Had 2 of these. Both started leaking. Couldn’t find the leaks. Tossed one before I realized it had the LT warranty. Thanks for reminding me to get an exchange on the other one. Using a Nemo Tensor Long Wide now. Excellent Edit: I registered the pads, then emailed their customer support. They have replied and stated they have supplied a refund. Since refunds aren’t instant, I’ll edit again once it is clear that a refund was provided.
Update: I was notified by Amazon that a refund is in process for 1 of the pads. Replied to CS to see if they want to refund or replace the other pad as they seemed to overlook the fact that 2 were ordered even though details were provided for each order.
I had one. Took it on a long range patrol class.. sucks when you're sleeping on uneven rooty ground in the forest in a bivy. Got the sea to summit ether light insulated long wide and that's amazing. Buy once cry once
I was going to say, let’s see if the company asks you to change or delete your review after refund like they did with my sleeping bag review, but seems like you didn’t review and go through the refund process via offer from Sleepingo. I’m still frustrated by this process I’m copying and pasting my other comment so it’s seen: I got the double sleeping bag rated 32-degrees from this company and was repeatedly asked by them to change my review after they refunded me. I took it on two trips, one to MN for a week where my nights were high 40s/low 50s. When I wrote a review stating, it’s fine for 65-degrees, not 50 and definitely not 32, I got an email saying they would refund me and they were sorry I was disappointed. Yes please, got my refund. After my refund I got two emails being like, did you get your refund and also, “I would really appreciate if you update your original review, or maybe just delete it?” I did not delete it nor change my review, but I can see how this tactic works. And it seems all of the low star reviews who say the same as me barely have any likes so people aren’t seeing the critical ones. This is another problem with Amazon reviews.
Update 2: Sleepingo has given a full refund on both pads. So, I have to give them full credit as well. No cringy requests, just a well written apology.

Not just Amazon reviews. I don't trust reviews anywhere anymore. Even tiny little online shops have inflated BS reviews now. That's why channels like this are so important!
except i weigh 180, ive spent over 100 nights on this pad as a restless side sleeper, my hip doesnt bottom out, and the valve is actually bomber...so can you really trust this review without having tried it yourself? great value : weight ratio. not ideal for car camping.
The biggest reason I think they get high reviews is that people who buy these dont have experience buying the quality ones costing 5x more so they simply dont know how good these can be. They assume this is what good is.
@@Adam-vx6to I've tried 100-200$ Nemo's, big Agnes,and thermorests. The Nemo tensor is actually pretty comfortable but 4-5x the price. The big reason people give this pad negative review I because theyve never given it a chance
I've had pretty good luck with Klymit inflatable sleep pads. They're way under the $100. plus price point of some other well known brands. I purchased one of the sleepingo pads but never used it. It is pretty light weight but so are my Klymit pads and pillows. And the Sleepingo is a bit thin in height as stated in the video.
I'm 5'8" and 210 lbs (yes a walking basketball) and I've slept on my side on this without bottoming out. I've used it 4 times so far with no issues. I also like the size. I've decided to attempt a few stealth camps, and this works great. I don't know what It would be like for days in a row. But for 1-2 days I'd use it.
As a side sleeper, I thank you for always mentioning it. Actually, not only do you mention it but now you're gonna suffer on your side while you test it out. Thank you for always doing your due diligence!

Camping toug isn't that great in Germany. It's forbidden in Public places and you got to have an aggreement on private Ground. Other then that, usually only Campsites are allowed, wich aren't exactly like the wilderness thing. Most Campsites are rather funny, they are basically a retirement home, with elders living there in tiny houses.
I use this pad for hammock camping in florida. I havent had any issues after 20 trips. Blows up quickly, deflates quickly, hasn't leaked, and fits in my hammock perfectly. Maybe not so great for ground sleeping, but works well for hanging in the trees.
i've had one of these for a year it's basically the bare minimum. has virtually no R value. only weird thing was getting a letter from Mr Coy West over a year after i ordered it asking me for an Amazon review

I have this pad. It's okay. It's slippery. There's absolutely ZERO "r" value. Great for summer. Light, and small. Worked well with my cotton rope hammock. Good price.
I've found Outdoorsman Lab to be a decent brand for low/mid tier stuff that's not complete garbage. Yeah it's mostly the same stuff made at the same factories all these other brands are selling, but they don't try to oversell it and inflate their prices in the process. I have several of their camping blankets (basically a sleeping bag without a zipper) and they're great for what they are.
This is the first time I’ve seen a review of something I’ve bought that doesn’t reflect what I’ve experienced. I’ve had this same sleeping pad for years now and it’s held up this entire time. I reallly like it for a lightweight option. Works great in a hammock because of the shape of the air pockets that allow it to form around your body. The ONLY complaint I have is that it’s noisy when moving around at night. But I’m really surprised at what you get for the price with this sleeping pad.
Hi, the very reason I'm thinking of getting this type of pad is because it looks a lot more 'flexible' than the self inflating foam types and so should work better in a hammock. so this has been your actual exprience? t.i.a
@@MidgeDiabolik this pad has been perfect for hammock sleeping. I like that it's so versatile in that I can scrunch it up if I want more support under my knees or even sleep on my side because it forms to my body. But just like any sleeping pad in a hammock, it takes some patience to stop it from sliding around underneath you and you really need to play around with the amount of air in the pad (I like it less inflated). Also, I'm 5'10" 170 lbs. so my experience may differ slightly from someone not my size. I hope this helps
I have this pad too, and I like it as well. When I lay down on it, I feel nothing but comfort. Now I do agree that if you sit up while laying on it, you will feel the ground. But it's lightweight, easy to inflate, and easy to deflate and store. I'm glad I bought it.
Great video! I have this pad and some other $40 pads. This one is my go-to if I'm going as light as possible. 14oz is pretty impressive and I haven't had any issues with it as far as leaking, durability, or anything else. Is it the most comfortable? No. If I'm not going ultra light and comfort is the goal, my $40 Trekology kicks the Sleepingos butt. 4 inches thick, 40D nylon, not too loud, the material feels less plasticky, and it is just SUPER comfortable. I had not heard of those sites to check Amazon reviews, but will definitely have to check that out for future purchase. Purchased reviews are super annoying. Thanks for giving your honest opinion!
It isn't the best seller because its good. Its the best seller because it is inexpensive and markets itself well based on what they say on the box. IT looks uncomfortable just looking at it. Too many uninflated spaces.

