I can confirm, this information is 100% accurate. It's really that easy, the hard part is the discipline to actually get started and do it. Once the snowball gets rolling, it all gets easier. Only thing I would add to your list is, get out, and stay out of debt. Not owing anyone money is an amazing feeling.

I think if you are making good money...like he said 1MM a year, you can afford to spend it on a BMW. Going to extremes for a regular joe also does not work...earn, save and invest. Don't deprive yourself. But delaying gratification is key and also buying things with cash and not credit, can help build wealth too.

Would you consider paying off student debt with the snow ball method a type of investing? I'm figuring paying those off will have a similar effect.
Plus once they are paid off or close to it I plan on taking 75% of what we are paying on debt and invest it.
)My spouse and I are adding a variety of stocks/ETF to my present holdings for the long term, We've set aside $250k to start following inflation-indexed bonds and stocks of companies with solid cash flows, I believe it is a good time to capitalize on the market for long-term gains, but it wouldn't hurt to know means of actualizing short term profit.
Find quality stocks that have long term potential, and ride with those stocks. I have found it takes someone who is very familiar with the market to make such good picks.
A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.
How can one find a verifiable financial planner? I would not mind looking up the professional that helped you. I will be retiring in two years and I might need some management on my much larger portfolio. Don't want to take any chances.

Step 2, I think, because financing an education, a family, a home, etc. happens before people have any education on money, so they end up broke later. Most of us would invest more if we didn't have loans, the biggest scam aimed to keep young people poor for life.
