My reaction and review to Better Call Saul Season 6 Episode 3 called Rock and Hard Place. I hope you'll enjoy! Кино
What an absolutely devastating finale to this episode... Very sad about the death of Nacho and simultaniously it's all the more interesting to see whether that will drastically speed up the process of getting to the Breaking Bad and future timeline. Hope you all enjoyed my reaction! Don't forget to subscribe as I'll be reacting to new episodes for Better Call Saul every week! Full length versions are uploaded to Patreon right after I record them! Thanks for watching :)
Remember on breaking bad when gus wants Mike to take Jessie under his wing? And Jessie says “If I’m the guy” and Mike interrupts with “you are NOT the guy, I had a guy but now I don’t”
Nacho was that guy. Mind blowing
Nacho was simply supposed to stay zip tied say who he was working for and try to run away as Victor shot him in the back of the head. That was Gus’s plan but when nacho looked in the garbage can and saw the glass that Gus had broke the day before he came up with his own plan
Yeah he went out in his own way. I didn't realize it in the reaction itself but did so later. I really like the thought of that in hindsight! Also crazy once again how they tied that in with Gus breaking the glass in last episode. So well done honestly.
@@RobinoyoReacts also in his conversation with the don eladio he was telling him how he wanted to be in charge and control things other than people always controlling him. this whole show hes been doing things for others and nothing for himself
tbh if i was in nacho's position and heard that viktor would waste me, i would hands down do exactly what nacho did in this episode, go in my own way while saying a big f you to everyone.
I didn't even put together that was where the glass came from. I love that he sold this so much harder, not for Gus but for his father. The admission about the sugar pills and pointing out that Gus saved Hector really helped sell that Nacho acted alone. Hector won't trust Gus, but Nacho made it so without real solid evidence it's impossible for the Salamancas to act against Gus, which is all he had to do to save his father's life.
RIP to the GOAT. That was a fitting finish to an amazing character. The last scene gave me goosebumps
I immediately lost all hope for Nacho's survival when he was the only person in that final scene without BB plot armor.
Don’t worry, we all know most of those people will be off by a guy with the biggest plot armor, the great Heisenberg.
This episode left me so shocked, even though i felt the death flags from the phonecall. The last scene is so good, the way Bolsa and the Salamancas were standing there in the desert, Nacho's performance takes me away too. The dust still needs to settle for this episode, but I feel like its going to be one of my, if not my all time favourite episodes of either BB or BCS.
I feel like people may feel like the B plot takes away from this episode, but personally I love that the scenes on the Jimmy side gave us some time to breathe and reflect. For me, an episode like Ozymandias was almost too packed with insane events, and didn't give you enough time to process anything.
also michael mando's acting in this episode was sooo good
When Mike said “Do it.” I was thinking that he was talking about Nacho shooting Bolsa, and that was his own motive. Because he realized if there was a full gunfight, he could potentially snipe all of the men there, ultimately getting him (and his family) out of the drug game and saving a lot of future lives. I can’t imagine what that AU would be like had that happened
The build up, the plot line, suspense, surprise. It was perfection. What a promising start of a final season of one of the greatest shows by the most unique writers.
Masterclass performance by Michael Mando
Haha the foreshadowing of the into “how are they going to wrap things up so quickly” famous last words.
The fact better call saul is a prequel limits its story, but it only works as a prequel, because the crazy part is how this complicated and beautiful story unfolds and we have no idea how it ends even though we know the future. Also hector truly believing that gus didnt do it might set Lalo up to survive! Since he basically has to die since we know gus wins, but if he pursues smth different he can survive.
I really thought Nacho and Lalo would kill each other. Now I have no idea what happens to Lalo.
@@sallyatticum i think , nacho dies as shown here , gus or mike kill lalo this season and kim goes to jail for all the bull*hit she and saul are doing.
@@acousticwolf5985 Could be. I think Mike killing Lalo would be the most satisfying.
