i agree with him. generally the best demos are those with no talkinga and people showing the sound module. which is also the fewest. i really dont care how many oscs are where, it depends on how it sounds.
This series of demos on Roland's Boutique synths is the best I've come across so far. I've recently picked up the JX-03 as my first real hardware synth. I foresee quite a few wee hours of the morning noodling sessions.
+Sean Hornibrook they are pretty small yes, but even with my fat fingers the JX03 and JU06 are a breeze to edit. Have not tried the JP08 yet, so will let you know after the jupiter noodle :) cheers and thanks for watching!
Bryan Erickson you can access another 16 patch memories on the JX-03. Check out these notes. You will give up the sequencer when switching to ad the 16 more patch memories. For me it is worth it. Roland JX-03 Boutique Synth Notes "Hidden Bank Access. 16 extra slots for user tones. Hit Tape Memory. Hit key 5 and hold it. While still holding key 5, hit Tape Memory again. To reset to normal operation, hit Tape Memory twice" It basically gives you 16 extra slots for patches, but you loose the sequencer
+Room16Tattoo thanks! yeah, the noise.. is probably due to the outputs being really hot, which is technically a nice thing as it keeps the noise floor down. However, them being to extremely dynamic / espescially in the low end.. when noodling like this, you have to keep the overhead really big.
Thanks for the great demo: it really explores the sonic capabilities of the synth. Please do the same for the other two... for what I've been earing they all sound very similar (and good), so videos like yours are very useful for people like me who are considering buying only one of the boutique. I look forward to see them in action.
ahhh i knew you would get those ;) And how good of Nord to make that very handy space on top of the A1 for your new JX-03 :) Great demo mate :) I thought long and hard whether to get these but i've been saving for some Aira gear so kept to that idea. I picked up my TB3 and TR8 today. Lots of fun :) But definitely have to get the JP-08 soon. Looking forward to hearing what you do with those new toys :)
+halcyondaystunes thanks a lot! these are unfortunately just loaner units, so i have to give them back :( -- however, right now after testing the JX03 and the JU06, the JX is still my favourite, mainly due to nostalgic reasons.. still i have not tried the JP08 properly yet. :)
Don't know how i ended up here , but anyway nice video that proves how good synth always sound great , everything respond like it's supposed to ..... this also def close the deabte about how does it sound versus original , it's sounding how you want it to sound ....
Received one in mail today; it's pretty ok; i love the mixer of 1 or 2 vco together; has sine wave; you can make nice sub basses (put squarewave lfo on it or whatever you want); has pink noise, white noise; you can invert the adsr ... looks nice :)
AWESOME demo! Quick question, since you can daisy chain the same models together to increase voices (ex. JU-06 and another JU-06), can you daisy chain 2 different Boutique modules together to increase voices? ? (Example JU-06 with JP-08)
+Studio P when in chain mode the fifth note will be sent out on midi, this means that having a similar unit with a similar sound would be needed for proper 8 voice performance. Technically you would have a completely different synth.. but that would not serve the purpose. cheers!
radicaldistortion It's good but not better than the original. The original has a magical character to it that only it will have. Here it is in action (the original) soundcloud.com/capferrat/eq2
Oh man, already have the JP-08, considering the JU-06 after the Sonic state review and now after hearing this beautiful pad starting at 21:00 you just sold me on the JX-03 as well, damn here goes my plan at just staying at 1 unit :-P
+Second Civilization haha, sorry about that man. Yeah all three are really great... i got the JX03 for myself mostly for nostalgic reasons. Man they sound really good :) cheers!
Best demo! This synth is tempting me I was wondering, which one would give more vintage sounds? kind of like a Mini Moog (I know its sound is completely different) between JU-06, JX-03, JP-08
Oh thats a tough one, if you need moog style sounds its hard since none of the three have 3OSC. The JP08 is however the most versatile of the three, and has the broader sound palette.
