Going to a labor camp for writing dissent is freedom?! And people are in distress and do have mass shootings in China like the Zhaodong massacre (maybe if China didn’t suppress information you would know this!!! It’s literally Chinese massacres in Wikipedia. I guess you were hoping someone that actually reads and isn’t a ccp bot wouldn’t appear. ) while the country implodes they have mass killings with cars running over children like Zhuhai car attack 35 killed or stabbing. China IS a democracy. What a democracy is can be understood by understanding what it isn't. A democracy is not a) a hereditary monarchy, b) a realm under the control of feuding warlords, or c) a realm ruled by a restricted class of nobility. Any citizen is eligible to be considered for acceptance into the CCP. Once accepted, that citizen can rise through the ranks by having the esteem and confidence of their peers.
People mistake elections for democracy. But elections are actually a large part of the reason why the U.S. *doesn't* have a democracy. Elections are nothing but corruption! They require huge amounts of money which are funded entirely by bribes (euphemistically called 'campaign contributions'). The top politicians tend to be people who are unscrupulous and excel at manipulating others -- sociopaths.
Am I there in China? Do I see intimately what is going on with their government? No, I don't. But I've been shown what their government has accomplished. And the results have been decades of staggeringly effective, humane, and rapid change. A government of the people that's truly BY the people and FOR the people.

Can't agree more. Democracy in China is called 'Minzhu' 民主 which simply means 'People First'. So in China, Minzhu isn't tied up with election or voting right etc like the western world symbolizing their so-called democracy. People First ( 民主) is the ruling goal of the PRC Communist Party in implementing a successive policy to lift up people's living standard in all respects such as People's living and safety right etc. This policy is taken for the sake of the people in general above unbound individual freedom. Also, the Chinese have learnt a lot from their painful ancient history the disaster multi-party system had brought to the fall down of a dynasty because of the internal fighting while people were living in hell. So, the modern China will hold firm to their one party system sturture which will form a hard shell against political instability caused by party election which is susceptible to western power influence.

I am Taiwanese, and I hope my message can help foreign friends understand the philosophy of governance in Chinese culture. Did you know that in countries experiencing post-war recovery, where education is not yet fully accessible, unrestricted freedom of speech can lead to rampant rumors, political instability, and hinder national progress?
If you were a visionary leader, you would likely choose to open up gradually. It's important to understand that complete freedom of speech and societal stability are often hard to achieve simultaneously.
For example, if you work for a major corporation in the United States, do you think employees can openly insult the CEO?
Most Americans, Europeans, and even Taiwanese spend the majority of their lives within companies.
We often believe we live in a place with complete freedom of speech, yet fail to notice that most of our time is actually spent in organizations where such freedom doesn't fully exist. Isn't that ironic?
In reality, governing a nation is far more complex than managing a large corporation. Allowing everyone to vote for the CEO and criticize them freely as if running a business or a country is child’s play is simply too naive.
You might argue that countries and corporations are different and cannot be compared this way. However, I hope you understand this: Both corporations and citizens pay “taxes.” Therefore, the government is "supported by the people," just as the management of a company is "supported by its employees".
On the surface, they seem different, but fundamentally, they are the same.
When considering these issues, you must understand one key point:
When a country is well-governed, the tax money contributed by the people generates a return greater than the sum of its parts (e.g., citizens gain access to high-quality infrastructure and various social protections).
Similarly, when a company is well-managed, the time and effort contributed by employees generate a return greater than the sum of its parts (e.g., employees receive high salaries and benefits).
On the surface, these seem different, but fundamentally, they are the same.
Both governing a nation and managing a company require vision and leadership ability. When ordinary people think they understand and criticize recklessly, it inevitably leads to societal division and stagnation in national development. This is the current situation in countries like the United States, South Korea, and Germany.
    In simple terms:
If you view China as a massive corporation, with its citizens as employees, the analogy becomes clear.
Employees contribute to the corporation's continuous progress and, in return, receive generous benefits.
From this perspective, citizens (employees) can provide suggestions to the government (corporation).
But avoiding reckless criticism of the government (corporation) is a governance approach that fosters mutual prosperity and a win-win scenario.

PLUS all being accountable to "the customer".... The individual citizen.
I have seen reports of Individuals receiving written reports following complaint until resolved to their satisfaction.
This does indeed mirror the structure of an "ideal" Corporation (although many are not ideal!)

