I still use mine. I have the 2, 3 , and 6 cell versions along with the aa and aaa versions. Maglite is good with warranties and repairs, too. Switch failures are the only issues I've encountered. The rubber cap wears out.
@@KoonTrucking the stream light stinger has a great ambient light that doesn’t hurt your eyes and super bright it lets you focus on the job compared to bright blue which distracts
If you use plenty of light when you are young you won't wear your eyes out. It reminds me of all of the guys that always say, "I wish I'd have used knee pads. My knees are shot."😢
A couple guys at work got these off the ole corn hole truck. Seems to be a decent light. Plastic case but does the job. I have the aluminum case snappy. The maxxeon seems to out last my snappy at roughly half the cost.
Have had a cyclops for a while, picked up a Scout from my Cornwell guy. Then the lousy guy showed me the blade light and daggumit I am gonna have to buy one of them too.
The stick light looks exactly like the Icon light I bought at harbor freight. USB C rechargeable and excellent magnetic base, and all three lights like the one presented. It is bigger than his light though.
How is that ICON light holding up? I have looked at it while visiting HF and it seems okay. I am skittish about the Braun lights anymore. I purchased the older underhood light five years ago, I keep it plugged in as an overhead light in my shed now. It ain’t worth anything more than that. I bought the new Braun octagon light three months ago. It seemed okay; the light ie bright and it has a good magnetic base like the orange one Mr. Clay showed, but the light gets powerful warm fast, the battery seems to drain too fast and takes a while to recharge. I reckon if I buy another light at HF I will need to upgrade to the ICON.
I got 2 of the cyclops and they work pretty awesome. The Luma stick looks exactly like harbor freights smaller icon stick flashlight. Probably same manufacture ?
Exactly what I was thinking and I have the next led brand new version of the Braun light like it and I am pretty sure that next led is the manufacturer of the Braun light
I ain’t worried about breaking it, I just get tired of leaving it on the frame rail of a truck. Thankfully I work for a fleet and most of the come back the next day!
I have the pen light from snap-on and I love it. It's the same as that slim bar light you showed. The only problem I have with it is that I've lost it about 3 times now lol. Luckily I've been able to get it back all those times. Glad to know if I do ever part with it there is a cheaper option.
I'll give one of these a shot. I honestly don't care too much about the brightness because most of them provide enough. My problem is the color is the light the LEDs give off, the cheap ones cause my eyes to see colored wires as muddy color tones. High CRI LED on stick lights and blade styles are hard to find.
With work lights, a blink is sufficient for me to tell me battery is low. I put my lights on charge between jobs or any time i have to walk away from job for any length of time(happens more often then we like), result, i am never in the dark, nor do i need a battery level indicator, either light blinks, battery deplets or battery level says almost zero, you still have to stop and charge. I am a flashaholic and always have light and batteries.
I've dropped my maxxeon cyclops so many times the plastic cracked but it still works great, however their pen lights suck. Mine went out 2 times before it finally died out of warranty.
I wonder if Unilite makes that folding light for them. I have the IL-925R which looks pretty much the same. It's mostly metal and has battery indicator lights on the side. It has 925 lumens on the bigger LED. It's a great light. I didn't need it as I have both both styles of the Astro blade lights. Someone pointed out that these can fit in your pocket so it made sense to me as to why I bought it.
The tool videos are nice, but more "how to videos" would be awesome too. I have been searching for one on replacing the air compressor on an MX 13 and so far none exist. Your how to videos are the best!! Please make some new ones. Thanks in advance.
I would love a version of the cyclops that uses replaceable batteries. Would be perfect for throwing in the truck for emergencies. They are very handy lights. I also have the Astro version of the lumastik. I love it.
Maxxeon Scout is a confirmed awesome light. Keep one on my side at all times diving through control panels. Thx and take care. Love the Tech's Choice hoodie!! 👍
About to go back and pick up a HyperTough penlight like the LumaStik 10 for $15 at WallyWurld "200LM Rechageable Penlight", half the brightness but i'll give it a shot for just $15 Wish me luck lol
Picked it up, definitely "200LM". A bit brighter than my Braun folding slim bar "390LM" set to low, which is how i use it most the time. The magnet is subpar, you have to take the sticker off it for it to actually be functional. With that said, it might be the best light for $15 imo
Clay you can never have to many lights I do like that lumastick I have the snap on one and I think it was 140.00 vs 60.00. Keep the up the great videos.🔧🔧🔧🔧
I just want a decent pen light with a clip that doesn't pop off constantly or doesn't break off. I like having one in my back pocket, but no clip will last longer than a year before the clip is gone or broken.
I’ve done a video before on this but you can put a piece of heat shrink around the StreamLight clip and it will keep it on the stylus pro perfectly and that way it doesn’t pop off.
the maxxeon is great. i have a recommendation of an even better one, same style of light and right now only 7$ more than the maxxeon, search for SUNREI C1600, it has 1500lumens brightest mode (ridiculously too bright) and has 13500mah battery and doubles as a portable charger or it will just have insane runtimes because of that massive battery capacity. it is the best work light i have ever used and i have been hunting for the perfect one for years!! the sunrei is definetly the best and at only 42$. I just about sh!t myself when the MAC tool truck came to my work and had the typical light all the companies have similar to the maxxeon and sunrei, when he said 250$ i literally almost fainted
When I was a kid I used the mag light with D batteries
I still use mine. I have the 2, 3 , and 6 cell versions along with the aa and aaa versions. Maglite is good with warranties and repairs, too. Switch failures are the only issues I've encountered. The rubber cap wears out.
I even had the small mini mag light

These review videos, and videos in general have been great. Have a great week, Sir!
Thanks clay !!! We love that you have the hoodie on …. I am still waiting on the 50 lights I ordered at SEMA !!! Get it son !!!

Can’t say enough about the light-bar that I bought really lights up under the car/ truck. And really just the thing for under the house.

I do like the middle one. Ordered a new Fenix should be here Thursday. Lightning is a must.

Cyclops vs scout... which one is better for a hot rod working on a engine at night ?
Hands down cyclops for run time and wider beam pattern
I didn't see a link to MAXXEON on the description or to an Amazon afflink.
Looks like they are available on Amazon.
Any reason not to buy from there?
