West, by the way, was a prima donna, which is why Robin seems useless on this show even though Silver Age Robin was an expert chemist and cryptographer, fluent in several languages. (In the comics, this became a thing where he can't turn it off. The Teen Titans banned him from playing Clue or watching any mysteries.)
I loved this classic series, (as so many others did and still do) especially loved Romero:s Joker, Meridith's change smoking Penguin, and Gorshin's Riddler, I even enjoyed Eartha Kitts portrayal of Catwoman, I enjoyed series 3 as much as 1 and 2, my favorite stories from series 3 are Jokers UFO story and the Catwoman/Joker story with Mr and Mrs Keeper ''i'd better go and vacuum the upstairs bedroom!'' My husband has fond memories of the series as his grand mother was personal friends with Cesar Romero. Imagine TV portraying a chain smoking Penguin today, the so called do gooders and the PC brigade would have a fit with their leg up showing yesterday's washing!

I know it made for an interesting story line (to have Alfred know both identities and not tell), but I always thought that Alfred should have got Bruce, Dick, and Barbara together and revealed who everyone was. It would have made for some interesting interactions as civilians.

Yvonne Craig 's Batgirl was an inspiration for me. As a child I didn't see the phony fight moves ( those are ballet kicks! But truth be told, Adam West fight style was not much better) All I saw was a powerful woman, toe to toe with Batman and Robin. It gave me hope that I could be whatever I wanted to be.
Probably because nowadays people believe that women are omnipotent/ Omni intelligent or should be omnipotent / Omni intelligent when it comes to the comics / TV shows based on them. But back then this thing was filmed they actually still cared about writing and some reason why it may be cheesy but they were still a cohesive narrative and characters weren't Mary Sue's and Gary Sue's and could actually act like humans.

Yvonne Craig=one of the best "waist down" you will ever see (and only 5'2). Julie Newmar owned this category, lowering that belt on those hips did us young males all in. Waist up (Yvonne) was nice too, that black one piece bathing suit (with the killer V net action) she wore at Gotham Point is still burned in my memory bank, man how I had wished for that black bow to fall the fuck off as a kid.

I really liked this compilation! For some of the earlier comments, Catwoman was portrayed by the late Eartha Kitt, who was MUCH better than Halle Berry. I really liked Yvonne Craig as BG, although I do think more time should have been devoted to better scripts rather than merely introducing a character because it threw off the Batman and Robin chenistry. Robin became dumber and I didn't like that.

Great little time capsule of a good show. It was 1966 and a campy TV show was in. Batman was often imitated but the other shows were no competition. Adding Batgirl in season 3 was a great move.

She was the best part in the show imo.
Except those on screen. Other than that...she was...well, still pretty weak.
