Been gagging to see a real "Clipper" Have stared at the Comet ad in my 1937 MAN for a long time... our Uncle, Charlie Grant was the Editor 1937 to 1944. Love the transparent covering and boy, what a graceful flyer. Great camera work as well!
What a terrific big and slow flier that plane is. I'd like one like that to put in lights and use it for night flying. The most graceful flight characteristics I have seen.
Ha, l did that once in the dark with full size quaker just attached some chemical lights on the wing and tail flew it over a main hiway, funny how some cars slowed down even pulled over😆
That's Hobby King transparent there. Would have cost me a fortune to cover it with Ultrakote, and the HK film is a better product! Only nine bucks for a 5-meter roll... can't beat that.
Beautiful, models that size will fly thierselfs, had full size quaker 30 4stroker, the damn thing would fly hands off....i could even fly it into the wind and it would just sit thier😎too bad you didn't have any trexlers for that old time look
Great model that's what's R/c flyings is about and building . Not ordering it on line to day and flying it tomorrow. That's not modeling. Realy appreciate your RUclips clip WELL DONE .
What is going on with the right side elevator (does it have one) as it doesn't appear to move. Look at elevator after touch-and-go landings after 1:55, 3:15, 5:40. Almost identical wing and stabiliser/rudder profile to the Carl Goldberg 118" Valkyrie, but with an easier build. Maybe Carl decided it took too long to build the Valkyrie.
❤️ John Pond built one decades ago with the same color scheme and flew it in Texaco. He discovered that, at 10🦶🏻, the wing planform was the same as the Valkyrie. You should let it glide. Flying like a Back & Forth ARF is out of character. 😂
@vin a Well it was "like" they were doing the same thing "OMG" Yes, I have so many Old Timers, most are stored in a barn. I also have an ATP with several type ratings and an Old Timer oriented website. Check it out and leave a comment: www.thebuildingboard.com
I love the oldtimers and yours is wonderful. Also, a most beautiful flying site with those snow covered peaks in the background. Do you know if the plan in this 120" size is available somewhere or did they do a onetime enlargement? I currently am flying a 114" Quaker mostly at Weaver Field in Othello, WA. Would love to see this Clipper fly at the June Fly-in.
Brilliant, my type of plane. So graceful and elegant.
Great stuff, love the old school aircraft!
i flew rc for yrs.always loved the old timers.thank you.larry
That 4 stroke sounds perfect with that model! So soothing!!!!
Love the walking pace touch & gos. Beautiful scenery, majestic airplane, plenty of time and fuel.
Can heaven be much better?
I like it so much! Every model should fly like this, even scale ones.
Beautiful machine! I thought my Miss America was large at 84 inches. Just love the way the old timers fly, so majestic.

So graceful and beautiful :-)
...majestic...you can ”feel” the air...wonderful....and not a drone whipping, wining and trashing...lovely...
Yes I agree, flying on the wind gracefully and not through it ! sheer flying poetry.
Muito bom....
Parece muito bem construído..!
Diversão garantida...

You'd have to TRY to crash that! Relaxing I bet...
I noticed only the left elevator is operating during flight. Is this by design?
Yes the horizontal tail only has the one elevator.
😍💖😍
Will you share the C.G. info?
Shame about the struts across the cab, otherwise a good design.
I think its nice.
