Very cool video you keep adding more info all the time beautiful scenery glad your 4 legged bandit didn't get your food Hi Sara nice to see you in the video. So keep putting out these cool videos with all the info. Have fun enjoy the outdoors . Stay warm Sara.
They are hard to get during fair weather. You have better luck on weekdays, when it's raining or in the winter once it starts dropping below the 30's. Other than that they're hard to reserve.
I have the Lunar solo and the lunar duo explorer. The duo would be about the same weight as the hammak and lots of room. Enjoyed your vidio. Thanks for sharing.
Nice bluebells shot. For tastier food try packets of hot sauce or soy sauce or mustard which are light and add flavour. Found your channel from Alison and subscribed.
I’ve taken sauce packets before, definitely a good idea. My problem is I’m too rough with things and end up poking holes in them somehow and get sauce in my food bag lol
Nice video! We were going to go to Mohican this weekend but everything was booked up. Went to oil creek which has a lot of trails if you wanted another PA place to go too. Lots of history there with the oil industry which is cool.
I was just at Mohican this past Friday night, video coming this week. When I get there Friday about 1:30pm every site was full, had to go to my backup site 3.5, lol. Site 8 is the only site I haven't stayed at yet and been wanting to. All the sites there have their own unique benefits and struggles. Great video, thank you for sharing!!! -dave
@@veroniquediallo6055, I live in Minnesota and use it in true 3 seasons. I haven’t had any serious condensation issues with it at all. I love the light total weight of it. Also the multiple types of set-up is a really nice option that you can base on weather and bugs. I hope that helps. I really love it! 😎
I picked up a Lunar Solo a while back but never got a chance to use it. Still need to seam seal it... But, if I ever get back into backpacking/camping, I'll probably opt for a hammock. I'm getting too old to sleep on a pad in a tent. 😉
We got the seam seal package add-on when we ordered the Lunar Solo. They did a good job from a functionality standpoint, it doesn't let the rain in. From a visual perspective, they didn't exactly try to make the seam sealing look nice lol, there's sealant all over the place. I'm with you on the tent camping, I find hammocks WAY more comfortable. We did buy Sara a really nice sleeping pad, the Nemo Tensor. I haven't spent a night sleeping on it yet, but that will be in the near future, I have high hopes for it. Sara loves it. Thanks for watching!
I went to Mohican quite a bit the last two years. Probably did 6-7 trips there. It’s the only “backpacking” trail in Ohio that is closer than three hours from me. Can’t wait until they get them back up and running. At least there will finally be firewood at the campsites lol
Nice camp you two, looks like good quality gear tent camper here but I gotta try the hammock thing sometime. I like the mountain house meals lol but they are a little pricey. Happy Trails.
The tent is Sara's. I haven't used it yet, but here's what I know about it from her using it on four trips so far. It's super lightweight and packable. We got it seam sealed from Six Moon Designs and it is waterproof. She has experienced SOME condensation, but that is to be expected from a single walled tent. It is VERY well ventilated though, which helps. I'm going to do a couple of trips and sleep in it, condensation will probably be worse with me in it since I'm double Sara's bodyweight lol, so stay tuned for my full review. Thanks for watching!
Oops, forgot about the tarp. Everything with my hammock setup is from Warbonnet. The top quit is a custom Diamondback. The underquilt is a custom Wooki. Tarp is the mountainfly. Hammock is the Original Blackbird.

Sara says hi. Thanks for watching.
Always enjoy hiking at Mohican! Have never stayed at state forest backcountry sites but have stayed at state park sites.

@@Bacon_N_Backpacking Thanks for the information.
Thanks for sharing. As many times as I've stayed at 9 and 10, I've never actually seen site 8. It was nice to get a preeview.
#8 wasn’t my favorite but it’s not bad. Just be sure to hang your food because the raccoon that lives there isn’t shy lol
Good weekend for a hike for sure.

Checked out a few of your vids and am curious, what chest pack is that? Thanks man and happy trails!
Hill People Gear Original Kit Bag. They’re pricey but they make the best chest rig on the market IMO. Thanks for watching!
GIVE THE LADY YOUR SEAT.....CHEERS!
I share lol, thanks for tuning in.

Yeah Oil Creek is on the list of trips this year lol

Left you a sub, thanks for watching!
@@Bacon_N_Backpacking Thanks man, been a sub of yours since I found you. My nephew is a sub as well.
I love my Outdoor Vitals 1P Dominion tent ⛺️!!!!!!!!!! 😎
I’m gonna have to look that one up!
What type of climate(s) are you using the Dominion in? How is the ventilation and condensation? I've been looking at the Dominion and Tarptent. T

Glad you got out before the tornado hit . Backpacking sites are a mess now

Thanks for watching! I spent many years sleeping on the ground but ever since I made the switch, it’s the hammock life for me! lol
I need to figure out how set up that tent better lol
1 for 1 so far and it didn’t explode sooooo
Great video Travis. I'll have to get to Mohican someday.
It’s definitely worth checking out
thanks
Thanks for watching!
I'm sure it's been said, but every time you talk about your filter I just think of Monty Python! Great vids keep 'em coming!
Surprisingly, it’s the first comment of its kind on the channel lol. Thanks for watching!
Love your gear .How did the tent handle condensation ? The brand of the tarp?

How are you liking your hpg kitbag?
I’ve been using it for about six months now and I really like it. It’s comfortable under the pack straps and doesn’t get loose.
@@Bacon_N_Backpacking awesome! I have the heavy recon. I have only been on about 6 hikes with it but i love it. Serves its purpose well.
Hey, pretty Neature video
lol thanks dude
