This is one of those addons that are really worth buying lol this can save SO MUCH time
The further I looked into the video the more blown away I was, that is a different level of small details to this kind of geometry nodes driven addon.

I'll probably get it as well. If you're into animating cars, you should get RBC as well, super easy to auto-rig cars and you can drive them in realtime with a keyboard or controller. Super easy to make animations that way.

As a creator who uses Citys often I cannot thank you enough. I have tested every Method and every Addon there is in City Generation and this is the most convenient, best looking option. Thank you man!
Is is usable for you? With just a couple of buildings everything in Blender slows down for me.... I am using an i9, 3070 GPU and 32 gbRAM

It all looks wonderful, it is a good start for this addon. My recommendation regarding the asphalt and grated textures is to make them a bit dirtier, they look very clean with respect to the buildings. Even though I don't know if the materials can be altered. Great job anyway, I'll keep an eye out for updates

It looks awesome. i have been looking for something just like this. that is to say highly flexible and adjustable and that i can introduce my own assets, newer style building, easy to create - so i can mostly concentrate on animation.

Damn, fine work. Usually geo nodes buildings are to "grid" looking and lack variation, but these look great
definitely best city generator possible in Blender
This is a great addon, but the main problem for these city generators is the rely solely on bland and dull orthogonal american cities with repeatable patterns. How about european cities or old english towns, villages or historical places? That would be the real deal.

You can simply go to the road material on the object and change it.
@@cinematiccookie another question, how do we make the instances real in this? To solidify everything as their own mesh? “Convert to mesh” just deletes everything

Darned be ye, I need to hold back on expenses until the next paycheck... But you sure don't make that easy for me!
I'll get it as soon as I can as my creativity is set off rolling like a snowball down a hill. I want to put grease pencil animations throughout these streets, doing whacky things. And with Grease Pencil getting its own rework in coming updates. Maybe we'll see them in reflections as well? Maybe rain covered streets and puddles... And... Yeah. My mind is very much racing.
Btw. Speaking of hills. Does this add-on handle non-flat ground planes?

How much control do we have over the road markings? In the United States, the standard is to have a double yellow line as the center divider on the road, with the individual lanes separated by broken/dashed white lines. So each road can have both yellow AND white lines. Is that currently possible with City Generator?
Is it possible to apply the buildings and transform them into a mesh? I may be asking too much here, but if we can modify them from the inside after they're setup, that would be wild.