I have one of those and I also have a Nemo Tensor insulated. Luke, that pad may have a zero R-value, but in regards to weight, strength and reliability it’s awesome! You just have to realize it’s a summer pad. I’m 5 foot eight at 140 pounds and on my side it doesn’t contact the ground. No hotspots.
I just got done with a 950 mile hike and used this sleeping pad every day. I started the hike at 200 pounds and ended at rought 170 pounds... am a side sleeper and never had my hips touch the ground. The hike was from Springer mountain GA to Luray VA on the AT. Again, I used this pad every day through hot/cold/snow/rain/sleet etc... I love it, never had a problem. But.... it seems manufacturing is hit and miss, I met 3 other hikers that started with the same pad and 2 of 3 of them had it leak in the first week, the 3rd just didn't like it. For the price, it's a great pad in my opinion. I picked it up when preparing for the hike and watched a video of "Dixie" who recommended it. I thought why not, and I wasn't disappointed. It outperformed pads that cost 5 times as much in my experience. It did accumulate some condensation inside as I blew it up every night... but hanging it in the sun during zero days with the valve open would reduce this. You really need to blow it up "tight" though to make it comfy.
I've had the same experience, I like the pad, when it is cold I carry a foam pad to go under it and it seems fine. I'm 6', 200lbs and sleep on my side. I got it a couple years ago for less than $20. It's a great budget item.
never had problem with this for 2 years even in snow. albeit i use a $300 -30c sleeping bag so it compensates for the thin air mat, but i guess you just make do with what works for you
Ditto! I also like Klymit. I bought three pads and 4 pillows. I only carry one but it's nice to know that I have the other two in reserve at home should I ever need to retire the first one. Klymit also made an inflatable 1 person raft which was always sold out every time I checked. I have several 4 person rafts but they are too heavy to pack on an excursion. I hope Klymit still makes their raft because I'm certain that it must be of equal quality. Rest well upon you Klymit!
I‘ve got the mat a few year ago but Branded differently. I‘m Pretty happy with it, it slept really comfy and didn‘t leak although my dog stepped on it a lot. I like it for the weight and I like in for hiking in the Summer!
I’ve seen a couple of backpackers here on YT recommend this pad as a decent budget option. I almost picked one up for my son (14) because he only likes to camp/backpack in the summer and doesn’t need a pad with a high R-value. I’m glad I passed on this one.
If it's only for the summer then this is not bad because a kid doesn't need a lot of thickness in the pad and the R rating doesn't matter in the summer. This is not a bad pad, just a little over rated and not good for cold conditions. Anyways what pad did you went with? I hope you didn't spend 150$+ on a professional pad for a kid lol unless you're rich.
Ice Queen: This IS a decent pad. I've slept well on it. It should take care of your son. It's quite good enough. If someone wants a pad that is 3 or 4 inches thick, it will be more expensive.
I have this pad and used it several times in all seasons, I use it in conjunction with a sleeping bag with a bivy, so I dont lose too much heat from the low R rating. I paid 27 bucks for it a few months back, they had a great coupon on Amazon. Its a good budget pad. Some reviewers who are accustomed to a lot better gear will not like it. Its kind of like going from a Mercedes then renting a Ford, while it does the same thing, its just not the same.
@@paladin11C40 Wow that was a steal! Yea for 27$ you can't do better than this! then when you have more money and experiment you can upgrade what you need. This is the best way to go. Unfortunately, I bought my stuff in a hurry and tried to get middle of the line/good gear right off the bat because I may have to camp in cold climate and because I need smaller gear to carry in a backpack. I went with a 100$ Hammock Gear Pad that has 4 R Rating and 2.5 Inches and packs really nicely and a Econo Quilt that's not economical at all!!! but it's really good 20c rating and packs small for around 200$. My tent is a Greycliff 2, I can't find ANY reviews on it but it's the best I could find for the price (175$) and very similar to the Lynx 2 but with more mesh.
I bought this for the reason of it being best on Amazon. Being 225lb 6ft side sleeper it was not comfortable so It was a big let down. Now I am still on the search for a good sleeping pad. I did gift this one to someone smaller in which did work out ok. Thanks for the info on amazon reviews It was an eye opener.
I’ve had one for a couple years now and I really like it. I paid $30 for it and I have had zero problems with mine. I’m 5’ 10” 180lbs And a side sleeper. You just have to blow it up really firm.
Being a non minimalist car camper, the $14.97 walmart queen air mattress will give you a good nights sleep. And yes I do know that TOGR is more for the backpackers. Luke dose an excellent job in helping me hold down the overall vehicle weight of my four wheeler. Also TOGR has saved me time and money in getting the right gear the first time.
So I bought this pad and used it a few times... and I have to say, I like it for ONE purpose: hammock camping. This thing isn't rigid and so it conforms to the shape of my hammock and works great for hammock camping to give some insulation and comfort (though I prob wouldn't use just on its own in temps below 60 or so... (I usually sleep with a 40º bag) lower than that, I'd add an underquilt to the hammock to sleep more comfortably). I went and picked up a Big Agnes Q-Core insulated pad for tent camping as I do tend to be a side-sleeper sometimes. This pad was much thicker and comfier for ground sleeping and had a higher R-Value as well for lower temps. It's good to test out your gear and know which works best for certain applications!
I have this pad and I love it. However, I do use a yoga mat underneath because I mostly use it for camping in cold nights in the 40’s. So for warmth, I use a yoga mat. Also, I sleep on my back in cold weather so I don’t know how comfortable it would be if I was to sleep on my side. Additionally, I’m easily comfortable anywhere. I once slept in my kayak so what may be uncomfortable for someone like my husband, I would be completely ok. My husband would not, in any way, be comfortable in this pad. This pad is good for people who don’t need a lot of comfort.
I've had it a few years and taken it out a few times. I haven't done intense testing or anything but, coming from someone who never owned a sleeping pad and just used a piece of foam: it's significantly more comfortable and easier to carrier. Most comfortable nights sleep I've had in a tent. I cannot compare it to more premium pads. For what I spent I think it was certainly worth the money.
I have a re-label and agree. Pretty decent! Not the best, absolutely not the worst and way better than the old foam pads. Especially considering size, weight and price.
This is what I like about this channel, someone who hasn’t been bought off by anyone or any company but who still gives a fair and reasoned analysis of a product.
i have one these and I honestly have zero problems with it. i dont use it for hiking and camping but I do use it for sleeping outdoor in a tent or even in the car. it blows up nice, it folds up nice. Kind of noisy and if I put it in a sleeping bag it doesn't move.145 pounds, sleep on my back and sometimes my side, no problems at least if this is on a cot. On the ground side sleeping is tough unless you have something really thick.
I have this sleeping pad and I have not had any problems with it. I am also a side sleeper and weigh 175 lbs. I put it in my sleeping bag and I put a sleeping bag liner. The last time I used it in early November in Northern Arizona I slept very well.