I think they are doing a Macbeth scenario with Kim and Jimmy, where they take down several law firms and become increasingly paranoid (as we see with Gene already) and Kim can't live with what she's done. Now what she does, I don't know. In the play, she encourages Macbeth to kill people and then descends into madness before she dies offstage, possibly by suicide. And Macbeth is killed by Macduff. If Howard is Macduff, he eventually takes down "Gene." That's kind of what I want to see happen. Kim goes to prison and Howard does something to Gene. Would prison be enough for Jimmy/Saul/Gene? Maybe. We'll see where this season goes.
Edit *This may already be starting, with the belief that she had some responsibility for letting Lalo go, resulting in all those deaths.
@@acousticwolf5985 I think kim is foreshadowed to got to jail, but she might do the opposite. She is at a point where she is a bad ass bitch
Whoa I just noticed that the piece of glass in the intro it's the one Nacho had in his hand! And I guess the blue flower is supposed to represent him?
And the rain... Man the intro gets a full new meaning after watching this episode
Nacho was surrounded by characters who are all dead by the end of BB. Hell of a scene.
I very much appreciate that this shoW did not fake us out. In hindsight, there wasn’t a way for Nacho to get out of the situation that he was in without stepping on what’s been established. They tackled it head on. RIP to one of my favorite characters in this universe.
I can’t remember exactly who said it but if I remember correctly…it was said that Gus’ character arc in BCS is that by the end he would’ve toned down his more reckless side.
I’m guessing for this season Mike plays a big part in helping Gus suppress that urge to use force to resolve situations.
Mike has tried TWICE to convince Gus NOT to go down the road of using threats to FAMILY members…from Werner’s Wife and the other for Nacho’s Dad. Both times he failed to convince Gus.
Why does Mike try to convince Gus?
Remember when Hector threatened Mike’s family? Mike literally went to Assassinate him like 3 episodes later until Gus intervened.
Mike knows that threatening someones family is a DANGEROUS GAME. You put the other guy on the offensive if you threaten loved ones.
So Mike tries to temper Gus’ reckless urges in using fear as a great motivator (wink wink).
I’m guessing Mike finally convinces Gus to use persuasion INSTEAD of threats of violence somewhere vital in S6. Gus, with the help of Mike use this tactic on Walter until Mike is shot in the stomach in Late S4 of BrBa…he is then unable to advise Gus…Gus reverts back to using threats to loved ones…Gus threatens Walters family in the desert which leads to Walter going on the offensive and leads to Gus’ death.
These writers man…..so damn good
On another note…this episode takes place in 2005 if I remember correctly which means they still have 3 years to cover until they reach BrBa.
ALL I WANT THIS SEASON IS TO SEE ALL THE SALAMANCA’S IN ONE FRAME. They are ALL alive until breaking bad. In 5x09 Lalo tells hector that Tuco only has 11 months until he’s let out of prison. So I’m hoping there is a meeting between all the Salamanca members…there just has to be.
Also on another note…idk how it didn’t even occur to me but Nacho has LITERALLY tried to kill EVERY single Salamanca and FAILED😂. He tried to get Tuco killed…then he went after Hector - then Lalo - then the Twins last episode😂
he hurt every Salamanca tho, especially Hector who was the one that put his father in danger.
Mike was alive when Gus threatened Walter's family, he even was in that scene. Mike died in early season 5. But your point still stands. Gus just ignored Mike's advise there because of how much trouble Walter was causing him.
@@patoman_ no he was not there, Mike was with the doctor after they killed the cartel, that's what he meant with "was shot in the stomach".
@@mario_gabriel oh shit you right, my bad
Great insights.
Every time I finish an episode I go watch your reaction, you're awesome and positive. Keep it up dude :)
"Did they want him to shoot Bolsa?"
Most likely Mike had a talk with Natcho how to set him up to go out on his own terms and shoot himself.
He probably told Nacho about the glass in the trash bit after telling him he was gonna be zip-tied. Mike didn't look surprised when Nacho broke free and I doubt he had any intention of letting Gus go through with the plan where Victor shoots him in the back, because Victor would probably go for shots that cause a slow, painful death.
