A 40 yr carpenter tells you, WHAT NO LATERAL BRACING FIRST FLOOR. AND THE DECK KICKED BACK DECK POST, NO BIRD BLOCKS. There's better out ther that's why it's there. If value is in land then take it. There's more structual issues for sure. That siding will never look good, You cover it it will be a bug farm. Sorry if its seen on a screen it's worse up and front. Do your numbers. Never Ever fall in love with property it can't love you, only cost's you, if you failed.

@@thomaspepper2201 Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! * 40 yr carpenter doesn’t determine or dictate what others like or dislike, period! That siding “that will never look good” is worth a couple thousand dollars all day long FYI but completely irrelevant or something you should be giving your opinion about. I would think you’d know how to stay in your own lane after 40 years and last I checked carpenter’s aren’t realtors, appraisers, interior designers, financial advisors, engineers or reading what’s trending for 2024… but I could be wrong 🤷🏻‍♂️

The water aquifer is at about 3500 feet down, YEP well depths in Williams, AZ is very deep. Be prepared to truck in water or do rain collection and subsequent filtering and treatment to make it potable.

Hey y'all. I admire your spirit. I did this for twenty years. Get a good tractor with equipment. Be prepared to be stuck for days. The reason the house is raised is twofold. One is mud flow, the other is critters. Good thing is that with the tractor you can move all the mud from around the house and use it to try and fix the road. Some years are easy, some are insane. I ended up with 2 tractors and a Bobcat. I gave it up two years ago and moved back to Las Cruces. Good luck.

Please check the area before you close. There are some toxic mining sites that have not been disclosed to buyers. There are several lawsuits by people that bought land that is contaminated and unsafe to live on.

I’m a builder myself, I hate to say it guys but there’s a lot of lumber in that structure that just has been out in the elements too long unless it’s super affordable I mean super affordable. I think it’d be a hard pass. I understand what you’re trying to do but man there’s a lot more work and money involved in that than meet the guy. Good luck in your search!

@OffTheBeatenPathAndrewAshley Yeah. did you watch a movie / TV series about skull X ( goat X / bull x )? OR did you ask an old man or an old homeless man?
Few people know because they were born in a Village town. Not City.
You can ask An Old man or an Old homeless man about Skull X. You be careful.
Many mysteries who live in Village Town, Arizona and Yellowstone.
When you buy an off-grid homestead house or build a house, you must build the fence wall ( Brick or Concrete looks like a castle ) and you also build the underground bunker if you want. because of a twister ( storm ) and many mysteries.
      Be safe. Respect you.

That house needs a lot of work. Very small windows, does it have insulation ?
    Looks like a money pit.
So you'll need a 2500 gallon water tank. You can have water delivered. Plus a trailer for a 350 gallon tank so you can pick up your own water. Generator to run the water. Solar is a given in northern AZ. Beware cold winters at night and hot summers.
I'm buying land in northern AZ as soon as my house sells. Can't wait. I've been researching everything, you'll need a wood burning stove or pellet stove and definitely air conditioning.
    Septic system.

Better sheet that basement with 3/4 plywood before it collapses, I am sure the prior owner ran out of money, and time, it's a forever job, that is why the Navajo built sweat lodges and teepee's so when the weather got bad they would just roll up and go, you can't bring downtown to country like this, it's a waste of time. 😊