If you put rechargeable batteries in the Boutiques, can you charge them via the micro USB? EXCELLENT playing, btw. I listen to your demos all the time while I'm doing stuff!
Great video! It's a shame that most of the videos posted in youtube are executed with such bad taste! Really apreciate it! Please do a video of the JU-06, I'm trying to decide which one to buy, so it would really be usefull. Hope you can go back to noodling soon :)
I've recently become very curious about the JX-3P. What do the SH-101, Juno 6/60, Jupiter 6/8, MC-202 and JX-3P have in common? The greatest filter Roland ever designed, the IR3109 ota 4 pole filter. Why hasn't the JX-3P generated the kind of interest those other synths have? I would understand if the PG-200 programer didn't exist, but JX-3P's with the PG-200 typically sell on ebay for $800. A Juno 60 typically sells for close to $2k, is the chorus worth an extra $1k? Or is there a difference in the circuits that make the Juno 6/60 sound superior?
i think that the separate pg200 plays a big part in the jx3p not being as successful as the other classic rolands, eg it is pretty lame to program without the PG and having to pay extra to get it puts people off. Just my guess
I don't think it is an issue of sound, because the JU-06, JP-08 and JX-03 can all sound very close to each other. Their interfaces however, are very different. I believe the JU-06 and JX-03 are the better Boutiques, because what made the Jupiter-8 so awesome was its interface, and the JP-08 just doesn't cut it for me.
Wow, Even you try out a Synthesizer sounds so lovely - the melodies you play, are they studied oder do they come spontaneous? I ask because your videos inspired me to learn notes and harmony and Music theory to Play as good tunes as you in your videos. Cheers
+plasterpopulace From my understanding, is that when the unit in poly chain mode the unit will send out the fifth note via MIDI, so techincally you could have another device receiving that note. However, it being a different device with a completely different soundcharachter it would not serve the purpose of polychaining. Note, when having for example 2 units of the same in 8 voice mode, you would have to program dump the sounds to get exact copies on the second device.. and when editing, you would also have to edit both. One disclaimer here, this is only what i have read in manuals and on roland website, i do not have 2 units of the same model to test with so cannot confirm.
Why I have seen in other videos, they were using 3 JX-03 units in poly chain mode, and got 12 notes of polyphony. The poly chain mode shares the patch memory of the first unit, and basically expands the note polyphony from 4, to 8 or 12 notes.
such a great demo thanks! do you think the knobs are easier to dial in on a sweet sound than the little sliders? seems like you have no problems here :)
thanks for the wonderful demo, I'm looking for a small synth module to complement my electro 5d and this seems fit the bill. one question, can you use the pitchbend strip whilst playing the a1 keys?
Thanks a lot - this is probably the most meaningful JX-03 demo out there so far. This will probably be the first of the three modules I'll buy. One questions remains for me, as it did not become entirely clear from what I was hearing: Does the filter fully self-oscillate (whistle) when you turn the resonance all the way up? I heard in another demo that the JU-06 can do that, but not sure about the JX-03 and the JP-08.
+SBRK Not necessarily. It does not only depend on the filter circuit but also on the range of the resonance pot allowed by the manufacturer. Back in the days when analog synths were designed primarily for mainstream music and simulation of acoustic instruments, some manufacturers obviously considered the "nasty" whistling of a self-oscillating filter inappropriate, so they limited the resonance range to avoid it.
+Jörg Starkmuth the JU06 self oscillates, tested that today and can be heard in the JU06 noodle demo.. the JX03 however didnt give it a try, can do it tomorrow to verify. cheers!
+Curt Ostlund I had all three synts for many years so I know them pretty well. If you want the 3p to sel-oscillate you need to open it up and adjust the pots.
+Dario Cozza yeah, thats the reason i want to not have any FX when demoing in the beginning, to display the raw capabilities of the synth. This one sounds really awesome, and when i had my 3P i rarely used the chorus, this is why it was natural to not turn it on at all.
