Great catch - Smoked King fish is really nice.
If you are going to release big fish, you can't drag and drop them onto the steel deck of your Boat, which would have caused internal damage.

Great attitude, doing everything to save the fish!
I wish here in Portugal we could catch a beast like that, the sea bass are just as big as they are and they already put up a great fight.
I also created a channel recently about spinning fishing in Portugal, @ICPesca, if you're curious, take a look heheh but the biggest example is around 6kg...nothing compared to your fishing. Continuation and embrace from Portugal
