I do like the American weddings, the big intro's ensures time is positively used up with dancers. English functions tend to be a cake cut, first dance, food, then 2 hours of playing whatever to motivate guests up to dancing.
It can vary here but a typical timeline is:
Ceremony
Cocktail Hour
Reception Introductions
First dance
Parent Dances
Dinner
Cake
Open Dancing
Gotta hand it to you that is a ton of gear for 1 person to set up and you were pretty much coordinating as well. And provided a photo booth. Impressive
That’s what I said. She can use a good assistant to help her out and teach him or her the ropes.
Hey, I was watching the load up part of the video, have you thought about getting a roll-out bed? It makes it unbelievably easy to get things in and out, and you won’t have to climb in and out pretty much at all.
I have seen those and they look very cool! I was considering it, but never got around to it. At the very minimum I’ll be doing a “bed rug” so it’s not so hard on my knees or things slide better. Thanks for the suggestion. I appreciate you checking this out.
@@DJRachelLynch I’ve had three Silverado trucks now, and I’ve had the bed slide installed in all three of them, and I appreciate it more than you can imagine. Just sayin. 😁

Racheal last time we texted you told me your setup takes less than an hour. That setup there looks like you need a 3 hour head start. Great gig. I don’t know you do it solo.
Hey Lou! 🙋🏼♀️ Thanks for watching! My “main DJ setup” with lighting and wire management takes about 45 min. The photo booth, ceremony and remote cocktail hour speak add more time. This setup took 1.5 hours. I needed to do some finishing touches during cocktail hour to ensure I had enough time for the more time consuming elements.
I know it looks like a lot, but I promise you everything has wheels and setups painlessly. Maybe I’m just used to it. 😂🤷🏼♀️ It’s really not that bad.

I use a iPhone 13 Pro Max to record and edit everything along with a $20 selfie stick. 🙂

Hi Rachel! Great gig log but I do have one question. Why are you doing all of this by yourself? I know it'll bite into your profit but you should hire someone to help you. It'll take the pressure off and just makes the whole thing easier.IMHO,,,,
I've seen her work with an assistant before. Hope this wasn't solo and the assistant just isn't in the video because this is a lot of kit for one person.
Maybe she's capable and professional enough to handle it all by herself?
@@djLovelyTime Her capability and professionalism aren't in question here, as she clearly knows what she's doing. It's just a simple cost/benefit analysis. How much profit is that extra time and effort worth going alone? Also, the more moving parts you have on your gig, the more things that can go wrong even when you're well prepared and have a system. An extra brain and set of hands goes really far when problems pop up.
