Bea...you seem to me a maker who would be all about art journal pages. I don't know...just something about you that makes me feel that way. Thank you for your kind words. Have a lovely day.
Hahaha ... not a maven for sure. I struggle with feasibility of putting anything outside of pockets, but you've shown with your methods that it definitely can be done beautifully and securely. I'm embarking on pocket page memory book for my mom, who passed away. Been struggling to find a worthy and beautiful theme for it. Your vids introduced me to gorgeous 49 and Market, which I'll use throughout, and your outside page protector ideas will be so nice to incorporate. Thank you so much for sharing! @@JamiePate
Jamie, so lovely. Thanks for sharing. I have been working with my 9x12 albums so much that I almost purchased pocket pages-but then I remembered my old hoard of 12x12 pocket pages-many can be cut down to use. Size not exact-but who cares about exact we’re all here for the fun thanks again for sharing.
We are here for the fun and for the making. And cheers to you for making use of the 12x12 pockets. That is fantastic. Can't let anything stop the making, even if we don't have the 'perfect' pocket. Thank you, Nancy!!!
Jamie, I really love how all of your pages/albums/spreads feel very simple and fresh! It makes crafting feel more attainable for me (someone who has very little craft time) - it doesn’t always have to be super complicated! Another inspiring video!
I'm thankful to hear that, Kayla. It's true. It does not have to be complicated. Love for sure the play aspect of these pages. But the stories is what will hold our hearts forever. Hope you can find more time for making. Have a lovely weekend.
Beautiful as always - I been making “little makes” following your embellishment cluster series and I’m having a wonderful time - building my confidence for sure - TFS 🤗
You have no idea how much I love that. Or, maybe you do! So glad to hear you are having a wonderful time at it. Thank you for stopping in and letting me know that. Have a wonderful and perhaps making weekend.
This was great Jamie! What a lovely page. Awesome idea for the ephemera catalogue! Sometimes there is so much ephemera, it is hard to keep it straight. Thanks for sharing!
@@JamiePate Ha! Guilty as charged. 😳 Actually, you would be proud. I have been using my Plum Grove rub-ons and some of the butterflies from the Nature Study Wings are now flying around on vellum. I do get a bit stumped with the splotches and the print that is in black. (I need to go back and watch how you have used them.) But the florals…🥰
So beautiful!! Love the ink/distress/rub ons you added to this spread!! Perfect! Such a beautiful album you are making for October. I’m wondering if you might explain the GORGEOUS frame embellishment you showed us on the hike you took w/your son. Is the frame an embellishment? I love the idea of researching a place we might visit to add to the journaling. I’m watching a bit of Ali E to help me with my writing and she discusses fact/feeling writing. This fits perfectly! Thanks again for more great ideas! Happy weekend!❤️🎃
That Fact + Feelings series is fantastic!!! One of the best she has ever done, in my opinion. Have enjoyed employing those ideas to all of my writing. The frame is just ephemera from Nature Study by 49 and Market. The more I look at it the more I love it...lol. I think on the feelings side of the history, I am so touched by the generosity of the man who founded this city. Everywhere I go I just discover more about him. And how much he has touched my life with his abundance mindset even 100+ years later.
Love the idea of adding rub ons to vellum. Takes away the onus of making a mistake too. :) Is there a video where you describe the ephemera catalog? Love that concept as well.
I agree about the rub ons and vellum. Then you can simply put them anywhere and still behold the beauty. I have had several comments about the ephemera catalog. There will be a video about that. Thank you.
Hi! I love your subtle, easy style! I’ve just spent some time going through some of your older videos trying to find where you talked about your “Embellishment Album” that I think is a fantastic idea. I currently use (several) of the 4x6 photo organizers (16 per handled container) which is nice and convenient especially with the volume of ephemera from 49 and Market but concise without a lot of room to rummage. Have you done a video about it that I didn’t see? Would you be so kind as to share a link? Thank you for sharing your creativity and inspiration. Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂
Hello! Sue, are you new to the channel! Thank you for your comment. I mention that book in this video here: ruclips.net/video/zvRqWuajMTo/видео.html at about 2:57. I don't talk about it too terribly much. But that is what my brain is referring to. I am thinking I need to do a video that talks more specifically about my thinking behind this ephemera catalog. What say you? Thank you for watching!
This is beautiful, as always. Just wondering though, you mentioned an embellishment catalog (I think that’s what you called it). Is there a tutorial on that or a video that walks through the catalog? Sounds like a great idea.
Thank you so much! There is another video where I chat about that ephemera catalog for a moment (I believe it is this one: ruclips.net/video/zvRqWuajMTo/видео.html). But it would seem I need to share that in a bit more depth. There have been a lot of comments on that idea. So thank you for asking.
It's so funny...I am getting several comments about this..and I thought for sure I had already shared this in a work space video. I'm a gonna have to do one that is just for this little o' catalog. Thank you for the request, Barbara.
Did you attach that to the out side of the 6x8 pocket page? Did you use the inside of the pocket page for a photo or journaling? Just wondering if you used it to hide part of your layout.
Hey, Sandra! Yes. That is attached to the outside of a 6x8 pocket. I do not usually use the inside of the page for anything. But, I really like your idea for hidden journaling. My mind sort of took off with those thoughts for a minute. Hmmm.... So thanks for that! Not hiding anything behind for the most part. Just like to use these pages as foundations for holding outside of the pocket makes. Thank you so very much for watching. Have a great day!
Not yet! But that is a much asked about little book. I thought I had shared that idea in this video: ruclips.net/video/zvRqWuajMTo/видео.html. But do I need to give more detail? Be on the look out for that. Are you a subscriber?
I say YES for this layout! It is so so beautiful ...love the combo and the sweetness of the entire page.FAN!Bea

I am so loving that you're incorporating your stunning work into pocket pages.
Are you a pocket page storytelling maven?

You know I was talking to you about the rub on hoarding, right? LOL 😜😂😂 Have you not seen the holder for the ephemera before?

As always this is beautiful. I can get with these colors. Thanks for sharing with us.
Yeah...it's a bit of a sway away from all the fall. But that's what was in our view. So. Went with it. Thank you, Gail!
This is so beautiful Jamie!
Thank you, Jessica. Have loved this book and it's making me kinda sad October is all but over.

Adore this!! ❤
Thank you sweet friend.❤
LOVE! I NEED to get some of those amazing rubons!
Yes. Basically. You do. I could not love them more! But maybe that was figured out already.
Love this sweet, soft layout. Did you mostly use Nature Study? Thanks for sharing!
Yes. This is mostly all Nature Study. It's the collection that keeps on giving.

Thanks so much! Do you do much art journaling?
Wow, your ephemera catalog- please tell us all about that!!

Yes, please do, or send out link to one you have already made. I want to know how you temporarily stick the pieces to a page.
