Your cosplay as Anya is absolutely adorable, Alex. I'm really enjoying your reactions to the first season of this anime, and I'm still supporting you because your anime content is so amazing.
Honestly!! 🙈😂 I can relate so much. I actually write some notes for interview in handwriting and I’m not worried that someone will see all the possible “examples” of this and that and I’ve got bulletpoints safe. Nobody knows what I’ve scribbled there 😂
※ Thankful for your reacting. Continuing of Shoh-gatsu (new year) in Japan. Incidentally. Japan is an old country (Recent research suggests that it may be the oldest in the world) with many traditions, customs, and events, but January is especially rich in them. First of all, all months in Japan have Japanese names. January is called "Mu-tsuki" or "Shoh-gatsu". But, Shoh-gatsu can refer to the whole of January or a short period (called "Matsu no Uchi"). Originally, Shoh-gatsu "was an agricultural festival, and due to differences in climate, traditions, customs, etc., it has an important meaning especially in rural areas, and the dates and customs vary depending on the region. Generally, it is held until the 15th, but in some places such as Tokyo is held until the 7th. (reason, it was decided by the Tokugawa Shogunate) In some places, continues until the 20th or 30th. But the first to third days are special days, and cleaning and laundry are taboo. Reason, the gods who bring good luck are most present period in the house. In other words, cleaning and laundry are said to be an act, of sweeping out and washing drain the good fortune arrived together with the gods, that has come into the new year. So there has long been a belief that by doing so, the good fortune of the year can be kept in the home. Also, even Japanese people who love baths do not take baths on January 1st. The reason is the same, to wash away act the good fortune that has been gained from God. For this reason, it is customary year-end cleaning the house by the 28th of the year, get everything ready all over Japan, and welcome the gods into a clean and neat home in the new year. So according to tradition, most Japanese government offices and companies finish their work by the 28th and take a break from the 29th. However, this year, the 28th is a Saturday, so it is said to be a miraculous 9-day holiday starting from the 28th. Lol. But, some things do not fit the current age, so we will be flexible in that regard. Also, there are traditional events and customs such as Nanakusa-gayu (rice porridge with seven herbs), karuta meet use Hyakunin-issyu (a Japanese old verse of 5, 7, 5, 7, 7 letters), Ebisu-ko (a festival of business), and Coming of Age Ceremonies. So I would like to introduce them other time.