I have this, a different brand, which I got from aliexpress for $20. Bought it for my son for summer camping as it is small and light. Works really well for that purpose, and would buy again.
I purchased this pad earlier this year. Used it several times camping/backpacking. I loved the price and actually found it fairly comfortable as a side sleeper. Took good care it, always being careful to not puncture it. However it only lasted for five trips. Never fun to wake up in the middle of the night with your hips digging into the ground because all the air has leaked out. Definitely not planning to purchase another, looking a higher quality pad in the near future.
The best part I find hilarious is that on the outside of the box it states “heavy duty will not leak” yet open it up and it comes with a repair kit. LOL
I'm afraid, I have to agree with you. I have owned one for 2 years. And, I have always found it comfortable. I weigh 220 lbs. And am strictly a side sleeper. I simply blow it up firmer. I should note however, that I do prefer a much firmer mattress. I basically only need padding for my hips. So, I might not be the best example. I do agree with you on the deceptive advertising. Had I known that, at the time, I would have chosen another product.
I bought one of these as a "beginner" pad. It was fine for six nights, then started leaking in the middle of the 7th night. Luckily I had a Thermarest z-lite foam pad under that, otherwise I would have been really cold (the Sleepingo does have *some* R-value because I would feel the cold whenever I slipped off the pad, which was often). The company sent me a replacement, but I went on to buy myself a much thicker/warmer Big Agnes pad. I'd say that this pad is fine for a beginner who's trying to get together a bunch of gear without spending too much: it's cheap and it's light. It can get someone like me out in the woods, and eventually they can upgrade.
I’ve used an Intey brand I got off Amazon a year ago for around $30. I’ve used it in a hammock and tent. I’m a side sleeper and I can say it’s pretty ok. I got a sleepingo a couple weeks ago based on reviews and positive videos. I won’t use it by itself, but together with the intey? Chef’s kiss. They are the same size and weight. Worth the extra space they take up in my pack.

I bought one of these, the same exact one. So far its comfortable and no issues. I have used it several times, its really not that bad and is better than nothing if you are on a budget. When I can afford a better one, I will give this one to my 8 year old son. I think I paid about 27 dollars for mine.
you are right actually! . when I started the outdoors and didnt know I looked in Amazon and bought this . Its not that bad but I almost never had a good night sleep as a side sleeper plus its very narrow on the sides. Thats why i watch you all these years because you really say it like it is. Thanks for the honest review, I don't read much into Amazon's reviews as I've run into this exact scam and more and more counterfeit items as well. why isn't the seller's name associated with counterfeit items? Is Amazon protecting the sellers even when being dishonest. I haven't tried this pad and like you I think deception deserves no reward.

I actually received a request once on a negative review I made asking me to edit the review. The company even sent me the preferred wording. As a result, do not trust any reviews and do outside research. This is for Amazon or any other company.

The ones that do that, I get the accessories and then immediately update my review to the actual feelings about the product (and a note that they "bought" my review)
I have this pad. It's very comfortable for me, especially if I put a closed cell foam pad under my upper body. I haven't had any leaks yet. My main complaint is that it won't stay under me. I wake up and it's either by my side or the only part of me is still on it; my head & shoulders. I guess I move around too much during sleep. I thought I could fix it by, putting it inside my sleeping bag. That finally helped. It's really good for sleeping in my car too.
For $40 I dig this pad quite a bit. I agree they are way overzealous with their marketing, but that aside its well worth the $40. I bring my shortened Thermarest closed foam pad when hiking and I just throw this in the pack as a bonus. On top of a foam pad its total luxury for cheap, doubles my R value and adds some air cushion, even better in a hammock. That aside and the reviews aside, its the best selling pad because its 40 bucks, its that simple. And if you trash it you get a new one. My only con is its loud as hell.
Thanks for the review! I will be passing on this sleeping pad for two reasons - I am 6’6” and weigh 210 pounds. I have all my gear picked out except for the sleeping pad. I am concerned about weight (as any backpacker should be). I am also concerned about comfort. My budget for a pad is $50-150.
I know this is an older video-- algorithm is weird-- thanks for sharing and discussing the deception. I agree that alone should be concerning and a reason to avoid them. You said at one point side sleepers need 3in minimum, I thru-hiked AT last year and CDT this year (daily vlogs from each) and I have always slept on a 2.5in mat very comfortably as a side sleeper. Just a heads up for future reference. Love the channel, been checking it off and on for a while now!
I have not used this yet but purchased it along with a bunch of other gear to start Motorcycle camping... Then I searched reviews on YT and found yours which I was happy to see as I started following your channel a few months ago :). I purchased this without too much worry due to the fact that I will be using it on a small cot so will not be directly on the ground. I am just getting too old for that. Not intentional, but my cot, this pad and my sleeping bag (also one you have reviewed) are all some shade of green. I am a little conflicted as I almost think it should go back on principle, but on the other hand, for the price, it is probably good enough for my needs, and because I will not be directly on the ground. Edit: I went to return it on Amazon and it is non returnable due to hazmat regulations??? That is not reassuring. Looked at other brands return eligibility (Exped for example) and did not see the same warning. I also bought a Lone Rider Moto tent... I was leaning strongly towards getting one before I found your review, but it helped seal the deal (got it on Black Friday, so saved a bit on it at least). Fits my bike well of course, but I also wanted a tent I can stand in. Can't wait for slightly warmer temps to start my weekend adventures!
I had two outdoorsman labs, they both started leaking about 3 years after I bought them. One was barely ever used, and the other was used almost 1-2x weekly. I never could find the leaks, I think it was near the valve. There is no lifetime warranty with them.
Sleepingo's compact pad offers great support and easy deflation, fitting backpacking needs. The slippery surface causes slight slippage in the sleeping bag. Noisy cells affect sleep, lowering the rating.
I've been using this for 3 years. Obviously not designed for winter. I have no problems with it. I am a side sleeper and haven't had any issues. They are now under $30. Its a good buy for a casual.
All the biggest brand are going away from amazon because of the reliability of the reviews, amazon should take more seriously fakes reviews. Great video over all, i was looking for a cheap sliping pad and now im even more confused :D
I bought this in January of 2022 and have taken it on several camping trips! It is great for a budget pad!! Budget being the key word. If you can't afford a better pad , like me, then this will do fine!! Have used it on several camping trips this year with no issues.
Love these reviews and agree with the piece regarding bogus Amazon reviews. That said there are some elements of this review that just aren't right. I own this mat, I'm 6'1, 200 lbs., and a side sleeper and this mat works fine for me - never bottomed out. I bought this item based on reviews from RUclipsrs who are side sleepers, in particular Homemade Wunderlust (Dixie) , a through camper (AT, PCT, CDT) who did a video on budget gear and tested it on 4 day backpacking trip. The Sleepingo was her favorite piece of gear. Like the OutdoorReviewGuy I dislike false marketing claims made by companies for the sake of making a buck but I'm equally put off by reviewers who, for whatever reason, misrepresent elements of the product they're reviewing.
I use the Teton XXL Camp Pad...It's 9 lbs., every bit of 82" long, 38" wide and a Full 2 1/2" thick all the way around...It cost $100...Is Seriously water repellant with a canvas cover and tie loops at each corner for a cot...I'd rather spend 2x as much and carry an extra 8 pounds for added comfort and protection...And I weigh 280 lbs!!!

