I remember being in HS watching March madness and thinking this dude was going to prove everyone wrong in the NBA, it was only a matter of time. I'm from NY and one day I was sitting at home and threw the Knicks game on and they happened to be playing Golden State and that's when curry dropped 54 points in ridiculous fashion. Right there is when I knew curry was about to get the attention he deserved. It's cool to see where he started and where he is now. Hard work & Heart will take you anywhere.

Basically this shows that not all scouting is equal. They overlooked the IT factor and now every team in the NBA wished they had Steph but he's gonna be a GSW lifer ;)
hindsight is 20/20. if there are 100 prospects that are built exactly like steph with the same exact physical attributes and skillset how many do you think will actually become steph curry today? not that many. you'd be crazy to even think about taking curry over blake or tyreke 10 years ago.
Scouting and predicting professional success is exceedingly difficult. College basketball and NBA basketball are basically different sports and unless someone plays consistently against NBA competition throughout a 82 games long season there is very little to work with that allows you to predict how a player does at the next level.
Throughout his whole bball life, he had to prove everybody wrong. Now he's a legend and a guaranteed HOF. Steph is the true underdog. He was like that stock in the stock market no one wanted to touch. So for those who took a chance in him. Good for you!!!
It’s insane to think how close his career was to being derailed because of his ankles, I remember watching him and thinking “he really could be something but his ankles are going to be the end of him” so glad it didn’t go down that way! We really lucked out!

Davidson beat Loyola by a final score of 78 - 48, yet he made it sound like them holding Stephen Curry to zero points was an NCAA history making accomplishment. Stephen Curry constantly getting double-teamed, left other players on Davidson wide open time so many times.

The purpose of my comment was to point out how Curry always has been doubted, "too small", "too skinny". A sports anchor who are unaware of how to pronounce the name of a player who finished second in the ROY race scoring 17.5 points on efficient shooting as a second option, is horrendeous considering it's Steph's third year in the league. Rather than the sports anchor being ignorant, he could simply be another disbeliever of Steph (as Curry hadn't redeemed himseld already) Time and time again this is what Steph have had to put up with and it would continue for a while after this occurence. Or the sports anchor just might have commited a mistake...
He was already good at 3 point shooting but after his ankle injuries he became better. This video shown that his practice sessions while recuperating made him 100% better 3pointer. It was a blessing in disguise.

Gonna be real, I only started to watch basketball after seeing a compilation of Steph curry’s plays. The way in which he plays the game is so so beautiful and captivating. I couldn’t help but want to see more!! It’s crazy tbh. Now Ik so many other players and teams and it’s so fun. People, like Steph, that can take something and make it their own, no matter the profession, are hands down admirable. And they should be acknowledged for it. Lots of respect, he’s one heck of a guy.

I was a huge basketball fan of the 90's. It was the era of flash, dunks and flare. The 80's was the era of brute force and domination. Now that I'm getting back into basketball again it's awesome to see someone like Curry change the game again. It's been a long time coming. After decades of the game being more about the dunk and the short shot, it's nice to see the game bring back the long shot, space and pace. 3 pointers in the 90's seemed to be a novelty. Very few people cared about it, unless it was in some desperate attempt to get the game winning shot. Of course basketball players of the 90's and 00's were going to doubt Curry because Curry was playing a different game than them. These guys are use to seeing the majority of the game in the paint and here comes this little guy and he's pushing the game out further. To a guy like Barkley, Curry made no sense to him. Curry took everything these 90's guys thought basketball was and changed it. People stuck in their ways hate change because it doesn't make sense to them. Just like if a team from the 80's was put into the 2018-2019 season they would probably all foul out. You can't expect people to completely change how they play or what they know. It's taking away everything they worked towards their whole lives. Change falls on the younger kids and Curry did that.

For his size and position Curry is an unbelievable rebounder. Anyone who doesn't know that just hasn't watched him play.
Curry does not need to rebound. A player like him can play defense by being an effective decoy or a steal maker.

It’s insane to think how close his career was to being derailed because of his ankles, I remember watching him and thinking “he really could be something but his ankles are going to be the end of him” so glad it didn’t go down that way! We really lucked out!

He was already good at 3 point shooting but after his ankle injuries he became better. This video shown that his practice sessions while recuperating made him 100% better 3pointer. It was a blessing in disguise.

Almost like a new breed or a hybrid. I love seeing foreign players who play center -- especially when they can shoot and spread the floor.

Gonna be real, I only started to watch basketball after seeing a compilation of Steph curry’s plays.
The way in which he plays the game is so so beautiful and captivating. I couldn’t help but want to see more!! It’s crazy tbh.
Now Ik so many other players and teams and it’s so fun.

I was a huge basketball fan of the 90's. It was the era of flash, dunks and flare. The 80's was the era of brute force and domination. Now that I'm getting back into basketball again it's awesome to see someone like Curry change the game again. It's been a long time coming. After decades of the game being more about the dunk and the short shot, it's nice to see the game bring back the long shot, space and pace. 3 pointers in the 90's seemed to be a novelty. Very few people cared about it, unless it was in some desperate attempt to get the game winning shot.
Of course basketball players of the 90's and 00's were going to doubt Curry because Curry was playing a different game than them. These guys are use to seeing the majority of the game in the paint and here comes this little guy and he's pushing the game out further. To a guy like Barkley, Curry made no sense to him. Curry took everything these 90's guys thought basketball was and changed it. People stuck in their ways hate change because it doesn't make sense to them. Just like if a team from the 80's was put into the 2018-2019 season they would probably all foul out. You can't expect people to completely change how they play or what they know. It's taking away everything they worked towards their whole lives. Change falls on the younger kids and Curry did that.
