Outline the general face shape. After that, draw a line through the eyes and evaluate if there is more mass above or below it. Then 'push' more mass to the area that is more dominant, to emphasize it. ⁠

Alternatively, in the case of rounder heads, pushing the mass inwards from above and below and outwards on the sides, can emphasize that type of face shape. ⁠