What are your thoughts on them so far? I find it odd that the AIRA stuff invariably sounds excellent but the Boutique line has so far sounded a little flat to me. I'm wondering if the D/A has been skimped on due to the lower price point.
+BluffMunkey there is a difference, 44.1 on the boutique, and 96kHz on the AIRAs... however, playing them in the studio, i really could not tell at all. I like them very much, the JX03 especially, as it has the same quirks and feel as the original. I have not tried out the JP08 properly yet.. so the jury is still out
+ollilaboratories I guess the 96k could make a difference, although I'm not sure it'd be that much. I've listened to your 06 demo as well and I think I'll definitely pass on these. That is NO reflection of your excellent demo's though! :)
Oh my goodness, you 're armed with a lot of sexy looking and great sounding polyphonic weapons :-))) Well I am not very familiar with the JX 3P but it sounds like a classic Roland , and in your musical hands really beautiful! Looks even with the mini knobs like fun to tweak it!
+VolcaRock yeah, these little babies are great fun.. they are loaner units so sadly i have to return them soon. However, i will make my best to try and create some nice videos while having them in my possession. They are really fun to tweak, and sound extremely good :))
Most other demos suck so bad, not this one! I'm still not a fan of these series, but for the price I think everyone will have at least one. How could you not?
+slammah2012 of course it isnt limited in the Long run.... Roland needs to get a return on their dev costs , so as Long as the demand is there they Will sell
Very nice demo... I'm thinking about buying the jp-08, please let me know what you think about all three. I trust your taste in synth, and it would be nice with some advice on which one to get. I can only fit one or two in my studio. But it seems the jp-08 is the most versatile. Could you maybe test the sequencer ass well on one of the next demos?
+Fante247 i am running through all three, have limited time to test them... the JU06 video is now online - ruclips.net/video/tUgppYxfWps/видео.html -- JP08 coming soon
So this synth has 4 voice polyphony right? I'm sort of new to the synth world so this would mean you can only play 4 notes at once right? Also 10/10 best demo(s) for the boutique series thanks :)
I always liked the JX-3P's sound, but hated it's looks. Think it's the violin, oboe, planet and jet printed on the front. Still don't know what Roland was thinking when they designed the looks. But man, this reincarnation sounds great. Wasn't eager to try this one in a shop, but after hearing your excellent noodling it will be the first one. Sadly they kept the stupid print, but at least it's smaller now :)
+Daetwan Williams well, the original JX3P did not have an arpeggiator, so that one is sort of ok. The Jupiter 8 however should (imho to be a perfect copy) have one. They do have sequencers though.. maybe this was the reason for not adding an arp. i dunno.. i dont miss one though in the JX03.
Great demo! I've got the JP-08 and the JU-06. The only thing that's putting me off the JX-03 is the fact that there's only 16 user memories. Not enough for me for the price. Intergrating the PG-200 into the unit is an achievement but at least I would have expected to give us 2 x 16 banks of user memories.
+Garry Field +Ross Carter memory banks for me is not a problem ( i only use manual mode ) however i can see this being a problem for others when wanting to store a set etc. You can dump sounds / patches into the computer if that helps.
+ollilaboratories Thanks for feedback. As its so portable, I like the idea of a standalone and writing patches anywhere inspiration sttikrs without having to lug the laptop with me as well for backing up. 16 user memories is a bit mean for that.
+Garry Field Hi Garry. Both JU-06 and JP-08 have 8 x 8 banks. Total of 64 user memories. JX-03 problem is that it has presets that can't be overwritten and then only 16 user memories. The original JX-3P had 32. Some models even had a 'secret' bank which gave you an additional 16 user memories I believe. All being said, I'm still tempted by the JX-03 for what it is :-)
that is a FX pedal board case, would probably work fine for a live setup and/or if you have space for one unit on your main keyboard like nord lead i am using in this vid. cheers
Nice videos - you did better job than whole Roland marketing department. Just to be clear - those instruments don't have any FX (delay, reverb etc.) - Am I correct?
while kinda cool, this is the one Roland KB that really didn't need a recreation. Ive used these but they weren't that exciting back in the day. I always thought of them as Juno's with limited control. Did they have a character of their own? Maybe I missed something
+skyreader society i actually already chose the JX03, more versatile than the JU06, and cheaper than the JP08.. plus that i used to own a JX3P back in the day, so nostalgia aswell. cheers!
