  • In this video I traveled to Logandale Nevada to ride the Jackrabbit trail system. Logandale is an easy, 1 hour drive north of Las Vegas. I went to Logandale to ride several blue/moderate MTB trails and after I was finished I still had some battery left on my Luna Cycle X1 Enduro mountain bike. So I decided to give the Jackrabbit Loop Trail (green/easy trail) a try and boy was I surprised! It turned out to be one of the fastest and funnest ground-level trails I have ridden in a long time. I liked it so much the first run, that I launched the drone and went around a second time to make this short video.
SOMETHING TO APPEAL TO EVERY RIDER:
This is a great trail for beginners to learn to practice many basic mountain bike riding skills. The trail is very well built. As you can see in the video the trail is tightly packed and rock free. Overall its a really fun, chill, flowy trail that has something to appeal to every rider; Wide open desert, badland, little/small jumps, berms and drops. A rider can go as fast as they want or just cruise around and enjoy the day and trail.
PARKING TIP: The trail also starts and ends very close to HWY 169 (there is dirt parking area across HWY 169 and Waterline Road where I parked to ride this trail. I parked in the same spot to ride several blue trails before I shot this video (video coming soon).
NOTE: I will be posting a video on the Jackrabbit blue trails in the weeks to come.
If you have questions about this trip/ride please feel free to ask them in the comments.

FOR VIDEO NERDS: During this ride I tested putting the Insta360 One R action camera on my chest in manual mode. The white balance was off and as much as I tried to correct it in post production it still has a cool green tint to the color which looks awful in this video. I'm now switched back to auto but I'm going to record in log mode (flat color panel) and then adjust in post.

THE BIKE RIDEZ STORY & MISSION :
We are e-bike explorers! This channel is continuing to evolve. The current focus is the scenic beauty and peaceful landscape of the trails we ride, not the actual mountain bike riding or e-bikes we are ridding. Although we thoroughly love riding our eMTBs for exercise and adventure, bike riding is our primary form of meditation and stress relief. Our bike rides allow for a few hours without our phones where we can stay focused on being in the moment. Best of all we get to share with you some of the best and most spectacular scenic bike trails in the United States. At BikeRidez, it's not always about the ride, it's about the view!

Your videos are becoming my favorites! You totally get why people watch mountain bike videos. Most of us are looking for trails we want to ride. We want to know the details. How long, how hard, where's the trailhead, what are the highlights. You answer all those questions. I want to see all the techy spots and if a rider crashes I definitely want to see that.....but usually others edit out the stumbles. And your drone shots!! I'm thinking about buying one and learning how to use it just to watch myself. Anyway, I'm a fan. Don't tire of making these!

I went back to Logandale this fall to shoot more video of some other trails which were more difficult. What I found is that the best trail is the Jackrabbit Loop Trail and there are several other green trails in this area that are a lot of fun. Be sure to check it them out if you ever go back!

@@BikeRidez Oh yeah I'll be back! My parents have a place in St.G and I use it a lot in the winter as an escape from Alaska. First time riding Vegas trails on this last trip, they were fantastic, thanks for the beta!

Nice Drone footage. Approximately how long is the drive from Green Valley to this trail?

I live in Henderson too and it took about 1 hour to drive out there on a weekend.
