Katsaris’ playing is always scarily clear. He brings out voices in this performance that no other pianist seems to notice!!

For a more conservative Toccata, try the Robert Schumann. Still a fist-full of notes!

The Schumann is much harder to play actually

this is overwhelmingly the BEST of this piece.
Of course, most of the pianist including virtuoso can play this difficult piece without making mistake even one note. However, generally be played in a very solid and noisy way.
Compared to them, Katsaris plays each note incredibly softly and gorgeously, without being too loud. Despite this, it is a sound of cohesive hard energy. It is magic itself.

"without making mistake even one note" is an exaggeration -- every single performance I have heard has at least one mistake -- even in this one there is a mistake at 1:16 where Katsaris misses the C#.