You're so grat, 'cause you're not even using presets, but programming the sounds on the fly, i'd like to do so.... I also own JX-03, and feel a bit limited by only 16 user presets....
+nobel 11 they have all audio inputs, have not tried them out.. however thats a checkbox for my music session with all three later, so i will have that figured out soon :)
+ollilaboratories not exactly a track, it just sounds a bit like the score from the movie. Really loved these 2 videos though. Helped me decide which I wanted and were the only ones to do so.
+kikkirow JX3p is easy to program... and there are things you can do which I have yet to hear from any other synth if you look at the Metal sync and now ring options
+Mattia Vasarin when the sequence is playing, you can play with the melody.. but to my understanding you cannot transpose the sequence. BPM can be controlled via midi so thats simple. cheers
+303otto these are just loaner units, which means i have to given them back later... :( .. however i am definitely gunning for the JX03, its a lovely synth :)
+The Dude coming up, the JU06 noodle is already online - ruclips.net/video/tUgppYxfWps/видео.html -- JP08 next, but i have not planned the session time yet :)
Hi, can you explain me how any of these synth (let's take the JX-03) is connect to a keyboard with more keys than the K25-M (for exemple if I want to play on a 61keys) do I need an analog synth to connect it to the JX-03 or any MIDI Keyboard can work aswell (maybe it's a midi our usb connection from the JX-03 to the keyboard?) Thanks a lot !
+Arno Ramon any midi keyboard will do the trick, i cant really see any issues on that part. MIDI out on your keyboard to MIDI in on the JX03, set the midi channel and you are good to go.
Honestly this is the BEST demo of the boutique series. Bravo! No nonsense, showing the POLYPHONIC nature of this synth. And good music too!
+Dimitris Dermanis thanks man, appreciated.. glad you enjoyed it. cheers!
i agree with him. generally the best demos are those with no talkinga and people showing the sound module. which is also the fewest. i really dont care how many oscs are where, it depends on how it sounds.
What's more 80s sounding. This or the JP-08?
or maby it’s the Ju-06(a) that is more 80’s ?:)
This series of demos on Roland's Boutique synths is the best I've come across so far. I've recently picked up the JX-03 as my first real hardware synth. I foresee quite a few wee hours of the morning noodling sessions.
5:53 sent shivers down my spine man. Personally one of the finest feelings in the world. Thank you brother.
Billy Rigney thanks for the kind words, glad you enjoyed the demo. peace!
ollilaboratories Anytime man really enjoying all of your videos
Definitely the best demo I've seen so far!
+Martin Taha thanks!!!
best Jx-03 demo on the net
+Tone Box thanks! :)
really really good demo. Love the views and the constant demo and fiddling, with no voice over.
thanks a lot, glad you liked it.. ! cheers !
Oh wow even smaller than I thought it would be... Really awesome sounds! Awesome video as always. :)
+Sean Hornibrook they are pretty small yes, but even with my fat fingers the JX03 and JU06 are a breeze to edit. Have not tried the JP08 yet, so will let you know after the jupiter noodle :) cheers and thanks for watching!
the 16 user memory on this is a real drag cause it sounds amazing, the best of all 3
Bryan Erickson you can access another 16 patch memories on the JX-03. Check out these notes. You will give up the sequencer when switching to ad the 16 more patch memories. For me it is worth it. Roland JX-03 Boutique Synth Notes
"Hidden Bank Access.
16 extra slots for user tones.
Hit Tape Memory.
Hit key 5 and hold it.
While still holding key 5, hit Tape Memory again.
