Our AP scores are coming out tomorrow. Thank you so much for making all these videos, I watched them all the time to help me with the Euro test. I'm taking AP Government and Politics and AP World History this year and I can't wait to use learn more from your channel. Thanks again!
Thanks for the kind words, Kelly! I'll be teaching AP Government this year and will be making some videos that are directly for that or indirectly relevant (I made this particular video with a US History audience in mind but it will help AP Gov students, as well). I also plan to make more videos about ancient history, although Greece and Rome only get minimal coverage on the AP World exam, they certainly cannot hurt!
Thank you very much Mr.Tom. I'm a university student of master 2 English and American literature and civilization, your videos really helped me during my cursus, a dedication will be given to you in my dissertation.
AP test scores come out for me on Saturday! Can't wait to see my ap Euro result. I'm taking APUSH this coming year, getting a head start on the course with your site and videos, so keep it up!
Thanks for the comment, Peter! I hope you (and I) get good news in a few days when the scores are released. Thanks for continuing to support my videos. I plan to make several more APUSH videos in hopes of continuing to keep last year's AP Euro audience engaged - glad it's appreciated!
University US History and Gov teacher here- To answer your question: Income taxes were a way to regulate uncontrollable wealth of the robber barons in the gilded age. They passed 90% tax rates on the richest Americans to hamstring their control of the senate and presidency and force them to contribute to public works projects. Income tax was a cannon aimed directly at the rich. Since then it has been manipulated and turned on the middle class.
Tom, you do a good job on your explanations, but your refusal to explain the left's rationale behind things like the 16th amendment means I can't recommend these as good lectures.
Keep up the gooooooooooood work Richey. Mr. Teacher likes you too Richey. Please like Richey. P.S. will you marry me, Richey? P.P.S. I like your accent Richey
