I love how so much can be said about the intricacies of Natalie's arc here without even mentioning the next vote where she executes one of the single greatest idol plays of all time against Baylor, not only getting rid of another Jeremy voter but also inadvertently eliminating the last remaining player who had voted out her sister in Episode 1.
And even seeming to redeem herself in Jon’s eyes. At least his reaction from the jury box seemed appreciative. If Jaclyn wasn’t a finalist I’m sure Jon would have voted for Natalie.
@@aperson22222 Pretty much - From what I've heard about the season, the jury was pretty much all in agreement going into FTC that Natalie played the best game and deserved to win. There was basically nothing Jaclyn or Missy could've done or said to take it. The only reason she wasn't a unanimous winner was because of loved ones and Reed deciding to be petty to Missy specifically because he knew Natalie was gonna win so he didn't need to vote for her lol
Austin and that sandwich really are the greatest pair of destiny torn lovers never to reunite due to the forces of evil we've seen yet. Also "where is that snake motherfucker John" is one of my all time favorite lines from Survivor that I feel doesn't get its due! Sandra's pure venom and delivery and the chaos that is to follow is just so iconic. Love the queen for that.
Sandra's the queen of getting her revenge moments, because she ultimately managed to outplay Russell where it counted the most as revenge for his voting out Rob, Tyson, and Courtney, and then in Game Changers, she gets JT out as revenge for the Malcolm vote, and flash forward to WaW with her being one of the leaders in the Amber vote all because Rob didn't tell her he was also playing that season
I like how in the episode when someone was asking if she was the one to throw their fish out she covered up that she was by GETTING ANGRIER AND YELLING HARDER
I loved what you said in Natalie’s segment, “Her twin sister, whatever, but a new pall she met two weeks ago, Nuh-uh.” That was soo true! Edit: OMG IM THE TOP COMMENT!

Then she comes into Survivor and plays one of my alltime favourite winning games and becones one of my favourite winners. Amazing how things change! Haha
yessssss my personal favorite winning game of all time, and one of the things i found most impressive about it was seeing Natalie go from someone loud and abrasive who says (yells?) whatever she’s thinking, to someone who carefully navigates the big egos and misplaced trust of the other players without ever giving her own game away, SUCH impressive character development ❤
I DESPISED THEM ON AMAZING RACE and was so upset when I saw the cast list but this season made me love Natalie. Maybe not having to hear TWINNNY all the time helped.

I had two picks I wanted to see here. Natalie in SJDS and I love that it’s number 1… but I reallly expected to see Tyson in BvW. I’ve loved watching Nadiya and Natalie back when they were on “Amazing Race”. Watching Nadiya leave first was sad, but watching Natalie thrive and win was great. If only Wentworth made to the merge, I would have wanted to see if she would be an ally or enemy to Natalie and Jeremy.
I’d argue that Jerri’s arc on Colby makes the list, if not number one. Not only did she note vote for him to win, essentially costing him a million dollars, her arc spanned two seasons as she voted him out in All-Stars. Chris didn’t necessarily seek out revenge as much as it was pure and simple self preservation. He just made a note to mention his allies that he lost and that we lied and backstabbed. It’d be the same as if Troyzan ran the table in One World, he just didn’t care as as much or wasn’t as close to the other men as Chris was.
Fair enough on Jerri! I usually try to branch out and include players from multiple eras of Survivor in videos, and they ultimately ended up reconciled in their third season, which is why I didn't include her. If I do a second part, I'll be sure to talk about Jerri's revenge for sure
When I think of revenge in survivor I automatically think of Sandra Diaz Twine, the queen, in Pearl islands. When she swore on her 2 kids she would screw both John and Burton 🤣
Lil is one of my favorites Survivors. She is this poor naive woman that gets voted out quickly. Then when she returns she is like a different person blindsiding everyone. It's like she returned as a zombie. She is also a big reason Sandra won
Courtney vs Jean Robert was a great revenge arc. Both of them for half the game were desperately trying to vote one another out. Courtney enjoyed the night she managed to finally get the better of him, and in the end Courtney lost by one vote... Jean Robert's!
I really have to agree with Austin, those amulets effectively are a curse. Unless you decide right then and there to be a strong alliance going into the merge this is just a curse and puts a target on your back. For a better idol until it becomes an immunity idol. They will absolutely take you out for it. Even as an alliance they might consider doing it if it means they can squeek out an extra tribal after. And it was quite satifying to see him outlive them all, for a sandwich.
I really hope producers were egging Austin to whine about those sandwiches for the sake of entertaining TV. I really hope he's not THAT petty to actually base his voting strategy on a sandwich
He's making a joke. How do you not understand that? He didn't want to work with Kellie or J, so the minute they picked the amulets he decided he would get them out. The sandwich thing is just something he's saying to be funny.
In a strange way Chris's strategy worked for several reasons. One was cause of his lying, bullshitting and exploiting the cracks of the aliances he made the woman hate eachother going out the door. So in a way he did some jury management. Their goal was for a woman to win and ended becoming so angry with the last one standing that they decided to vote for the guy who blew it all up. His quest for revenge actually ended spawning revenge quests among the woman to spitefully, or begrudgingly allow him to win. In a time where there were no idols and tricks he managed to bullshit a bunch of woman who had made it their sole goal to be the last ones standing and pulled it off. All because he got mad and changed his attitude to bitter revenge. Sadly Chris never came back, I think it's cause he and Jeff didn't get along or something.
I do think that Chris (from Vanuatu) is a grossly underrated player. He was down 6-1 in a game with no hidden immunity idols and still pulled off the win without going full challenge beast. It's one of Survivor's strategic gems.
