- In Germany, the Ruhr region is well known for its coal and steel industry. This model railroad layout is a detailed replica of that landscape in HO scale. It is a very large model railway layout with more than 100 trains. Famous buildings, large industrial plants and cities are presented in this miniature world.
55 dislikes? WTF this is a fantastic video! I always feel so relaxed watching this. And thank you!
Muito bonita.
erste sahne !
Absolutely wonderful video well planned and shot.
Absolutely wonderful video well planned and shot. I'm so tired of the hand held, jumpy, out of focus, panning so fast that nothing is seen, junk that I see on youtube these days. Photographers, look at this and learn.

Thank you, David!
Here here
Well i'd like to see an overview too of the layouts entirely.
Just like another video showing an old Trix layout, none of the video shots give any perspective to the full size of the layout. The close-up shots are nice but I'd love to see some shot at the beginning or end to pan over the entire layout to see how big it really is. :-)
What's the overall dimensions of this gorgeous layout?
Gorgeous layout! Despite being American, I have always loved German trains.
🌹😀😁👍👍👍👍👍
I really enjoy your videos. But after watching so many, I have but one complaint/criticism. You do not film any over view shots of the layouts. Lots of extreme close-ups, and moderate coverage of layout areas, but rarely any shots of the entire layout, or of larger sections so we can see what the whole thing looks like.
Investing in a small drone cam would be a very good idea for overview shots. You could get high/wide camera shots and full layout pans that would improve your presentations immensely.
Really? I must say I'm not surprised. DE has some very silly laws in that respect (just my opinion) Even here in the U.S I'm seeing burring of faces in YT videos, for the same reason.
Perhaps you could film a few layouts with overview shots, edit, blur ect etc and upload those as a test, see how your viewership likes them?
There's a face blur program called Filmora that works well, can blur in several ways, including moving facial ovals. and has an automated system so you can run through and blur quickly. I know you have many videos to edit, and this feature would save you much time.
Love your videos. You have a great talent the way you provide an immersion into these little worlds. Have you looked into filtering out the ambient people and exhibit hall noises (it’s almost like white noise)? Might help the sounds match the visuals to complete the fantasy for the viewers. Just a thought. Keep up the great work!
What you write is correct. But it's a lot of work to drown out the background noise.
It does not get better than this! People. who dislike this are not real artists with positive attitudes nor do they know anything about model railroads of this degree. I have been an American Flyer collector since 1956. The most realistic toy trains ever made. A.C. Gilbert did not set any limits on how perfect he wanted his factory layouts to be. The Perfection of this layout is the same_____Limitless! Any pro layout builder would know how fabulous your display is. The train action and all the other animated modeling is pure genius.
Amazing layout! Would be nice to have some info on what make the train set is.
This layout is great, as the rolling stock is too. But the signal box in 08:27 takes the cake :P Is this a fantasy of one of the builders or such an object existed... in real world? I can't tell. Auhagen or other company has made a signal box model consisted of walls with a Bi29 carbody on it - OK, but this one is just makeshift building at its finest :D
I did exist, right after ww2.
I'd love to make a full country layout :-) For France, it'd take about 13 km x 13 km :-/
Great idea :-)
Then just do it 🥴 !!!
@@robinred1851 Yep; as soon as I become rich ; perhaps when I inherit from my father's luxury car empire industry :-)
Of all the PILENTUM videos, I keep coming back to this one. It's just magnificent. Thanks for sharing such an amazing layout with us.
Are those Marklin trains?
Actually, your 30 second notice was only on the video for 2 seconds, because I turned off annotations.
Super waauw!! Nice scale of ho..;)
Very detailed layout, where it's possible to see it? who are the artists? How many square meters is the layout? So many questions for an absolutly fabulous work, very nice video :)
where's the weathering of the buildings? They all look stock, even if scratch built. The tracks look great, but that's the best part of this layout are the tracks, even the bridge at the start looks stock.
One of the rarest videos about EPOCHE IIIb-IVa Model Railway on RUclips
wow amazing
Whst happened to the power wires?
This is very over welming to see all these beautifull layouts of tracks an all the time it took to build a set of trains an tracks an theres no word for this but koodo's to all the great work you all put into this walkway of such beautifull creations
WHAT?! There's a figure of a woman who actually waves?! Amazing!
Attention please ! This layout is now in the Model Train Centre in Fürth Odenwald !
Konnte mich kaum satt sehen an dieser Anlage. Große Klasse!
Have you ever thought of putting a camera on the one of your trains?
Waanzinnig.
It's auf nice video, but it is steal!!!!!!!!!!!
And that isn't nice!!!!!!
very good
Hello! Do You have videos about Railroad layouts for training station duty officers ?
Sorry, I don't have such videos.
I’d love to move coal hoppers across this layout
nice layout
Prefiero Miniatur Wunderland.
Saludos !!!
Eine sehr beeindruckende Anlage!!!!
incredible!!! AWESOME!!!!
Amazing layout !!!
Very good and interesting films. But in general it would be very helpful if you state already in the short description, what layout it is and where it is located.
Thank you.
Nice details!
My Japanese is pretty poor as you can see, however I think it would be great to see a model of Tagawa and Yahata condensed into a layout from the same era - I guess about 1959, (昭和34年)
c bo
Mm
Is it possible to visit the real location?
PILENTUM I would need more than that. Full address, if there is any entrance costs and need to schedule in advance.
Excelent
Amazing
fantastické
_Alright._
_I'm pretty sure this has been asked countless times over the months, years even..._
_But I must know where that opening theme to your videos is from._
_Its quite..."captivating" in a way..._
+Kevin Darksided
The so-called opening theme was played with my Roland EXR-7s keyboard by myself.
_Oh-_
_Well it has certainly caught my attention, and perhaps many others as well._
_I'd listen to it all day if I could-_
_Nice work._
nice camera work and cool industrial layout.