I bought two of these one year ago. It is better than my cheep 1/3 in pad. I'm about 185lbs and don't sleep very well while camping and tend to sleep on my side. It seems to work fine for my kids, but I think I need something thicker or better for side sleepers. I put a blanket over it and then my sleeping bag to try and keep warmer.

I'm actually considering something like this. Especially if there may be others that are slightly cheaper. For someone who uses an unfolded sleeping bag as a sleeping pad and enjoys the hard floor, this seems alright.
I'm just getting my gear and "window shop" with Amazon a lot. When I come across an item that I may consider, I check out the reviews.....I should say I check out the 1-2 star negative reviews or as I feel, the REAL REVIEWS and am amazed at the total opposite of comments listed the "good reviews"....usually specifying a problem that the 4-5 star reviews don't even mention....everything from gas stoves to tents and backpacks. The process leaves me questioning the buying online issue altogether.
My 11 year old son, whom I bought one of these for this summer, would rate it a 3 out of 5. He says it is easy to slide off of if not on level ground. I will definitely have to upgrade as he gets into his teen years. For now, it works though.
Most reviews on any website are ridiculous. I was looking recently for hiking attire...reviews were all over the map. For one article of clothing, reviews were "fits true to size", "fit is small...get a size up", "fit is a little big...may want to go a size down". WTF.
This is true. But I think it’s because a lot of people really don’t know what size they are. I have a friend who is 5’ 8” and 115lbs. He wears a large t-shirt. He’s a small all day long. The large looks like a tent on him but he likes it.
My wife and I live in southwest Washington state. We play in the cascade mountains. We have been on trail with the outdoorsman lab version for the past three years. We have had no issues and we like them. Of course they are not the best of the best but, they are good enough for us. If mine will ever give up the ghost, I will get a nicer one. But until then........

Disclaimer, I only hammock camp and I live in Hawaii, but I've had this pad for about 2 years and have used it probably close to 100 times. I have had absolutely no problems with it at all. It provides plenty of padding for me, helps with keeping me warm without needing an underquilt, has never punctured and is pretty light weight. I wouldn't use it with a tent, but for a hammock, I love it.
I was a dumb dumb and bought it. I only use it in the warm weather. It is fairly comfortable and light. It just deflates overnight several times. 3 or 4 times a night refill my air pad.
Hope you’re doing well Luke. I did enjoyed your review, but wished I had seen this video before purchasing the ‘Sleepingo’ sleep pad. I’m a side sleeper and it felt like an uneven bubble wrap. I actually thought it lost air, or failed to inflate all the way, but neither were the case. I admit, I was one of those who based the purchase on the number of reviews, second the size and third the cost. Keeping it for my daughter, who still has sleep-overs with her girlfriends. Now researching sleeping cots instead, for my car camping adventures. Drift safe Brutha!
I'm one of those 5 star reviews on Amazon, I think they are incredible for the price, I have 2, have worked great for me, and I have recommended them to several people. I'm 190lb, 6 feet tall and side sleeper and sleep very good in this mat, when I'm on my knees or hands I do feel the ground beneath but sleeping is not an issue. They are very light, just a couple of ounces heavier than the therma rest uber lite large and it seems more durable. I've had it in 40 degree weather and have slept just fine. I do love your videos an reviews but honestly, if you are just going to say they are not good because the reviews seem fishy and you have tried a similar one in the past and have not been impressed you need to improve your reviewing technique. I think this pad is great for beginners or even season backpackers and are great value for the price.
I have this pad and have used it several times. When I bought it, it was around $35. I’m 5’8 and 175. I’m also a side sleeper. The pad has been comfortable enough for me during summer months. I’m sure it won’t insulate in the cold, but I get that. My complaint is that the nylon is very slippery. My sleeping bag slides off as I move around in my sleep.
Jeff is right about the pad being slippery. In the cold months I use a thin foam rubber layer for insulation. The foam rubber would not slip on the Sleepingo pad. I only camped once in 30 degree F. temperature. I sure could have used a foam rubber insulation pad then.
I am WAY too old for a tiny little sleeping pad like that. Outside of those uber expensive sleeping pads, I've been using the inflatable Coleman ones for a while. They're good and won't break the bank. Occasionally go on sale too. They are not for backpacking in the least, but for the type of camping I do, no problems. I have the Thermarest NeoAir Lux. It’s 4” of blissful comfort for side sleepers including those such as myself with severe hip pain problems at night. It’s a hefty 779 grams or 1.72 lbs, but well worth the weight. And, it’s a generously wide and long rectangle from top to bottom. It was $$$, but again, well worth the price.
I've used this pad many times and while it its small and light, I'm a side sleeper so it just doesn't work for me. No complaints on it though because it works as intended. I gave it to a friend and she enjoys it. She puts a Walmart mat under it on colder nights because it doesn't have much of an r value and she has no complaints. I upgraded to a Nemo Tensor wide/tall and I think that's the only inflatable I'll ever need.
I really wish Amazon would stop ranking products based on reviews. In theory it sounds like a good idea but it hasn't worked in practice for years and they just won't let it go.
With these types of pads, I normally take 2 and stack them on top of each other as I am a side sleeper. I think it's worth taking the small additional weight and pack size of a second pad if it means a good sleep.
I'll have to use fakespot in the future, because I was definitely swindled by the reviews of this product. I bought one for my camping trip and boy was it uncomfortable!
Had 2 of these. Both started leaking. Couldn’t find the leaks. Tossed one before I realized it had the LT warranty. Thanks for reminding me to get an exchange on the other one. Using a Nemo Tensor Long Wide now. Excellent
Edit: I registered the pads, then emailed their customer support. They have replied and stated they have supplied a refund. Since refunds aren’t instant, I’ll edit again once it is clear that a refund was provided.
Update: I was notified by Amazon that a refund is in process for 1 of the pads. Replied to CS to see if they want to refund or replace the other pad as they seemed to overlook the fact that 2 were ordered even though details were provided for each order.
I had one. Took it on a long range patrol class.. sucks when you're sleeping on uneven rooty ground in the forest in a bivy. Got the sea to summit ether light insulated long wide and that's amazing.

