Lucas really likes Yuqi and definitely consider her as his close buddy. It just shows in his body language. However from Yuqi's side it doesn't seem the level is same. Tho she does see him as friend but not that close and I guess she also doesn't want to get too friendly with him bcs of hate and rumors. In this season they had lot less interaction and mostly it was Yuqi who was avoiding particularly on on-screen. I feel bit dissatisfied as their team up was so entertaining to watch just like Jackson and Lucas.
Nooo, but in that episode the members were playing a game and Lucas was one of the “people to be suspect or considered the bad person” So that’s why yuqi was avoiding him and wasn’t with him most of the time. To be honest I understand where you are coming from but I would like to mention In that episode Lucas went to I guess you can say the “girls dorms” to help carry stuff then the other girls asked who Lucas was, Yuqi said “this is my best buddy Lucas” (Im Chinese btw so I can understand what they were saying)
I love their friendship so much but it's a fact that between male-female friendships, women must always be cautious because of the hate they may get from jealous stans. And it's honestly so sad. You can see that Yuqi has become a bit distant compared to the previous season.