I though the plan was that Mike would kill him in one shot with the sniper before anyone could react, Mike look kinda surprised when he kill himself i guess?... but your theory makes sense too
@@fakub2026 He didn't look surprised at all.
When he said "do it" he wanted Nacho to kill himself so he didn't have to shoot.
@@petresko1041 Yeah you are right, i was so tense in the scene that i didn't notice lol had to watch that part again
@@petresko1041 wait so that wasn’t mike wanting bolsa to die?
@@kmouton1456 No? Bolsa has little relevancy here. Nacho kills Bolsa and the Salamancas would try to wound Nacho in stead of kill him outright so they can torture him.
Gus wouldn't stop that from happening because Nacho insulted him and because his name was mostly cleared from the assassination.
Like I said, Mike wants Nacho to kill himself so that he can go out on his own terms.
Rip nacho
Dude I forgot to breathe so many times during this episode, what a masterpiece in so many aspects. This is just episode 3 as well!
Also, I wonder if it's worth just skipping the trailers? I like going into these things blind cause the trailers while just a snippet, sometimes give you too much context that you're waiting to see play out
Was looking for bcs reactions to this episode and really enjoyed your reactions and commentary
Keep it up

Man I just watched the episode, and I screamed to the screen, I loved Nacho, may he rest in peace!
oh shit i didn't know you were doing better call saul reactions. looking forward to seeing what you think of this season. loving it so far. it's insane to me how they've written themselves into a corner with breaking bad, but they keep finding perfect solutions for that
sighs yea nacho did not deserve that.....but he went out like a G. That monologue he did imo is the best monologue in BCS, even better than the one in Chicanery. Also, the name of this episode, "rock and hard place" reminded me of UC2 where the chapter was called a rock and a hard place, similar parallels where nate is beat up in the train and nacho hiding in the train, thought that was cool. Also, we didn't even see Lalo this episode....what's he up to mar? what's he doing? XP
Idk, I'm kinda nervous about Lalo's whereabouts now too. I feel like when he shows up again he'll do so with a bang.
THIS EPISODE WAS MIND BLOWING!
Oh shit robin I didnt know you were into this! Awesome!!
I've been into this since 2011, Breaking Bad and BCS have always been my favorite shows 😂
Nacho's trip to Belize was shocking. I hope he rest peacefully there.
Yeah man he sure pulled an Old Yeller on himself
I was just thinking I wonder how nacho will get of this until I realised he wasn’t gonna get out.
i think the only way to explain the “it wasn’t me it was ignacio” line is it jimmy decides to rat on lalos organization, and he thinks lalo is coming after him because of that… this could set up a crazy situation where jimmy is ratting on lalo while working for lalo if lalo decides to meet up with jimmy later on
Was expecting a Wednesday drop but ay the sooner the better
Wasn't gonna let you all wait for this one haha
Attack on Titan is having an impact on you. You were expecting this to end on some sort of cliffhanger. 🤣
any little fault by gustavo it means WAR with cartel and by meaning war i mean also including DEA that why gus will stay safe and not suspected in cartel , nacho death was 100% for me the question is how he will die! and the way that he died saved his dead and of middle of that he died like that i PUT YOU IN THAT CHAIR!!! , THINKING OF ME!!! duude that scene was outlaw! perfect death ever! cause he know he will do it to save his dad there is not other solution... once again the teaser in beginning of EP blue flower and the rain hit the glass it means BloodRain death of nacho will be BLOODY :) this episode is !!! VINCE GILLIGAN is genius ! as always and for the eternity! only trust that man! the best death that nacho can get he got it there ther is no better then that!
when you need a tv show you dont need to bring any one just ... Better Call VinceGilligan you will se best of all time stuff .. TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT! tv show , spin off préquel what ever man just keep bringing me that!
Hmm, maybe Nacho is not really that yet and he will inherit titan powers in the next episode!
Your accent sounds dutch, Am I correct?
You are correct ;)

I'm just disappointed by the effect when nacho shot himself, it looks like a bad editing on after effect 😂