I was going to say, let’s see if the company asks you to change or delete your review after refund like they did with my sleeping bag review, but seems like you didn’t review and go through the refund process via offer from Sleepingo. I’m still frustrated by this process I’m copying and pasting my other comment so it’s seen:
I got the double sleeping bag rated 32-degrees from this company and was repeatedly asked by them to change my review after they refunded me. I took it on two trips, one to MN for a week where my nights were high 40s/low 50s. When I wrote a review stating, it’s fine for 65-degrees, not 50 and definitely not 32, I got an email saying they would refund me and they were sorry I was disappointed. Yes please, got my refund. After my refund I got two emails being like, did you get your refund and also, “I would really appreciate if you update your original review, or maybe just delete it?” I did not delete it nor change my review, but I can see how this tactic works. And it seems all of the low star reviews who say the same as me barely have any likes so people aren’t seeing the critical ones. This is another problem with Amazon reviews.
Update 2: Sleepingo has given a full refund on both pads. So, I have to give them full credit as well. No cringy requests, just a well written apology.

Not just Amazon reviews. I don't trust reviews anywhere anymore. Even tiny little online shops have inflated BS reviews now. That's why channels like this are so important!
except i weigh 180, ive spent over 100 nights on this pad as a restless side sleeper, my hip doesnt bottom out, and the valve is actually bomber...so can you really trust this review without having tried it yourself? great value : weight ratio. not ideal for car camping.
The biggest reason I think they get high reviews is that people who buy these dont have experience buying the quality ones costing 5x more so they simply dont know how good these can be. They assume this is what good is.

I've had pretty good luck with Klymit inflatable sleep pads. They're way under the $100. plus price point of some other well known brands.
I purchased one of the sleepingo pads but never used it. It is pretty light weight but so are my Klymit pads and pillows. And the Sleepingo is a bit thin in height as stated in the video.
I'm 5'8" and 210 lbs (yes a walking basketball) and I've slept on my side on this without bottoming out. I've used it 4 times so far with no issues. I also like the size. I've decided to attempt a few stealth camps, and this works great. I don't know what It would be like for days in a row. But for 1-2 days I'd use it.
As a side sleeper, I thank you for always mentioning it. Actually, not only do you mention it but now you're gonna suffer on your side while you test it out. Thank you for always doing your due diligence!

Camping toug isn't that great in Germany. It's forbidden in Public places and you got to have an aggreement on private Ground. Other then that, usually only Campsites are allowed, wich aren't exactly like the wilderness thing. Most Campsites are rather funny, they are basically a retirement home, with elders living there in tiny houses.
Get out there and give it a go.

I use this pad for hammock camping in florida. I havent had any issues after 20 trips. Blows up quickly, deflates quickly, hasn't leaked, and fits in my hammock perfectly. Maybe not so great for ground sleeping, but works well for hanging in the trees.
This is why I have it.. “budget price” and for the hammock..
It is okay for sleeping on the ground too.
That's how I use mine and same results. Seems fine for hammock use.

I have this pad. It's okay. It's slippery. There's absolutely ZERO "r" value. Great for summer. Light, and small. Worked well with my cotton rope hammock. Good price.
I have the Outdoorsman Lab version and I even bought another for my son. For camping or hiking from late spring to early fall, it's just fine.
I've found Outdoorsman Lab to be a decent brand for low/mid tier stuff that's not complete garbage. Yeah it's mostly the same stuff made at the same factories all these other brands are selling, but they don't try to oversell it and inflate their prices in the process. I have several of their camping blankets (basically a sleeping bag without a zipper) and they're great for what they are.
This is the first time I’ve seen a review of something I’ve bought that doesn’t reflect what I’ve experienced. I’ve had this same sleeping pad for years now and it’s held up this entire time. I reallly like it for a lightweight option. Works great in a hammock because of the shape of the air pockets that allow it to form around your body. The ONLY complaint I have is that it’s noisy when moving around at night. But I’m really surprised at what you get for the price with this sleeping pad.
Hi, the very reason I'm thinking of getting this type of pad is because it looks a lot more 'flexible' than the self inflating foam types and so should work better in a hammock. so this has been your actual exprience?

I like that it's so versatile in that I can scrunch it up if I want more support under my knees or even sleep on my side because it forms to my body. But just like any sleeping pad in a hammock, it takes some patience to stop it from sliding around underneath you and you really need to play around with the amount of air in the pad (I like it less inflated). Also, I'm 5'10" 170 lbs. so my experience may differ slightly from someone not my size. I hope this helps
I have this pad too, and I like it as well. When I lay down on it, I feel nothing but comfort. Now I do agree that if you sit up while laying on it, you will feel the ground. But it's lightweight, easy to inflate, and easy to deflate and store. I'm glad I bought it.

