Hello Paulee. I just wanted to thank you for incredibly moving tribute to Dominic Hawken ( aka Mr Wiggly) on today's Sonicstate podcast. I only heard about Dom's passing an hour ago when I watched the stream recording. I was unable to catch it live today. I am not ashamed to say that I cried, even though I didn't know Dom,having only ever watched him on his show, on Sonicstate and that epic performance at EMOM. Thanks again Paulee, take care.
I started my MIDI adventures with a Mac Plus and a Korg Poly-800; knowing just a bare minimum of what people did with Atari and Commodore systems, I'm looking forward to any videos you would do on vintage music software. I owned a K3m and K5m which I sold because I found them very limited, and did not have an adequate amount of time to deep dive. I've repurchased the K1r and K4r since purging my studio during the great Recession. As you explained on SonicTalk, they're very crunchy.
awesome once again paulee ,the hohner sounds an interesting piece of kit :) the nts-1 has just reconfirmed my thoughts that bang for buck it's probably the best all round tiny box out there ...sublime :)
@@magicalsynthadventure3216 yes, I recall--from the sonic talk episode that memorialized him just after hiss passing--your having lots to share about how supportive he was of you from day one. a true friend indeed. he seems to've been a deeply sweet spirit. & his music stellar!! we're all lucky to've had him here on earth.
I loved a mint Viscount. There was also a larger mint chocolate biscuit called Go! I believe. 80’s biscuit talk is fun. Do you remember Crawford’s iced shorties? Like a party ring but solid.
@@magicalsynthadventure3216 I do! And midget gems. George Orwell would have loved 80s biscuits. He wrote eloquently in praise of them in "In Defence of English Cooking". I can imagine him loving a chocolate hobnob.
I really enjoy it, although I wish, that the envelopes looped so short as to be audio rate (I think they top out somewhere near 30Hz) - I think I’d enjoy the K5000 as there’s an AM/Ringmod option :)
@@magicalsynthadventure3216 the super long halls are pretty strange and metallic, but in a way that I think is interesting in a musical way. I also like the gated settings quite a bit. It’s a preset machine, but I have a feeling there would be some creative mods out there for it.

Brilliant, baby, BRILL
Another gem, thanks! Yes please to more of that Hohner! And wow, the help me sample as impulse response trick was insane.
Great episode! Gotta get me an NTS-1. Would love to see more on the Hohner and the Kawai in future adventures.

Another awesome episode! That Korg KP1 was very haunting!
A M I G A is the best computer of the past 205 years and your channel rocks!
Very nice. I liked the "Help me" bit.
Another good video :D If you ever find a BOSS RV-70 cheap grab it. The reverse and Delay reverbs are huge fun!
Lovng the HT6000 clone action!!!
rest in peace, sweet wiggly.....
What an absolutely lovely guy. I managed to meet him and hang out 🖤

Ooooh, a Minty Viscount! I was watching Minder the other day on catchup, and they had a quite nice reverb effect at the end that made it a bit spooky.

Wow a K5m. Guess that´s a perfect synth for you !!

@@magicalsynthadventure3216 I guess K5000s are real beasts
Never really tried out audio rate like ENV loops on the TG77. is it possible ?
On the TG77 the Pitch and Filter envelope don’t go fast enough, but the amp does so you can do AM effects ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@magicalsynthadventure3216 got to dive a bit more into this... ;-)
What are your thoughts / feelings on the Alesis Microverb and Microverb 2?
I haven’t used a Microverb in over 20 years I wouldn’t mind trying one out again 😊

Rack synths are the best synths 🙂
Also a big Yes Please on more from the Hohner or anything in your studio, really.
