America still has sun down towns. Some in the state that Nikki is the governor of. Research what a sun down town is then analyze her words.

Racist USA today In 2023 an estimated 6.3 million children under five died, 2.9 million of them in the WHO African Region. This is equivalent to five children under 5 years of age dying every minute. Two thirds of these deaths can be attributed to preventable causes. A third of all these deaths are in the neonatal period. 0:37

Why? I will tell you. Trump is a racist President. His voters will scream not every Trump voter is racist, which is true. But I can every Trump voter is willing to tolerate an openly racist President. It's not a deal breaker for them.

That crazy look in Haley's eyes is scary. The u.s. has never been a racist country? Even during slavery, Jim crow laws and segregation? There were laws specifically for black people. Racism was LEGAL and expected. Leaving slavery out as cause of slavery was not a mistake for her. This is an attack on the true horror that black people have gone through in American history. Haley's indian lineage being less than three generations in this country, and having benefited from the civil rights movement shows astounding arrogance on her part. She would never dare dismiss antisemitism and the holocaust as never really a problem.

Name one country in the world where there is no discrimination. I recently visited South Korea and saw signs at a bar: No entry for White, Brown, and Black people. There were signs like these in other places too. No entry for Indians, Arabs, Pakistanis, and Black People. I was offended. I Googled and found this discrimination has been going on for almost a decade.

Nikki is living in a different America than my friends. Her comment shows a lack of knowledge, insight and compassion for the millions of those who have experienced racism in the US. Just look at photos of the USO shows during the Second World War, the war in Vietnam, Korea etc. you don’t see one black face in the crowd. They all had to sit BEHIND the white soldiers even though they fought in the same war. She is uninformed and frankly, I think she knows it. There is no way her parents did not experience racism. Even her name is Americanized to hide her heritage.

Nikki Haley is correct. Empower every child with Hope, Not fear of racism; Stop destroying a child's life before it starts by telling them stories about racism every day at the dinner table.

No she’s not correct because the question wasn’t about empowering kids… she denied America’s racist past- that’s incorrect.

@@civildiscourse7626 Name one country in which around 1776 slavery was not legal. Slavery was widespread in Africa, Asia, and Europe. To blame our founders for having slaves and saying our roots are racist is due to the fact African Americans do not know the history of Africa. I am not justifying slavery. It was an evil practice but it was considered normal in those days.

@@wolfmangoland7972 actually it wasn’t because enslaving whites in America wasn’t allowed. the slavery in the USA was exclusive to blacks- it was race based and racist, you had people in power suggesting blacks are sub human in order to ease the consciousness of those who knew it was wrong and ti justify the subhuman treatment of blacks, the equality and rights of of Everyman was exempt for blacks. Saying America isn’t racist today is an acceptable point of view but Some conservatives are so anti wore they become asleep and deny the past. I’m glad most right wingers are giving her the thumbs down on this one.

@@chaplainsoffice6907 Slavery/bonded labor was prevalent in Aztecs, Mayans, and other native American tribes. Aztecs called it tlacotli. Rules for entering slavery were different than the "Western Slavery."
No one is justifying slavery in any culture, but it does not help our younger generation if people on social media and parents keep telling kids that our founders were racist. Our founders were not more racist than all societies during 1776 and before. Between the mid-1600s and early 1700s, African kings and Queens sold over 200,000 slaves (people who owed their kingdoms money or were criminals) to the Portuguese in exchange for money, arms, and other goods. These slaves were sold in Europe and elsewhere.