Great video! I have this pad and some other $40 pads. This one is my go-to if I'm going as light as possible. 14oz is pretty impressive and I haven't had any issues with it as far as leaking, durability, or anything else. Is it the most comfortable? No. If I'm not going ultra light and comfort is the goal, my $40 Trekology kicks the Sleepingos butt. 4 inches thick, 40D nylon, not too loud, the material feels less plasticky, and it is just SUPER comfortable.
I had not heard of those sites to check Amazon reviews, but will definitely have to check that out for future purchase. Purchased reviews are super annoying. Thanks for giving your honest opinion!

I have one of those and I also have a Nemo Tensor insulated. Luke, that pad may have a zero R-value, but in regards to weight, strength and reliability it’s awesome! You just have to realize it’s a summer pad. I’m 5 foot eight at 140 pounds and on my side it doesn’t contact the ground. No hotspots.
I just got done with a 950 mile hike and used this sleeping pad every day. I started the hike at 200 pounds and ended at rought 170 pounds... am a side sleeper and never had my hips touch the ground. The hike was from Springer mountain GA to Luray VA on the AT. Again, I used this pad every day through hot/cold/snow/rain/sleet etc... I love it, never had a problem. But.... it seems manufacturing is hit and miss, I met 3 other hikers that started with the same pad and 2 of 3 of them had it leak in the first week, the 3rd just didn't like it. For the price, it's a great pad in my opinion. I picked it up when preparing for the hike and watched a video of "Dixie" who recommended it. I thought why not, and I wasn't disappointed. It outperformed pads that cost 5 times as much in my experience. It did accumulate some condensation inside as I blew it up every night... but hanging it in the sun during zero days with the valve open would reduce this. You really need to blow it up "tight" though to make it comfy.
I've had the same experience, I like the pad, when it is cold I carry a foam pad to go under it and it seems fine. I'm 6', 200lbs and sleep on my side. I got it a couple years ago for less than $20. It's a great budget item.
never had problem with this for 2 years even in snow. albeit i use a $300 -30c sleeping bag so it compensates for the thin air mat, but i guess you just make do with what works for you

Ditto! I also like Klymit. I bought three pads and 4 pillows. I only carry one but it's nice to know that I have the other two in reserve at home should I ever need to retire the first one. Klymit also made an inflatable 1 person raft which was always sold out every time I checked. I have several 4 person rafts but they are too heavy to pack on an excursion. I hope Klymit still makes their raft because I'm certain that it must be of equal quality.

I‘ve got the mat a few year ago but Branded differently. I‘m Pretty happy with it, it slept really comfy and didn‘t leak although my dog stepped on it a lot. I like it for the weight and I like in for hiking in the Summer!
I’ve seen a couple of backpackers here on YT recommend this pad as a decent budget option. I almost picked one up for my son (14) because he only likes to camp/backpack in the summer and doesn’t need a pad with a high R-value. I’m glad I passed on this one.
If it's only for the summer then this is not bad because a kid doesn't need a lot of thickness in the pad and the R rating doesn't matter in the summer. This is not a bad pad, just a little over rated and not good for cold conditions. Anyways what pad did you went with? I hope you didn't spend 150$+ on a professional pad for a kid lol unless you're rich.
Ice Queen: This IS a decent pad. I've slept well on it. It should take care of your son. It's quite good enough. If someone wants a pad that is 3 or 4 inches thick, it will be more expensive.
I have this pad and used it several times in all seasons, I use it in conjunction with a sleeping bag with a bivy, so I dont lose too much heat from the low R rating. I paid 27 bucks for it a few months back, they had a great coupon on Amazon. Its a good budget pad. Some reviewers who are accustomed to a lot better gear will not like it. Its kind of like going from a Mercedes then renting a Ford, while it does the same thing, its just not the same.

Unfortunately, I bought my stuff in a hurry and tried to get middle of the line/good gear right off the bat because I may have to camp in cold climate and because I need smaller gear to carry in a backpack. I went with a 100$ Hammock Gear Pad that has 4 R Rating and 2.5 Inches and packs really nicely and a Econo Quilt that's not economical at all!!! but it's really good 20c rating and packs small for around 200$. My tent is a Greycliff 2, I can't find ANY reviews on it but it's the best I could find for the price (175$) and very similar to the Lynx 2 but with more mesh.
I bought this for the reason of it being best on Amazon. Being 225lb 6ft side sleeper it was not comfortable so It was a big let down. Now I am still on the search for a good sleeping pad. I did gift this one to someone smaller in which did work out ok. Thanks for the info on amazon reviews It was an eye opener.

Being a non minimalist car camper, the $14.97 walmart queen air mattress will give you a good nights sleep. And yes I do know that TOGR is more for the backpackers. Luke dose an excellent job in helping me hold down the overall vehicle weight of my four wheeler. Also TOGR has saved me time and money in getting the right gear the first time.
So I bought this pad and used it a few times... and I have to say, I like it for ONE purpose: hammock camping. This thing isn't rigid and so it conforms to the shape of my hammock and works great for hammock camping to give some insulation and comfort (though I prob wouldn't use just on its own in temps below 60 or so... (I usually sleep with a 40º bag) lower than that, I'd add an underquilt to the hammock to sleep more comfortably). I went and picked up a Big Agnes Q-Core insulated pad for tent camping as I do tend to be a side-sleeper sometimes. This pad was much thicker and comfier for ground sleeping and had a higher R-Value as well for lower temps. It's good to test out your gear and know which works best for certain applications!
I have this pad and I love it. However, I do use a yoga mat underneath because I mostly use it for camping in cold nights in the 40’s. So for warmth, I use a yoga mat. Also, I sleep on my back in cold weather so I don’t know how comfortable it would be if I was to sleep on my side. Additionally, I’m easily comfortable anywhere. I once slept in my kayak so what may be uncomfortable for someone like my husband, I would be completely ok. My husband would not, in any way, be comfortable in this pad. This pad is good for people who don’t need a lot of comfort.
I've had it a few years and taken it out a few times. I haven't done intense testing or anything but, coming from someone who never owned a sleeping pad and just used a piece of foam: it's significantly more comfortable and easier to carrier. Most comfortable nights sleep I've had in a tent. I cannot compare it to more premium pads. For what I spent I think it was certainly worth the money.
I have a re-label and agree. Pretty decent! Not the best, absolutely not the worst and way better than the old foam pads. Especially considering size, weight and price.
This is what I like about this channel, someone who hasn’t been bought off by anyone or any company but who still gives a fair and reasoned analysis of a product.
i have one these and I honestly have zero problems with it. i dont use it for hiking and camping but I do use it for sleeping outdoor in a tent or even in the car. it blows up nice, it folds up nice. Kind of noisy and if I put it in a sleeping bag it doesn't move.145 pounds, sleep on my back and sometimes my side, no problems at least if this is on a cot. On the ground side sleeping is tough unless you have something really thick.
I have this sleeping pad and I have not had any problems with it. I am also a side sleeper and weigh 175 lbs. I put it in my sleeping bag and I put a sleeping bag liner. The last time I used it in early November in Northern Arizona I slept very well.