To reset to normal operation, hit Tape Memory twice"
It basically gives you 16 extra slots for patches, but you loose the sequencer
Nice square lfo sequence around 6min. haunting
Wasn't that a sample and hold sequence?
Brilliant demo mate :)
Doesn't seem to suffer the noise that is in pretty much most of the other demo's, sound pretty damn good too!
+Room16Tattoo thanks! yeah, the noise.. is probably due to the outputs being really hot, which is technically a nice thing as it keeps the noise floor down. However, them being to extremely dynamic / espescially in the low end.. when noodling like this, you have to keep the overhead really big.
I thoroughly enjoyed this for the music itself.
I'm buying this now
so bought one today for $235 and love it :D using it with my Digitakt
Thanks for the great demo: it really explores the sonic capabilities of the synth.
Please do the same for the other two... for what I've been earing they all sound very similar (and good), so videos like yours are very useful for people like me who are considering buying only one of the boutique.
I look forward to see them in action.
+Philip+ thanks man! Yeah, thats the plan... just need to find me some time to noodle away :)
+ollilaboratories You take your time: music is all about pleasure, not pressure :)
So glad they made desktop units!
Love the patch playing at 22:30
This one is really underrated, but it's my favorite.
I've had a jx3p/pg200 for 30 years. I have never managed to make it sound like 21:18 onwards. Wow
Do you know which cords those were from 21:00 onward?
I believe he is using external fx @ the 21:00 mark forward.
21 min mark made me buy this
ahhh i knew you would get those ;) And how good of Nord to make that very handy space on top of the A1 for your new JX-03 :)
Great demo mate :) I thought long and hard whether to get these but i've been saving for some Aira gear so kept to that idea. I picked up my TB3 and TR8 today. Lots of fun :) But definitely have to get the JP-08 soon. Looking forward to hearing what you do with those new toys :)

So, Olli... did you get 1 each of the 3 Roland Boutiques (JX-03, JU-06 and JP-08), or did you go for a System-8? :)
Don't know how i ended up here , but anyway nice video that proves how good synth always sound great , everything respond like it's supposed to ..... this also def close the deabte about how does it sound versus original , it's sounding how you want it to sound ....
great review, wonderful chords. thanks
Thanks Man!!!!
Really, the best demo...
Amazing playing! Want to see you playing the JU-06
+xXDjOdysseyXx DJODDYSSEY thanks a lot! th JU06 video is up now - ruclips.net/video/tUgppYxfWps/видео.html
Amazing video. I'm considering getting one of those instead of a microKorg. Love the sound of this one
My dream setup right now: the A1 and at least two of the boutiques... DAMN YOU! :D
+Fixmix78 :D
Received one in mail today; it's pretty ok; i love the mixer of 1 or 2 vco together; has sine wave; you can make nice sub basses (put squarewave lfo on it or whatever you want); has pink noise, white noise; you can invert the adsr ... looks nice :)
negative issues the hp and lp filters dont seem to do much; are very slow reactive ...
Nice I so want one of these!
Great. Thank you.
Very nice demo man.. Can't wait for you to demo the other ones too :)
+Payt Laros thanks, they will be there soon! :) cheers
Great demo thank you!
+Rob Edwards thanks for watching, cheers !

+Second Civilization haha, sorry about that man. Yeah all three are really great... i got the JX03 for myself mostly for nostalgic reasons. Man they sound really good :) cheers!
Dammit now I want one!
It's awesome, this winter i'm definitively going to spend too much money
Would be good if Roland put ALL the Aira models into one keyboard or module.
This isn't an Aira model though...??
littlegee wow you called the new jpxm give this man some credit
Damn good demo. Made me buy one
After a year do you regret it?
Dunno if I would add one to my collection, but it sure sounds good!
Best demo! This synth is tempting me

this will add warmth to my Radias and fits on a Korg Radias Accessory tray

DerBaxxter I agree with you on this completely. I wanna know what scales those are in!

