funny u should say that as there happens to be a mod for the US SNES version of FF6 called "return of the dark sorcerer" where that is actually a true thing, all of cyan's swrdtech skills are changed in name and somewhat functionality to resemble cloud's various limits barring a few exceptions to be specific braver is basically just braver, climhazzard is a counter replacing retort or w/e the lvl 2 swordtech for cyan was, blade beam doesnt do cleave damage like in FF7 but sets sap, omnislash is just cyan's lvl 4 swrdtech renamed same for his lvl 8 just being renamed to omnislash v5, the level 5 was altered slightly mostly in name, the level 6 was changed to be known as "meteor sword" (why not meteorain i got no clue) and now can set stop when possible, and the lvl 7 was renamed to finishing touch and works similarly to how it does in FF7
The FF6 Crew:' WTF is this?' Sephiroth then throws Supernova:' WE'RE SCREWED!' If they survive THAT, after Final Sephiroth's defeat, Final Ultimecia decides to say hi! Which is possible, because she was breaking time and space itself! This was so badass, new subscriber!
You'd think Sephiroth would show up before Kefka since the FF6 final boss fight was the Divine Comedy and Kefka was meant to represent God. Sephiroth's final form was a Seraphim.
its proven that sephiroth is in the top 5 strongest characters in the final fantasy series (including playable characters too) with cloud just above him

But since you wanna go there: Kefka usurped the Triad and became God of all Magic, and defeating him caused it to not exist at all. Sephiroth was a masterful Illusipnist that couldn’t even stall till a Meteor hit the planet. Even his most powerful move was canonically an illusion.
@@theofficial_night if you’d ask him he’d probably say so. The more I think about it the more I like OG Sephiroth before the retcons. He was pure “Fake it till you make it”. A lot of his early power came from the corporation he worked for plus his own bloodline. That didn’t ultimately matter too much cuz he got overwhelmed by an unmodified Soldier Grunt. After that he was mind-controlling other people to do things for him. And that’s why I think Super Nova was a genius move: An illusion so vivid it inflicts psychic damage that can’t even kill it’s target. Even at the very end he was screwing with people. Knowing him, Meteor wouldn’t have even killed the Planet if it hit.