I purchased this pad earlier this year. Used it several times camping/backpacking. I loved the price and actually found it fairly comfortable as a side sleeper. Took good care it, always being careful to not puncture it. However it only lasted for five trips. Never fun to wake up in the middle of the night with your hips digging into the ground because all the air has leaked out. Definitely not planning to purchase another, looking a higher quality pad in the near future.

I'm afraid, I have to agree with you. I have owned one for 2 years. And, I have always found it comfortable. I weigh 220 lbs. And am strictly a side sleeper. I simply blow it up firmer. I should note however, that I do prefer a much firmer mattress. I basically only need padding for my hips. So, I might not be the best example.
I do agree with you on the deceptive advertising. Had I known that, at the time, I would have chosen another product.
I bought one of these as a "beginner" pad. It was fine for six nights, then started leaking in the middle of the 7th night. Luckily I had a Thermarest z-lite foam pad under that, otherwise I would have been really cold (the Sleepingo does have *some* R-value because I would feel the cold whenever I slipped off the pad, which was often). The company sent me a replacement, but I went on to buy myself a much thicker/warmer Big Agnes pad. I'd say that this pad is fine for a beginner who's trying to get together a bunch of gear without spending too much: it's cheap and it's light. It can get someone like me out in the woods, and eventually they can upgrade.
Ultralight, comfortable, cheap...pick two.

I’ve used an Intey brand I got off Amazon a year ago for around $30. I’ve used it in a hammock and tent. I’m a side sleeper and I can say it’s pretty ok. I got a sleepingo a couple weeks ago based on reviews and positive videos. I won’t use it by itself, but together with the intey? Chef’s kiss. They are the same size and weight. Worth the extra space they take up in my pack.

I actually received a request once on a negative review I made asking me to edit the review. The company even sent me the preferred wording. As a result, do not trust any reviews and do outside research. This is for Amazon or any other company.

I have this pad. It's very comfortable for me, especially if I put a closed cell foam pad under my upper body. I haven't had any leaks yet. My main complaint is that it won't stay under me. I wake up and it's either by my side or the only part of me is still on it; my head & shoulders. I guess I move around too much during sleep. I thought I could fix it by, putting it inside my sleeping bag. That finally helped. It's really good for sleeping in my car too.

For $40 I dig this pad quite a bit. I agree they are way overzealous with their marketing, but that aside its well worth the $40. I bring my shortened Thermarest closed foam pad when hiking and I just throw this in the pack as a bonus. On top of a foam pad its total luxury for cheap, doubles my R value and adds some air cushion, even better in a hammock. That aside and the reviews aside, its the best selling pad because its 40 bucks, its that simple. And if you trash it you get a new one. My only con is its loud as hell.
Thanks for the review! I will be passing on this sleeping pad for two reasons - I am 6’6” and weigh 210 pounds. I have all my gear picked out except for the sleeping pad. I am concerned about weight (as any backpacker should be). I am also concerned about comfort. My budget for a pad is $50-150.

I know this is an older video-- algorithm is weird-- thanks for sharing and discussing the deception. I agree that alone should be concerning and a reason to avoid them. You said at one point side sleepers need 3in minimum, I thru-hiked AT last year and CDT this year (daily vlogs from each) and I have always slept on a 2.5in mat very comfortably as a side sleeper. Just a heads up for future reference. Love the channel, been checking it off and on for a while now!
I have not used this yet but purchased it along with a bunch of other gear to start Motorcycle camping... Then I searched reviews on YT and found yours which I was happy to see as I started following your channel a few months ago :).
I purchased this without too much worry due to the fact that I will be using it on a small cot so will not be directly on the ground. I am just getting too old for that. Not intentional, but my cot, this pad and my sleeping bag (also one you have reviewed) are all some shade of green.
I am a little conflicted as I almost think it should go back on principle, but on the other hand, for the price, it is probably good enough for my needs, and because I will not be directly on the ground. Edit: I went to return it on Amazon and it is non returnable due to hazmat regulations??? That is not reassuring. Looked at other brands return eligibility (Exped for example) and did not see the same warning.
I also bought a Lone Rider Moto tent... I was leaning strongly towards getting one before I found your review, but it helped seal the deal (got it on Black Friday, so saved a bit on it at least). Fits my bike well of course, but I also wanted a tent I can stand in. Can't wait for slightly warmer temps to start my weekend adventures!
I had two outdoorsman labs, they both started leaking about 3 years after I bought them. One was barely ever used, and the other was used almost 1-2x weekly. I never could find the leaks, I think it was near the valve. There is no lifetime warranty with them.
I've had one of the other labels. Used it in a pinch and it was minimal. It lives in my emergency pack if I need to insulate from cold ground.
Sleepingo's compact pad offers great support and easy deflation, fitting backpacking needs. The slippery surface causes slight slippage in the sleeping bag. Noisy cells affect sleep, lowering the rating.
I've been using this for 3 years. Obviously not designed for winter. I have no problems with it. I am a side sleeper and haven't had any issues. They are now under $30. Its a good buy for a casual.
Bought 2 in 08/2018 , used both at least 30 trips and have had zero problems with them.
All the biggest brand are going away from amazon because of the reliability of the reviews, amazon should take more seriously fakes reviews. Great video over all, i was looking for a cheap sliping pad and now im even more confused :D
I bought this in January of 2022 and have taken it on several camping trips! It is great for a budget pad!! Budget being the key word. If you can't afford a better pad , like me, then this will do fine!! Have used it on several camping trips this year with no issues.

