Candace, thank you so much for your sermon. You are absolutely right when you say that it starts with you - inside. I firmly believe that once you know you are loved and have the permission to love yourself (without any conditions!), then it is natural for you to love others. There is no control or manipulation in love. If there is, it is no longer love but power. I have practised mindfulness which helps you to relax and put things in perspective. Perhaps this is a form of prayerful meditation. Didn't Jesus go away to a quiet place to pray? I'm now living in the Philippines but when I was in the UK, I used to go to Quaker meetings, which I found very therapeutic. Quakers see that of God in each person, so they give equal respect to everyone. They also respect each person's journey of life. Over the last few years since November 2011 I have become a much quieter person, whose focus is outward rather than inward in a self-absorbed way. As far as I am concerned, my "mission" is to love others and enable them to find their own way in life, wherever that takes them. The point is authenticity- being true to yourself! That will mean different things to different people. If we truly love others, we will be willing to listen and learn and encourage - not dictate or say what they should do. Can we see that of God in every person we meet - even those who hate us?
1 Corinthians 14:34 the woman should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the law also says, that is a Bible fact. What don't you understand about the Lord's word?
@@StevenRay64 Wonderland? I think not. I see that misogyny reigns in a few dark corners of this world. I suppose you are going to say that a woman's place is as the homemaker while her "man" is the breadwinner. Sir, we live in the 21st century where patriarchy is no longer the norm. In fact, what's normal. Didn't Jesus say: Do not judge? Didn't Paul also say that? Didn't Jesus also say: Love one another, even as I have loved you. I see precious little love in your response. As a human being, I respect you. However, you are in dire need of conversion therapy, my brother!! We are all made in the image of God. If we disrespect anyone, we are disrespecting God. By the way, God is Love. The only definition of love which makes it love is that it is unconditional. You don't have to prove anything. All you have to do is discover the real you and that you are unconditionally loved. Once you do, you will find inner peace and you will find it easier to love others, no matter who they are. We all belong to the same human family. A large part of discovering who you are is discovering who God is. Let the spirit guide you. Discard any words that don't accord with unconditional love. You are not here to hate either yourself or others. You are here to be loved and love.

For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the law also says. You Lady are not obeying the Lord's words word and that is a Bible fact.
Nixing the truth with a lie
that’s why jesus came…
I thought Jesus came to share grace with humankind by dying on the cross for the forgiveness of sins. I’ll take his grace everyday over your judgement.

@@angeliinaamorenno He is coming for the ones that obey and love him. He will judge people like you and this lady pertaining to be something that Jesus forbides!
