruin the tranquility with a petrol saw.Like the fact that you can operate this one with one hand, looks a handy bit of kit.
I've got a very similar one, and I took the guard off. I think they are great. Cheers
Oh no. It's the Crazy Kentish hacker.
That looks nice. I must admit chainsaws intimidate me but that one seems much more accessible for a power tool newbie. Thank you for the review.
Hi Andy, thanks for the video. Your getting to be like TOGR channel with these product reviews. Be well.
had something similar on my wish list for over a year now.. . Birthday treat me thinks... ATVB Andy. Scott Somerset
Interesting video Andy, I have the same Stihl chainsaw and absolutely love it. Cheers Pal !
That looked a lot better than the chainsaw I was sent out you got a lot of wood cut from one battery nice review Andy atvb jimmy 😎😎👍👍
Be handy for carving the Sunday roast that electric thing
Impressive. Most impressive. Usually these battery driven chain-saws aren't up to the challenge. But I suspect, that in lieu of all this climate change debacle, these batteries has finally become better and stronger. Which is good to see!
You can't beat a recip saw with a long blade. Pretty cheap too if you get the Makita.
For off-road vehicles as an easy way to cut through a tree that's fallen across a road? You could haul the tree or winch, but this might be helpful.
yeah, definitely another use, good thought!
£695.00 is very expensive
The M/s may be - meters ‘per second 👍🏻 the chain speed I like the. Chain guard idea different 👍🏻
Looks like a fab little chainsaw, just need to find an excuse to buy it now haha
You should link your video to the amazon listing
I may have to invest in one me thinks
What's the price on that kent? It's not showing on Amazon
Other downide - it doesnt come in "camo!"
:)
Looksp pretty decent.
Greetings Andy from across the pond. Are you still using this saw and if so how's it holding up?
Can’t find the prunarbo on Amazon. ? Is it being sold elsewhere ? Cheers
Interesting. I just checked and it is not available right now and not on Amazon UK either. I recently went with a Bosch Pro sabre saw, I only needed the smaller of the then two which they were offering. I have to say that if anyone is in a hurry and can not wait for the supply problems to resolve then they might find one of those could be a solution. I am surprised at the size of the lumber they can handle when teamed with a long blade 240mm (10 inch). There might be some things I might not be able to do with my one (not found anything yet), but I have honestly found myself surprised at how good they are as I learn to use it correctly, and there are things to learn; they are not what I would class as intuitive and I discovered them by accident in use. For example using the tip of the blade at a higher speed stops flexible blades from bowing too much - not what you might expect, but it was found to be the case. Anyway, not intending to take anything away from this one, but while it's not available then I offer this experience in the spirit of a helpful tip for those who have a pressing need. Good review, enjoyed it greatly. Be well Andy😊
It's available right now on Amazon in the US&A and Canada as Andy said in the video
@@stevemorris3710 That'll help then 😊 Good news indeed.🙂
This woodland your in, can people camp there?
Chain speed is meters per second, not milliseconds. M/S as opposed to ms.
Late to the party, has anyone seen a head to head with the Sthil battery saw
Good review and thanks. NoGo on the discount code :(
How's the saw notch hole in timber with the front edge... tool looks good just the user could do with experience;)
I did a plunge cut in chestnut, it was slow but controllable
Seriously if your trying at least fucking try..
@@kentsurvivalgearreview586 fare play... don't help video but yeah still I like your videos.. all best pal...
How much is the saw
👍👍
Invalid code. Andy can you help me with guidance?
Hi Andy, what type of oil did you used for the chain oil?
I have stihl chain oil
@@kentsurvivalgearreview586 thanks for the info 😊 enjoy watching your videos 😊
Andy... ask them to make the body in green, brown or camo and they're on to a winner!
Next week.....my leather mask and fun in Texas...rofl
My first impression of any and all of these was that they were laughable. (Color does not help!) But I've been assured, by chainsaw users, they are fine. I guess size does not matter! 👍😎🇨🇦📷
haha, yeah the colour is a bit off :p I was genuinely surprised though, i think it will be handy to have :)
Out of stock
Seeing you touch the chain with your finger on the trigger and battery on makes me cringe.
Get your finger away from the trigger when your handling the chain!!
Shouldn’t be going anywhere near the bar or chain when the battery’s connected. Let alone when your gripping the handle/trigger area.
No chain brake, top handle or any kick back protection and it’s available to buy by total novices! Not the best idea. Probably only available in the USA as it would need a chain brake to meet our regulations, maybe??
Good maybe if youre already knowledgeable about chainsaws but deadly in the hand of anyone else.
Awesome bit of kit well presented 👍😁
This woodland your in, can people camp there?
Rofl "room to swing a cat", "does size matter", your titles lately make me chuckle! 😆
Your Amazon link isn't working
A different color would be great lol but otherwise it looks awesome to use.
Great review, thank you.
Discount Code doesn't work, can that be fixed?
Looks great but currently unavailable on Amazon and I'm still clueless as to the price ?
Hello Sir, Some of these type chainsaws accept a Milwaukee battery. Do you know if this one does? Thank you for your time.
Do you own your own woodland as you don’t hide your activities or have permission if so how do you get permission as i can’t work out who the owner is of land so i find it hard👍
Thanks for this good review I'll get one
Thats a lovely little saw Andy. Ideal for the hot tent camper:)
its really surprised me mate, guess ill have to make a sheath or case now haha
Great video thank you!
Which ones were junk that you tested?
Looking at the thumbnail yes 👍👊
That saw seems to be pretty handy I would be more comfortable with that over a regular chainsaw.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome chainsaw nice and small I've used my mate for the garden it's a fantastic piece of kit for anything cheers Andy for a great video 👍
Would it be good enough to dismember a body? Asking for a friend.
ill give it a go in a follow up video ;)
Really fancied buying this, exactly what I need, contacted company to find out when will be available in UK and they haven't bothered replying
Nice review video Andy 👍. Milwaukee & Ridge, also have battery power chainsaws. FYI Stihl has a NEW chainsaw, that doesn't need a socket rench or screw driver . To replace the chain or the bar length, pretty cool. I also propher gasoline, don't have to worry about the battery life. You go out for a couple of days camping in the bush, if you don't have power supply. To recharge your batteries your Buggered. Just my thoughts. The up side of having a gasoline powered chainsaw, you can use a little bit of fuel to get that fire going.
I finally bought this little saw! On sale right now, at Amazon. 🙂
I was just thinking about getting an electric chainsaw and this video popped up! Good timing Andy 😁
Looks to work Great!…. Shame about the colour 😳
Very nice, thanks, Andy. 🙂👍
Can the chain be sharpened or do you feel it's a one-use chain?
So Diddy! I'd love one of them.
That looks like a toy.
Cool tool‼️👏🏼💙
Am I missing the discount code?
