This was excellent and so helpful to a novice like myself who has no local shop to actually see fabrics & floss. I’m thrilled to see the sample packs bring offered and am off to order both. Thank you both!

Thank you, Cathe and Nicola, for taking the time to share your knowledge of silk threads. They seem like such a mystery... I enjoyed learning about the different types of silk and the uses - this is my first view of the video, but now I'm going to watch it again so that I can take notes. Thank you.

Thanks for this video Nicola. I learned so much Cathe, and look forward to trying out the silks and linens coming my way from your shop. What a generous gesture to offer us those sampler packs, truly appreciated. Cheers, Margit.

I LOVED this, so interesting and useful! Thank you both! Btw, I have had Cathe put together many threads (long distance) for a needlepoint project and she was super great, with personalized service. Her shop has a fabulous thread site too, with all the threads and colors.

Thank you Nicola and Cathe. I am restarting my cross-stitching since my last project in 1985! Then silks are gorgeous. I've always enjoyed hand needlework.

What a fabulous review of all the silks! It's a great tutorial with so much information. I'll likely view it again to catch more details. Of course, now I'm very excited about stitching something in silk since I've never used it for hand embroidery.

Thank you for this wonderful video. What a font of knowledge you both are. I always turn a shade of green with envy when I watch your store based videos. I love the UK but sometimes I really wish I lived in the US to have access to those wonderful stores. Postage and custom fees often put me off purchasing from the US as I find in a lot of cases it can double the cost of the item.

Fascinating! I learned so much and am so curious to experiment and keep some personal record as Cathe did for future reference. Can’t wait to learn more about needles. I always have enjoyed Cathy’s very thorough dive into different topics, she is so curious about the topic and scientific in her

I learned a lot and I was most interested in Cathe validating Splendor can be used in cross stitch as I opted to use it for Theresa, Kitten Stitcher’s Sampler Saviour’s Praise. Thanks, Nicola and Cathe.

Very interesting and informative video. Also intrigued to try some of the different threads. Would anyone be prepared to put together a set of threads all different silks in different colour families such as autumn or summer shades etc for us to try. I think that would be great. Decided to order both the sample kits.

What a great video, I've learned so much! thank you!!! I wonder if there are 'starter kits' available of silks commonly used in samplers (I know, there are so many colors! not easy to do...) Access Commodities has some variety of silk packs available on Cathe's site (needle in haystack like this: www.needlestack.com/WebStore/Thread/AVAS_FleshTones.html, and here is another: search.cartserver.com/search/search.cgi?cartid=s-2841&category=thread&bool=AND&keywords=Ensemble&go=Search but wondered if they would ever do packs of silks in a variety of colors for those just wanting to have them in their stash.