+drstupid1 thanks, i have no problems at all dialing in the sound on the JX03, it is very smooth imho, as for the others i will soon know :)
So I have the JP-08 now, but limited finance... What do I buy next????
This vid convinced me to just order one of these before they're all gone! Is it your favourite of the boutiques?
17:18 the next minute is my favorite
Great demo. I have to say, I bought the JX-03 on the strength of this video. You should work for Roland... :D
PlaystationLounge ;-) cheers and thanks man, haha maybe they can offer me a job, lol
wie immer SUPER mein Bester :)

Nice !!!
How come you get to play with all this amazing gear? Do you have Skype?
Amazing video!
thanks!
This sounds great ! but did you notice that all your virtual analog synths sound much more analog once you switch completely off all the effects?
+Dario Cozza yeah, thats the reason i want to not have any FX when demoing in the beginning, to display the raw capabilities of the synth. This one sounds really awesome, and when i had my 3P i rarely used the chorus, this is why it was natural to not turn it on at all.
hey wow que bueno gracias por el video saludos desde Mexico
Gracias!! cheers :)
17:24 - 17:28 you change to that particular sound. Did that come directly out or was external the chorus being used? BTW Fantastic video series mate!
+burntrobot no external FX prior 20 mins, what you hear is the sync being enabled/tweaked. thanks! :)
excellent demo :)
What are your thoughts on them so far? I find it odd that the AIRA stuff invariably sounds excellent but the Boutique line has so far sounded a little flat to me. I'm wondering if the D/A has been skimped on due to the lower price point.

Oh my goodness, you 're armed with a lot of sexy looking and great sounding polyphonic weapons :-)))
Well I am not very familiar with the JX 3P but it sounds like a classic Roland ,
and in your musical hands really beautiful!
+ollilaboratories And I thought Roland would be so clever to support your channel with the boutiques for free :-)
I can see and hear the fun!
Most other demos suck so bad, not this one!
I'm still not a fan of these series, but for the price I think everyone will have at least one. How could you not?
+SPL because they are a limited release.... its scramble for them now or lose out
+slammah2012 of course it isnt limited in the Long run.... Roland needs to get a return on their dev costs , so as Long as the demand is there they Will sell
nengstro Probably limited as they might get replaced with Roland's other vintage models such as Jupiter 6, Alpha Juno, etc...
+SPL For the price? way overpriced.
+Seany06 what else can you buy for 299?
I ordered 2 Jx units...
+slammah2012 the only thing I don't see is the Brilliance slider
Nice demo
Very nice demo... I'm thinking about buying the jp-08, please let me know what you think about all three. I trust your taste in synth, and it would be nice with some advice on which one to get. I can only fit one or two in my studio. But it seems the jp-08 is the most versatile. Could you maybe test the sequencer ass well on one of the next demos?
+Fante247 i am running through all three, have limited time to test them... the JU06 video is now online - ruclips.net/video/tUgppYxfWps/видео.html -- JP08 coming soon
+ollilaboratories Great!!! Thx for the effort. Don't forget the sequencer ;)
nice demo.do you notice any latency issues??
So this synth has 4 voice polyphony right? I'm sort of new to the synth world so this would mean you can only play 4 notes at once right? Also 10/10 best demo(s) for the boutique series thanks :)
+ch0pis yes, that would be correct! cheers and thanks
Buying one TODAY
Great demo. I hear the main downside to these are lack of appreggiator function. That true?
+Ross Carter hi ross.user memory is a issue for me.which one has the most write -to memory?
All being said, I'm still tempted by the JX-03 for what it is :-)
thanks ross.i like the dials on the 03 ,but love the jupiter sound ...but such small sliders!
Excellent demo! Please do the same for the other two:-)
+running in long grass thanks man, thats the plan :)
thx for these 😃
cheers and thanks ! :)
WOW
grande :-)
What is that case that holds the 2 units? That is the issue that I see with these units; how to use them in a live setting.
that is a FX pedal board case, would probably work fine for a live setup and/or if you have space for one unit on your main keyboard like nord lead i am using in this vid. cheers
Nice work! Can you provide us the chords you used?
