I learned the same way you showed in the video but we have a 10u "B" level team and the girls are not quite consistent on the flip to 2nd. Would you recommend going directly into the right foot swipe or have them perfect the back corner (for their safety on a slide) first?
For your younger girls, I would have them get to the back corner and keep their right foot on the corner while they catch. Don't worry about the swipe now, as it may be too much for them. If you can focus on where to get them to the bag, that's half the battle.