Love these reviews and agree with the piece regarding bogus Amazon reviews. That said there are some elements of this review that just aren't right. I own this mat, I'm 6'1, 200 lbs., and a side sleeper and this mat works fine for me - never bottomed out. I bought this item based on reviews from RUclipsrs who are side sleepers, in particular Homemade Wunderlust (Dixie) , a through camper (AT, PCT, CDT) who did a video on budget gear and tested it on 4 day backpacking trip. The Sleepingo was her favorite piece of gear. Like the OutdoorReviewGuy I dislike false marketing claims made by companies for the sake of making a buck but I'm equally put off by reviewers who, for whatever reason, misrepresent elements of the product they're reviewing.
I use the Teton XXL Camp Pad...It's 9 lbs., every bit of 82" long, 38" wide and a Full 2 1/2" thick all the way around...It cost $100...Is Seriously water repellant with a canvas cover and tie loops at each corner for a cot...I'd rather spend 2x as much and carry an extra 8 pounds for added comfort and protection...And I weigh 280 lbs!!!
I prefer to carry my bed with me. 130 lbs. Comfort is great. Decided to bring the house too. Its a great shelter camping 👍

I bought two of these one year ago. It is better than my cheep 1/3 in pad. I'm about 185lbs and don't sleep very well while camping and tend to sleep on my side. It seems to work fine for my kids, but I think I need something thicker or better for side sleepers. I put a blanket over it and then my sleeping bag to try and keep warmer.

I'm actually considering something like this. Especially if there may be others that are slightly cheaper. For someone who uses an unfolded sleeping bag as a sleeping pad and enjoys the hard floor, this seems alright.

I'm just getting my gear and "window shop" with Amazon a lot. When I come across an item that I may consider, I check out the reviews.....I should say I check out the 1-2 star negative reviews or as I feel, the REAL REVIEWS and am amazed at the total opposite of comments listed the "good reviews"....usually specifying a problem that the 4-5 star reviews don't even mention....everything from gas stoves to tents and backpacks. The process leaves me questioning the buying online issue altogether.
I'm a side sleeper..and I have this pad..I weigh 215 lbs. So far I really like this pad.
My 11 year old son, whom I bought one of these for this summer, would rate it a 3 out of 5. He says it is easy to slide off of if not on level ground. I will definitely have to upgrade as he gets into his teen years. For now, it works though.
You could try those rug anti slides to stop the sliding and make it work for now.
I just bought one and actually returned it today. They have an orange and blue version that is a different style and is much better than the green one
Most reviews on any website are ridiculous. I was looking recently for hiking attire...reviews were all over the map. For one article of clothing, reviews were "fits true to size", "fit is small...get a size up", "fit is a little big...may want to go a size down". WTF.
This is true. But I think it’s because a lot of people really don’t know what size they are. I have a friend who is 5’ 8” and 115lbs. He wears a large t-shirt. He’s a small all day long. The large looks like a tent on him but he likes it.
My wife and I live in southwest Washington state. We play in the cascade mountains. We have been on trail with the outdoorsman lab version for the past three years. We have had no issues and we like them. Of course they are not the best of the best but, they are good enough for us. If mine will ever give up the ghost, I will get a nicer one. But until then........

Disclaimer, I only hammock camp and I live in Hawaii, but I've had this pad for about 2 years and have used it probably close to 100 times. I have had absolutely no problems with it at all. It provides plenty of padding for me, helps with keeping me warm without needing an underquilt, has never punctured and is pretty light weight. I wouldn't use it with a tent, but for a hammock, I love it.
I was a dumb dumb and bought it. I only use it in the warm weather. It is fairly comfortable and light. It just deflates overnight several times. 3 or 4 times a night refill my air pad.
Hope you’re doing well Luke. I did enjoyed your review, but wished I had seen this video before purchasing the ‘Sleepingo’ sleep pad. I’m a side sleeper and it felt like an uneven bubble wrap. I actually thought it lost air, or failed to inflate all the way, but neither were the case. I admit, I was one of those who based the purchase on the number of reviews, second the size and third the cost. Keeping it for my daughter, who still has sleep-overs with her girlfriends. Now researching sleeping cots instead, for my car camping adventures. Drift safe Brutha!

I'm one of those 5 star reviews on Amazon, I think they are incredible for the price, I have 2, have worked great for me, and I have recommended them to several people. I'm 190lb, 6 feet tall and side sleeper and sleep very good in this mat, when I'm on my knees or hands I do feel the ground beneath but sleeping is not an issue. They are very light, just a couple of ounces heavier than the therma rest uber lite large and it seems more durable. I've had it in 40 degree weather and have slept just fine.
I do love your videos an reviews but honestly, if you are just going to say they are not good because the reviews seem fishy and you have tried a similar one in the past and have not been impressed you need to improve your reviewing technique. I think this pad is great for beginners or even season backpackers and are great value for the price.

I have this pad and have used it several times. When I bought it, it was around $35. I’m 5’8 and 175. I’m also a side sleeper. The pad has been comfortable enough for me during summer months. I’m sure it won’t insulate in the cold, but I get that. My complaint is that the nylon is very slippery. My sleeping bag slides off as I move around in my sleep.
Jeff is right about the pad being slippery. In the cold months I use a thin foam rubber layer for insulation. The foam rubber would not slip on the Sleepingo pad.
I only camped once in 30 degree F. temperature. I sure could have used a foam rubber insulation pad then.
I am WAY too old for a tiny little sleeping pad like that. Outside of those uber expensive sleeping pads, I've been using the inflatable Coleman ones for a while. They're good and won't break the bank. Occasionally go on sale too. They are not for backpacking in the least, but for the type of camping I do, no problems.

I have the Thermarest NeoAir Lux. It’s 4” of blissful comfort for side sleepers including those such as myself with severe hip pain problems at night. It’s a hefty 779 grams or 1.72 lbs, but well worth the weight. And, it’s a generously wide and long rectangle from top to bottom. It was $$$, but again, well worth the price.

I've used this pad many times and while it its small and light, I'm a side sleeper so it just doesn't work for me. No complaints on it though because it works as intended. I gave it to a friend and she enjoys it. She puts a Walmart mat under it on colder nights because it doesn't have much of an r value and she has no complaints. I upgraded to a Nemo Tensor wide/tall and I think that's the only inflatable I'll ever need.
I really wish Amazon would stop ranking products based on reviews. In theory it sounds like a good idea but it hasn't worked in practice for years and they just won't let it go.
With these types of pads, I normally take 2 and stack them on top of each other as I am a side sleeper. I think it's worth taking the small additional weight and pack size of a second pad if it means a good sleep.
I'll have to use fakespot in the future, because I was definitely swindled by the reviews of this product. I bought one for my camping trip and boy was it uncomfortable!