First off if you are a ccp bot not using ccp is the fastest way to let me know you are a ccp bot.
NO chinese VOTES FOR ANYONE RUNNING THE TOP HALF OF THE GOVERNMENT. are you obtuse or just bad at propaganda.
Democracy is also in the name for North Korea or the terms are not interchangeable with the western use of democracy and individual freedoms.
Democratic and communist political systems are based on different ideological principles. Although superficially they seem to share the "power to the people" philosophy, in practice the two systems of government structure the economic and political fabric of society in markedly different ways.
In the economic sphere, communism calls for the government to take control of all the capital and industry in the country in an effort to get rid of economic inequality. On the other hand, a democracy respects individuals' right to own property and means of production.
The political landscape is also very different in a democracy vs. under communism. In a democratic society people are free to create their own political parties and contest in elections, which are free of coercion and fair to all contestants. In a communist society, however, the government is controlled by one political party and political dissent is not tolerated.

But when you are at the front, pushing it ahead, it is much harder. So you do not see the same progress since it is hard.

Democracy is a nice concept. It allows people to have choices. But more often than not these are false choices. While people may have choices, are they able to make informed decisions? Not only that they can only vote for those on election. And if they present you two options (Red or Blue) both are equally bad for the people but hide behind the mask that they will serve you. You will not be the wiser too. Just take a look at American politics, that is what is happening now and for a long while. Both sides of the senate serve only their own self interest and their lobbyist. Democracy gives Americans the illusion of choice. I do not say this because I am PRC Chinese or believe in communist ideals. I too came from a democratic country but have seen what has happen in other western nations and lost faith in the system.

The main issue with education in the United States is that it was designed to keep Americans isolated. Its purpose is to convince citizens that the country is exceptional, almost a paradise on Earth. Little to nothing is taught about other continents, cultures, countries, or different ways of living. It is an educational system focused on work, money, consumption, and the concept of justice.

In China their brains are differently wired many many levels up just because of their language and writing system. ACTUALLY, they actually understand the concept of STABILITY/PEACE for ALL as FIRST thing. They understand that a physically+mentally healthy population is PARAMOUNT for develepment, vwealth and STABILITY (for everyone). This mental capacity allows them to do what they did in ONLY 30 yrs and to KEEP THINGS SUSTAINABLE, because everyone there feels has a job(big, medium or small) and WANTS TO KEEP THE PEACE /STABILITY, which for them FREEDOM TO LIVE more relevant than to express one"s egotistic view of life in by bashing others, bullying, provoking, intimidating, as it happens in anglo saxoncultures.

In the U.S., you can commit murder and still walk freely if the bail bond money amount is met with the required amount. If you murder someone and the judge sets a bail amount of $150,000, all you have to do is pay 10% or $15,000. You don't have to pay with cash by bail bonds where you can use cars or houses as collateral equal to $15,000. You can murder and walk FREE in the street with less than 15k. We had many cases where perpetrators who were on “bail” committed more murders. Yet, if I were to walk around a public street with an open container of alcoholic beverage it could mean jail if you were intoxicated or a citation ticket if you were sober with a can of beer. No freedom for a can of beer on a public street while a murderer can walk free with a 15k or less bond bail amount. It's nuts. 😂

Not sure if I've ever come across this channel before, but very good video.
I'm an American living in Thailand. Haven't made it to China yet. Plan to vacation there fair soon.
Without altering my settings, you video already has both English and Chinese subtitles. Did you need some expensive editing to do so, or is there a way to get RUclips to do so automatically. I know I can alter settings for RUclips to put such up for my own feed, but I'd love to be able to do this on videos I make if I can do so free or cheap.
With this new exposure of how the west manufactures China-hate, what Americans still haven't realized is that such propaganda is limited to American audiences, and in fact, they spread it all over the world.
I've seen this China-hate propaganda here in Thailand myself. I worked for a little while teaching English and I saw many students sucker for it. And, yes, I exposed it as the propaganda some it was, much to the displeasure of the occasional neocolonial puppet or sycophant.
The west regularly fund protests against any politico in Thailand in power that won't kowtow to the west, and if it happens here, it happens everywhere.
I'm planning to do my own (very low budget aka no budget) video on this myself. It would be great if I could put both Thai and Chinese subtitles on it.

Biden and Trump are just taking turns, you're still at the bottom of the ladder of misery; you're just under the mistaken impression that your vote counts, it's just an illusion, and if you can't even think about it, then you've got an IQ worthy of your misery。

Freedom, democracy, human rights, diversity, tolerance, equality, why should these beautiful words be defined by the West? What qualifications do they have?
China is indeed not a Western-style democracy, but the disasters of modern mankind have been caused by Western-style democracies. Global colonial plunder, World War I, World War II, infiltration and subversion, color revolutions, human experimentation, intimidation, bullying, and nuclear threats are all caused by the United States , NATO and Japan
The boundaries of freedom in all countries are law, morality and mainstream public opinion. When anyone claims that his country is free, I am curious, is he saying that his country has no laws and no sense of shame?
