    Cool stuff, there is not that many tutorials about 2d drawing for Rhino :)

    Great Tutorial, can you explain how you made the your title block with user attribute text? i'd like to make a dynamic title block for my company.

      Hi Alexandra, did you download the one I supplied in the description? If you open that one you can probably see how the text fields are set up. If not let me know.

      @@studiogijs I did download the title block model in the description. I am confused because the attribute user text requires an object to reference. the text in your title block seems to reference the block instance itself but i haven't been able to make that work. did you create the attribute user text and then turn the title block curves and text into a block instance?

    hi, sorry im new to this stuff can you tell me what should i do after download the layout toolbar?

    • @studiogijs
      @studiogijs  2 года назад

      Did you also download the scripts? If you edit the toolbar buttons, you will see that these are pointing to scripts. After downloading the scripts put them in a fixed drive location and change the path name in the toolbar buttons.

      @@studiogijs ya i also download the scripts. Sorry i dont know what you mean put them in a fixed drive location.

    • @studiogijs
      @studiogijs  2 года назад

      @@stargazer2428 what I mean is you put them in a location like for example D:\scripts and then in your toolbar you change the path to the script to that location. If you need more help please write a question on the rhino forum at discourse.mcneel.com that’s more convenient than here on RUclips.

    My annotations are not visible in my layout page???? Would you provide a video explaining how to properly size annotations for notes and dimensions so that they are visible in model space as well as paper space at various scales ?

    • @studiogijs
      @studiogijs  2 года назад

      hi Donavin, The logic is as following: First make your layout show the numbers correctly sized (use the 'scale all sizes' in your annotation for this. Then when this looks good, go to model view and adjust the model scale in your annotation style to get it right. Let me know if this makes sense.

    Is there an advantage of doing this in RHino (looks like a lot of manual steps) instead of in software like Fusion360?

    • @louis-charlesdufresne522
      @louis-charlesdufresne522 9 месяцев назад +1

      there is absolutely none. I've been using different CAD softwares (SW, Fusion, SKP, and RHINO) over my career. I got forced into using Rhino. While Rhino is very fast and flexible its lacking in terms of efficiency and accuracy when doing 2D drawings. Rhino is sub-par and way behind all the other ones when it comes to creating technical drawings or even simple layouts. It's pretty appalling in 2023 IMO.

    Los números 6, 9, 66, 68, 89, 98 y 99 que se sitúan sobre una línea de cota llevan escritos un punto detrás y a su pie, como un signo símbolo identificativo, cuando pueden ocasionar dudas al ser causa de que se lean invertidos.

    Hi, thanks for the helpful video, but I was wondering if there is a way to control the K-factor while unrolling sheets. As I know K-factor is usually shared by the manufacturer based on their tool and other programs that have the direct ability to work with sheet metal, have this K-factor input. Is there a way to control it?

    • @studiogijs
      @studiogijs  4 месяца назад

      Rhino has no sheet metal module. In most cases, I just model objects as the final result needs to be, and hand it over to the manufacturer as 3d model, and let their software do the the correct unrolling. This particular case with thin aluminium sheets is more of an exception, where things can be simplified with little error. If you do need to perform this yourself, it will require a bit of hand work after enrolling. It depends on the amount of parts and complexity if that is feasible or not.

      Hi Pablo, the toolbar is in the description all the way to the bottom. It’s a .rui file though and will only work in Rhino for Windows. Furthermore you will need to edit the toolbar yourself to point it to the right file locations. Let me know if you need additional info.