+LotusCarsLtd thanks!! Sorry, the chords are just random noodling so nothing really to share :) cheers!
16 min mark is where this video starts
Nice videos - you did better job than whole Roland marketing department. Just to be clear - those instruments don't have any FX (delay, reverb etc.) - Am I correct?
+Matthew Legowicz thanks man! All three boutiques do have built in delay, however i did not use them on my demos and tracks .. yet :) cheers!
while kinda cool, this is the one Roland KB that really didn't need a recreation. Ive used these but they weren't that exciting back in the day. I always thought of them as Juno's with limited control. Did they have a character of their own? Maybe I missed something
I know they sell a 25 key midi keyboard but what keyboard you using to play it?
+Oh Yah you can use any standard keyboard that has MIDI to play it. cheers
If you'd had to choose between the 3 boutiques which one would be your favorite and why?
+skyreader society i actually already chose the JX03, more versatile than the JU06, and cheaper than the JP08.. plus that i used to own a JX3P back in the day, so nostalgia aswell. cheers!
Ah, but does it still say "Sourse" and "Enverope" on the panel? :)
Does it respond to midi velocity from keys in?
yes it does
You're so grat, 'cause you're not even using presets, but programming the sounds on the fly, i'd like to do so....
I also own JX-03, and feel a bit limited by only 16 user presets....
Do these have audio inputs, so you can run external sounds through the filters?
+nobel 11 they have all audio inputs, have not tried them out.. however thats a checkbox for my music session with all three later, so i will have that figured out soon :)
Thanks
+nobel 11 no filter nor chorus processing.. just audio pass through unfortunately.
Aw, bummer. I wanted a Juno chorus!
9:55. American Beauty?
If thats a track reference? :D Anyways, not sure.. this is just noodling, eg it could be just about anything :) cheers
+ollilaboratories not exactly a track, it just sounds a bit like the score from the movie. Really loved these 2 videos though. Helped me decide which I wanted and were the only ones to do so.
Braahms aah, okok.. now i got you! Yes, sort of marimba style, yes! :) Glad that i could be of help!! cheers
+ollilaboratories you were indeed! Keep on keeping man. Cheers!
And yet you use a beautiful Nord Lead to play this :). Always wanted a jx-3p but it seems they are really hard to program.
+kikkirow JX3p is easy to program... and there are things you can do which I have yet to hear from any other synth if you look at the Metal sync and now ring options
+kikkirow the 3P is really a breeze, its one knob per function.. really a no brainer :)
in seq. mode it's possible to change the note (tune)? And the sync with the laptop (bpm)? tnx ;)
+Mattia Vasarin when the sequence is playing, you can play with the melody.. but to my understanding you cannot transpose the sequence. BPM can be controlled via midi so thats simple. cheers
love this demo, anyone chained 2 x JX-03 to get 8 note poly?
+Mr-G Jones thanks!! i think there are some demos and ppl on the tube that has done that already,.. i only had one each so could not test. cheers !
all 3? :O
...you son of... no, just kidding ;D
Graz to the new equipment you luckyone :D
+303otto these are just loaner units, which means i have to given them back later... :( .. however i am definitely gunning for the JX03, its a lovely synth :)
+The Dude coming up, the JU06 noodle is already online - ruclips.net/video/tUgppYxfWps/видео.html -- JP08 next, but i have not planned the session time yet :)
+ollilaboratories
ah, i see.. hmm.. on the other hand you luckyone who can test all 3 at home :D
MIDI out on your keyboard to MIDI in on the JX03, set the midi channel and you are good to go.
ollilaboratories Nice thanks a lot man, also great video keep rocking
sounds real fat. has the jx-03 an arpegio too?
+hi-tech soul no arpeggio, just the sequencer. cheers!
Hi! Can you make LFO modulate the pitch?
yes you can, cheers !
